Did yo restore the iPod and restore from a backup that was not the backup of your iPod?

My iPod touch has a strange weird sync/restore. My iPod touch started to act weird, apps started crashing, other issues started happening.
I restarted my iPod, several times. It didn't fix the issue.
So I restored. And that didn't work, it made the issue worse. (I synced before I restored =D.)
Some of the apps came back on the iPod, without their app data.
Some apps came back, but crashed every-time I opened them. Some apps didn't even come back!
Most of the issues were fixed. My global settings didn't "come" back either. Issues are coming back now, such as a delay when unlocking, a lit black screen when unlocking, apps hang, black squares appear where redraw regions are, pictures disappear sometimes. Bookmarks appear most of the time. Safari freezes almost all of the time. Total lockup.
I'm wondering if this is a hardware issue, or a corrupted backup issue. I have a second gen IPod touch running iOS 4.1 not jail broken. I'd like to fix it, and if I get a new iPod touch I'd like to have all of the data on my old one if possible. I'm using a Mac with lion installed to sync my iPod. The issues started happening before I upgraded to lion.I think the best thing you should do is send the broken iPod Touch back to the store and see what thety say. You can try to reinstall iTunes because sometimes those files may get corrupt, try to put it into DFU Mode ( Read Here http://forum.pocketables.net/showthread.php?t=566) for how-to's. and Restore it again, basically with DFU mode it disables your iPod and you can only activate again by restoring it. Most of the time Jailbreaking is the cause of the issue but i see that you did not jailbreak your device. Sending it back is definitly the best choice because either they fix it, or give you a new one. Good Luck fixing it! Reply if you need any help or explanations.

I have forgotten my password for iPod Touch 4G and it is now disabled. I tried connecting to iTunes but i haven't synced before and i need to enter the password before i can back it up so i can restore it. I don't want to lose pictures so please HELP!
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. That is how it works
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall for the network problem.

I have a ipod touch 5 and when i was loading to my computer i chose to restore my data from my last ipod which did not have a camera. Then after all my music was uploaded i noticed that all the pictures i had taken on my new ipod had been deleted. I think it may be because i chose to restore my last ipod which no photos on it. I was wondering if there is any way to restore my lost photos?

a while ago i backed up my ipod touch 4g and yesterday it was acting up so i restored it and it deleted ALL of my pictures so can anyone help me to get them back?
currently running iOS 4.3.5If you restored from backup all the photos in your camera roll that were in the backp should be restored to our iPod. However, photos that are synced to the iPod are not in the backup. You will have to resyc them to the iPod. If the synced photos are no longer on the computer then the photos are lost.

Only sync chosen songs. Even with that I had a bad song once that was corrupted and it blew the ipod touch's mind. Can't remember how I found the song, but deleted it off the computer and was able to get a fresh copy off this quite old CD. Also, settings-general-usage, you can see which files are gathering up in your memory. There are some surprisingly large programs.

I've forgotten my pass-code to my Ipod touch 4g and when I try to restore and update it on my itunes library the internet connection cuts out so this is not an option. Is there another way to fix this problem? Cheers
The only way is to connect the iPod to a computer with has an internet connection and iTunes and restore the iPod. Use as friiend's computer or make an appointment at ther Geniuds Bar of an Apple store.

Can you help me? I updated my ipod touch 3g to 5.1.1 and itunes to the latest version. I then could not hear the sound with newly downloaded music albums. I decided to restore, backup and sync which took 9 hours. The ipod Touch froze and I could not unlock the slide bar nor turn it off. The ipod is turned on and that is all. What can I do? try putting it into DFU mode...
hold down the home and power buttons for 10 seconds
let go of power button, the screen should go black in 5seconds
plug ipod in... do restore

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
