help my i phone is frozen wont reset screen is itunes ixcon with arrow and port on bottm
its not frozen this is as far as the screen goes. if you plug it in it will say it recognizes a device in recovery mode you most restore before it can be use in itunes again

Generate another of those errors, and click the "Click here" link in the error message box.
What modname and modver do you see for the error? (Precise spelling, please.)

I am new to iphones. I am not technically minded at all. I plugged my phone into the computer (Dell, Windows 7) and the window that popped up asked if I wanted updates. I clicked install. Then another window said it was unable to install as I needed the latest update of itunes. I thought I had that on my phone! Due the unsuccessful updation your iPhone has stuck in recovery mode. you need to download the iOS 7.0.2 from the following link http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7/091-9872.20130924.2wc82/iPhone4,1_7.0.2_11A501_Re store.ipsw and restore your device manually,please make sure you have all the backup stored since this will be a restore not an update so you data will be lost and you will have to restore your data from backup.You can do this by shift + mouse click the restore button in iTunes this will give you an opendialogue box to select the iPSW from which you want to update your iPhone after that have some patience and let the iTunes complete the installation and enjoy iOS 7.0.2.

I downloaded pictures to my computer. Then the computer started to make me use iCloud. I continued with the process and now all of a sudden, my phone has froze!!!

Did you do a backup before you did the iOS update. You should always do this in case of problems. Otherwise your data/files my be lost.

We just did the iPhone update ios 6. The screen is frozen with the iTunes logo and a picture of a USB cale across the screen. none of the buttons respond.The phone does not recognize the apple USB when connected. We tried holding all the buttons down at the same time and also removed the SIM card and reinserted.
If it's not being recognized while it's in recovery mode in your itunes, try this
plug the phone into the usb attached to the computer
hold down the home and sleep/wake button on top simultaneously until the phone's screen goes black
When the screen goes black, release your finger from the sleep/week button on top but continue holding the home button until you see a dialog on the itunes screen on your computer that says 'itunes has detected a device in recovery mode'
then say 'ok,' select 'restore,' and say 'restore and update' -

First of all, your post says you have an iPhone 3G running iOS 6.0.1. That is not possible, as the iPhone 3G cannot run any iOS past 4.2.1.
So, if you simply made a mistake with that information, we can proceed. If not, your iPhone was hacked or jailbroken, and likely cannot be saved.
Try recovery mode as described below. You may have to try to put the iPhone into recovery mode more than once.
