HT4623 My Iphone5's bluetooth will not connect with anything

the bluetooth on my iphone will not discover any devices nor will it allow it to pair with other devices. I purchased an Iphone 4S at the same time and it is presenting the same problems. I have restarted it and I have rebooted it to no avail.

The iPhone Bluetooth is designed to connect to speakers, headphones, car audio systems, keyboards. If you are attempting to connect to other devices, it will not work. See below for a complete list of supported protocols.

So, back out to the car & it would not pair, still. So ... can't be the phone , right. Back to VW. The Audi manager had an iphone 4S. He paired his phone with my car. He could not pair my phone to my car. He tries my phone in a new 2011 GTI sitting on the lot ... my phone pairs with it just fine. So ... it's my car. So ... make an appointment to get the bluetooth module replaced. They replace the Bluetooth module. My iphone will not pair. They end up pairing 2 different iphone 4S to my car ... but not my iphone 4S. My iphone 4S will also not pair with another 2010 GTI they have in for service. Though the 2 iphone 4S
pair with the second GTI just fine. They even try pairing my iphone with a brand new 2012 GTI in the showroom ... yep ... it paired fine. So ... ????????????????
They are going to update my nav software next (tomorrow), Hopeful ??? not really ... Will be taking my computer to Apple Store next ... maybe if they can discover why it will not pair to my MacBook Pro it will lead to a solution for the GTI ??? I'll get back to you.

IPhone 4s Bluetooth will not connect with my 2009 Mercedes S550

My 2009 Mercedes S550 will recognize my iPhone 4s via Bluetooth and then will connect but then I get a message on my phone that it is incompatible and then the car and phone don't recognize the other. Car says 'phone is off' when it is not. Any ideas on what to do? It has worked for 2 years with a 3GS iPhone and the other operating systems.

I took my phone to the dealership and they were able to get it to pair. They did all the pairing from the phone side. They activated the bluetooth receiver on the car and then went into the bluetooth settings on the phone to pair it. It works fine now. Regarding the ringtone...my wife had a similar problem and it was the ringtone she had selected on her phone that was causing the problem. You might try changing your ringtone to see if you still have the same problem.

I am using Firefox 4.0 beta. Last night I began having problems with the browser not connecting with anything, including the Mozilla server. I finally gave up and went to bed. This morning the same problem continued, so I used Internet Explorer 8 to connect to the internet (worked fine), and came to this site to report my problem. I have checked my router (brand new) and internet connections and they are all ok. I am using Windows 7 on a Dell Studio 17 laptop. I have recently downloaded Network Magic from Linksys, but have not installed it yet.

After reading the whole post, I still don't capture the exact error message or code from it when you failed to install Office 2013.
The only clue is that "bootstrap loader error" ...
It seems that you want to upgrade Office 2007 to new Office 2013, by default, we could complete the uninstall previous Office version and install the new Office in the installation wizard.
At this point, if you get the install source through CD or other media. I recommand that we copy/paste the installation to local drive. Then turn off all of anti-virus and firewall, begin to setup in
Windows clean boot mode.
Please use a setup log to troubleshoot setup problems in Office if the installation problem still occurs.

This is due to a change in Yahoo's security settings. You need to go into your Yahoo account settings and create a special App Password, then use that password in Contacts to access your account. Same goes for Calendar.

First thing to try is reset Printing System:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Next would be reset the router (power off 15 secs then back on). And, 2 minutes later, reset the printers 1 by 1.

Do the usual wireless things.
Change the wireless name to simple name with only alphanumerics and no spaces.
Set to manual and use channels 1, 6, 11 in turn.
For testing take off the security altogether.
The iphone only works on 2.4ghz so only that band is relevant.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I am having the same problem, my brothers samsung picks up every bluetooth device thats remotely close but the 4s just sits there searching while sitting on the same desk as my iPad2, iMac 24" and headset that worked fine on my old 3 g.
I am not hugely tek savvy, can anyone explain in easy speak (the kid at the local apple reseeler told me the new bluetooth used on the 4s is not compatible with the older bluetooth devices.... hmmmmmm)

IPhone 4 Bluetooth will not pair with Jawbone Icon, Jawbone 2

Just got my iPhone today and am more or less thrilled to have it. The only problem (other than the antenna issue, which the bumper fixes beautifully) is that Bluetooth will not pair with any of my Bluetooth devices. When I turn on Bluetooth on the phone and turn on the headset, iPhone says it's "searching.." and "now discoverable" but it never discovers anything, let alone pair up. The Bluetooth on my MacBook recognized the iPhone and I was able to pair them, but no luck on the Jawbones. Sounds like a JB problem, but I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and if there's a fix via the iPhone.

On the icon, turn it off and hold button down while sliding the power switch on. This should put it in pairing mode. Then go into your i4's bluetooth menu and give it another go. Also, Jawbone has recently updated the firmware for the Icon so you need to load it as well. I have the icon and a Jabra cruiser and both work/paired fine. You may want to try rebooting phone and retrying as well.

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
