app store on iphone 3G is not working. what could be d problem? please help!

i cant see my app store too
1. Settings > General > Installing Apps > ON
2. Search for App Store app on all home screen pages and folders, OR
3. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout (This will also arrange 3rd party apps alphabetically and deletle folders)

    My friend recently got one today. And shes telling me that the App Store icon is missing.
    She already
    1) Checked all the pages to make sure it wasent there
    2) Its Version 4.0.2
    3) Turned the phone off and turned it back on
    4) Went into settings and restrictions and its on "On"
    Anyone can help? I was gonna tell her to do a restore but then she would have to back up her phone and if she did and backed the restore from the back up that it may bring along the problem again. On the other hand, if she does a simple restore with no back up, shes gonna lose all her contacts.
    What should she do?

    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout...see if you see it now.

    today, I wanna update some software, when i bring up the Mac App Store, it will not let me click in the Search box.  Also, when I click on "Categories" "Update", etc. at the top of the page, they will highlight but not go to those pages.

    Just spoke with AppleCare -- turns App Store issue was their problem.  It's been resolved and now works correctly.  We're still working on the issue of all my mail disappearing.

    Quit the App Store app and reset your iPad.
    Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

    Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap the ID and sign out. Sign in with the correct ID. You can also swipe down to your ID in the App Store itself in the Featured Tab.

    i recently ran cleanmymac and cleared a bunch of cache, could this have affected?

      May be that " CleanMyMac" cleaned too much.
      Remove it and try again.

    Turn off proxies, if selected.
         System Preference > Network > Advanced  > Proxies Tab
         Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.
         Click "OK" then  "Apply"

  • App Store, Ical, Preview Not Opening after Mavericks Upgrade

    Hi,
    I've upgraded to Mavericks and since the update i've not been able to open App Store, Ical, Preview apps. The apps will not launch from either the dock bar or applications folder.
    The apps bounce once when selected then do nothing more.
    Anyone else having these issues or know of a work around?

  • Iphone 4s app store search is not working

    When I use the search feature in my Appstore app, I get a blank white screen. All of the other features work within the app. This has been almost a week now that it will not search for an app and I am starting to get annoyed. Has anyone else been having this problem and does anyone know how to fix it??

    Same thing is happening to me except I get a blank black screen.  I've tried shutting the phone off and turning it back on but did not help.

    The only way to reinstall the App Store is by downloadiing and installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
    Restart your Mac after the update is installed. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8.

    like already posted here you have LEOPARD. But MacAppStore is a feature of SNOW LEOPARD which is a newer OS and must be paid for. The initial version of Snow , 10.6 does not contain it, but once it is updated to 10.6.6 or higher it is included. ( The point release updates are free ).

    You cannot delete it.
    It is likely on another page, in a folder or you have restrictions set.
    Check all of these.
    If you do not solve, then reset the home screen layout.

    You cannot lock apps. You can restrict the deletion and installation of apps in restrictions. Settings>General>Restrictions - take at look at the options.
    If you have restrictions enabled, maybe that is why the app store icon is not appearing.
    Swipe from screen to screen to look for it as well.

    I want to permanently remove old deleted apps from the "purchased" list in the update section of the app store icon on my iPhone. There does not seem to be any logical reason to keep a record or history of them around since they would not have been deleted if I still wanted them. This is a waste of resources on the iPhone, iTunes and my efforts.

    You cannot.

    It is a history of ALL purchases.
    People would be complaining that they mistakenly deleted it and now could never get their app back.  The entire point is to have access to any and all past purchases.
    Maybe when the final product is released you will get your wish.
