My iPad won't turn on. It was fine when i put it down and now it will not come up. It is charged and should power up.

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Have you tried forcing a reboot? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. If you see the silver apple it's rebooting and it may com back that way.

My ipad won"t turn on and it worked this morning before work

i used my ipad this morning before work to check emails, etc.. then turned off and went to work. Now I am home and have 10 minutes to my self and it won't turn on. I plugged it in, I think it was running low battery wise, but it is doing nothing. When I plugged into computer, the computer isn't noticing it is there.

It sounds like you're not able to use iMessage on your iPad. You've tried some good troubleshooting steps, and I'd recommend these additional steps:
Turn off iMessage and FaceTime and restart
Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
Restart your device.
Turn iMessage and FaceTime back on.
Still not activated after an hour?
It might take a few minutes to activate iMessage and FaceTime. If you've waited more than an hour, try these steps:
Make sure that your device has the latest version of iOS.
If you're using an iPhone, contact your carrier to make sure that you can receive SMS messages.
Contact Apple Support.

When you say a reboot do you mean a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. Happened to me once, about 6 months ago, and a reset got it working again.
