IAfter updating my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.1.02, I now have no Bluetooth capability.
on another note, I also get error messages trying to SEND email.

There is no FaceTime app. To initiate FaceTime go the contact page of the person you want to FaceTime in your Contacts app and select FaceTime at the bottom of the screen.

If I hit each passcode number twice it will register but then tells me I have the wrong code. I also have boxes and rectangles that appear to highlight items which never used to come up. USB connection to iTunes. Back up your 3GS with your last 3GS back up. DON'T use an iPhone 4 back up or higher. It will cause exactly this.

Will the iphone 5 have better Bluetooth capability?

All current iPhones are very limited. Specifically my car will notify me of new SMS and read SMS out loud with most smart phones but not with any iPhone because of their limited Bluetooth file transfer capability. I've seen lots of posts complaining that phones from 2004 had better Bluetooth functionality. Are Apple going to do anything to address this? I'm guessing not.

You have to put iPhone into Recovery Mode and Restore. Open iTunes on your computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

Iphone 4S has same bluetooth issue as my iphone 4

My iphone 3GS and Jawbone Icon bluetooth headset got along fine and worked perfectly. A few days after getting the new iphone 4, I started having callers report difficulty hearing me (are you talking in a tunnel, I hear static, sounds muffled, I cant hear you etc). I did all the resets of both headset and iphone many times and had Apple tech support try also. I tried the Jawbone Icon and Era as well as Blueant hadsets, with similar results. Apple kindly replaced the iphone 4 several times with no improvement. When I got the iphone 4S I was hoping this issue would be resolved. I wear my bluetooth headset all day long and really miss the rock solid bluetooth funtionality of my old 3GS. I understand the iphone 4S uses Bluetooth 4 technology and I was hoping this issue would be resolved. Am I the Lone Ranger here? Anyone have similar problems? Any suggestions would be appreciated

Nope. you are not alone. I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 4S/ Plantronics 510. However, it used to work fine with my iPhone 4.

TV has no bluetooth capability

I have a D3X which I bought primarily for listening to music through my iphone, and very happy I am with that.
I would like to connect my TV with the speaker as well, but my TV does not have Bluetooth capabilities. Firstly, if I buy an optical audio cable with a 3.5mm jack at one end and connect the two, will it work? Assuming it will, if I then buy a second D3X will this work as well? What I'm asking is does the TV need to talk to both speakers (which it can't as I can only connect one via a cable) or does the second speaker talk wirelessly to the first? Can anyone foresee a problem with what I'm suggesting?

Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.

Hope someone can help. I was going to update to iOS but decided not to yesterday. When I went to update today when I go into settings the screen has frozen in terms and conditions page. The page is now unresponsive, how do I close page?

Found answer! Just pressed sleep and home button together and released when Apple logo appeared- should have thought of that!! All ok now

Have you tried resetting your iPhone?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.
