Hi.
I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine. -
Under settings my phone has my apple id logged in, when I go to update on the app store it asks for a friends apple id, how do i fix this?
The app must have been purchased using your friends account. This means that the app belongs to your friend.
You need to buy your own copy. -

When I go to update my software using the app store download, it always asks for the previous user's ID, not mine (my IT guy at school's-I am a faculty with admin priviledges). I have signed in as me, have set the main preferences login user as me,and everywhere on the laptop I can use my apple ID except here. It always shows me a greyed out ID of my IT. How can I reset this to my ID? It doesn't give me an option to change the user ID, only a link to reset password. I reset it, but it did not change the problem. Can someone help me?
It's not an ID problem, it's an ownership problem.
When someone uses their personal Apple ID to buy and download content, the content is licensed to them and has their Apple ID engrained in it's DNA. It is an anti-piracy program. And when that personal Apple ID is used to setup a new Mac, it involves the Mac itself, the shipping OS and any pre-installed apps as well.
It's not the correct way to handle Macs that belong to a business or an institution. And had it been handled correctly they would not now be in this predictument needing a drastic remedy. -
Just downloaded the new ios 7, and I can't seem to get any apps to download in the app store. It doesn't have the meter bar anymore and all it does is have a blue circle spin and spin for over 5 min. without nothing happening! Help!!!
Hi,
This is how App Store app shows now when an app is downloading. If you cannot download anything, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, remove your Apple ID, and set it again. That should work.

Hello, how are you? On September 13 I bought an iPad and in October bought a game on the app store problem is that when informed the card number dropped normally, but then went on to ask for a new form of payment because one had given any errors, and so not lowered any other game and not upgraded the already downloaded. I do not know what exactly I have to do, because if informed a new payment method continues with the same problem, checked the card bill and really had given an error, because there was no billed the game. I ask you to verify what happened and explain to me what I need to do, because my single card is Visa's and do not intend to return others to use the services of the App Store.

Hi, I got a virus that does not let me use Safari. I downloaded an av from the app.store but it did not detect anything. I am thinking in formatting the HD. How can I do it and will I lose?
1. Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.
Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.
2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and try Safari.
3. Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
Press “Remove all website data” button.
4. If adware is installed without your knowledge,
download free AdwareMedic by clicking “Download ” from here
http://www.adwaremedic.com
Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.
Once done scanning and removing the adware, quit the app by clicking AdMedic in the menubar
and selecting “Quit AdwareMedic”. -
I synced my work Iphone to my families Itunes account at home and now cannot connect to email, apps store, internet, etc. I can still call and text, but that's it. Please help.

You may want to check, if you have changed all Apple services to use your new AppleID, just in case.

Use my old email and I don't remember the password even though I set up a new apple ID accountContent acquired from iTunes is permanently tied to the Apple ID that it was acquired with.
If that is not your Apple ID, delete the content in question.
If it is your Apple ID, reset the password and stop using the new Apple ID. -
Can anyone explain how I can remove my old email address that is stored when I try and get new apps on iPhone or iPad , I recently changed my email address for Apple ID to a @gmail account from a @hotmail account.

Apple id : [email protected]If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I have an apple account and my internet is fine and I can open the app store but not download apps, I think the problem is in the settings.
What happens when you try to download an app ? If you aren't seeing the price/free button to be able to download them then do you currently have Settings > General > Restrictions > Apps (under the 'allowed content' heading) set to 'Don't allow apps' ?

Exporting to 720x486 results in 654x486
