If you're having issues doing the update directly on the phone, try using iTunes on your computer to complete the update.
Ensure you've done a backup & imported any photos or videos from your camera roll first, just in case something goes wrong.

I received a notice to update Firefox, so I did. During installation, I received an error message stating "The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link and can no longer get into firefox at all. What do I do? I even uninstalled it, restarted my computer, and tried reinstalling it, and it still won't work. I'm also receiving a message that firefox.exe has encountered a problem. I am trying to update my iPhone 4 16gb to iOS 6.0.1. My iPhone is currently running iOS 4.3.3. I plug it in to my computer, iTunes recongizes it and tells me there is an update for it. so i proceed with it. I was able to download the OS but was unsiccessful in uploading it. It took me 2 hrs to download it. After it finished downloading it, it started syncing the phone and backing up all user information. This backup process is taking forever. At its current rate it seems like it is going to take 5 years to get this phone updated. I need help, anybody, somebody, please, thank you

I uninstall and install again last version of ITUNES and update my operating system. I have a PC with WINDOWS 7.Try a different USB port on the PC - do not use a hub. Disconnect any other USB devices that are not needed for the restore. This may provide more help.

This message usually indicates the iPhone has been hacked/jailbroken. If this is the case it can not be updated.

iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)

I received a notice to download a newer version of itunes. After starting the process of downloading I got an error message which then suggested I try to download itunes again. When I did this it showed the file was already in my system and stopped the download process. Now I can't open my itunes to play my music. What can I do to get it back?

Try this:
1. Plug phone into MAC / PC, start iTunes.
2. Restore your phone and this will make it like new.
3. Back up phone again.
4. Then try to update to iOS 5 again.

Helo, im failing to update iphone4 from iOS 5.1.1 to iOs 6.1.2. I have tried downloading the software via wifi and keep receiving an error message. I have backed up all music and photos and deleted uncessary apps so virtually the phone has remained with the original factory applications. But still refuses to update. Please help.

We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
