The iTunes gift card field is optional, you don't have to fill it in - leave it blank if you don't have a gift card.
iTunes gift cards are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue), and they are not available in all countries - so you might not be able to dill it anyway. -

Help! I am a newbie at this. Have an Iphone 4s has been working fine. I use my calendar for appts. and I have assigned ringtones for certain contacts. Today for no reason that I know of the calendar is empty and the special ringtones are gone. I just received an ipad air and have beenplaying with it. That is the only different variable. I dont know what I did to make the calendar erase as well as the ringtones.

Before you set that up, you will have to make a new iCould account which you can simply do after you sign out of your mom's account on your devices.

You have to connect with your Apple account and the Store will change in what is yours. it will shows you that you can only purchase stuff in your country.

I haven't done it. But if you set it up as new, just long enough to be able to update the operating system. Then go in and 'erase all content and settings'. This puts your iPad back to its out of box state, just not the operating system. You can then set your iPad up again, but this time you restore it from the backup of your old one.

We just got 2 iPad air today and Set up both with the same Apple ID, now I'm getting FaceTime and messages for my 12 yr. old. Do I have to set up a separate Apple ID for her to avoid this?
It's a trust issue. You can set them up so you don't receive each other's messages as long as you each have your own email address.
The trust issue is the fact that either of you can change the separation at any time via Settings by checking the appropriate (inappropriate?) email address.
To be absolutely sure you can never receive each other's messages will require two Apple IDs. -
I am new to Apple and just got my iPad Air. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can migrate Contacts from Windows Mail and Favorites from IE that are on a Windows Vista desktop ? The recommendation that I have seen are via using iCloud but that does not appear to work for Windows Vista, just Windows 7 and 8. Thanks.
You could try putting your contacts in through Gmail and then signing in with that Gmail on your iPad. You could also try searching for some kind of app that will transfer data easily (I'll look into it and update it if I find anything). I don't have any Microsoft products so I'm not sure if I'm much help but I'll definitely try. You'll definitely love coming to Apple it's much simpler and easier!

My wife just got this iPad mini and I want to copy the address book on my iPad 2 over to the mini. Can I use iCloud to do this and what are the steps. The 2 devices have different Apple IDs.
Download the "My Contacts Backup" app from App Store to your iPad 2. Make a backup and send it by email to your wife's address. Open this email from iPad mini and tap the attachment to import the contacts into iPad mini Contacts app.

To avoid having to pay again for apps you have already purchased, use the same Apple ID (likely the current one) on both devices. You can adjust this in:
Settings > iTunes & App Store.
So that you can communicate with each other, use separate Apple IDs for iCloud, Messages, and FaceTime. Adjust those in:
Settings > iCloud
Settings > Messages
Settings > FaceTime -

Good day sir, please i just got an iPAD 4 and I have bee having a serious difficulties performing some operations on it of which was told it is possible one of which is to create a microsoft word documents on my iPAD the second is attaching a file to y e mail in order too send Also, I have not been able to safe a download files on my iPAD as I do not have a download manager on it. Please, kindly send to me ways of getting these problems fixed as i am a young resarcher who sends a lot of mails and download as wel. I read somethng like stylus pen but I don't know how far. Please, kindly make an appropriate recommendaton for me and where i can get it. I reside in Turkey and currently a Ph.D stuudent in ine of the leading niversities in the country. Also, I will like to know if you ave ecoonomics text books that I can buy or published journas in apple store because i have searched but could not get a desirerable ones.

You don't say whether you are on PC or Mac. For Mac there are these two programs which might help (I havn't tried either) :

There are probably similar programs for PCs, but I don't know what they are. On a PC you can hold the shift key and do File > Display Exact Duplicates (without the shift they may not be exact matches) - if one of each duplicate pair has the same date added then you can sort by that and then delete those with (or without) that date. -
