My iphone is stuck with the iTunes logo, an arrow and powercord on the display. It will not power down or allow me to do anything. I updated to the most recent OS version this morning after my battery drained overnight (it was fully charged yesterday afternoon) and this was the result. I also have downloaded the latest version of iTunes on my laptop ...
My 2-year old iPhone 4s running iOS7 suddenly started doing the same thing (randomly going into Recovery Mode) almost every morning for the last week or so. It recovers OK (albeit back to factory presets), but I'd sure like to know what's going on. Any info?

The iTunes icon and cable means that it's gone into recovery mode - you will need to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes and you should be able to use that to reset the phone, and you can then restore/resync your content to it

I updated my itunes for my Ipad while connected to my computer. Now my ipad is frozen on an iTunes logo, an arrow, and a usb cord. Nothing seems to fix it. What can I do. All my business calander, etc is stored on my Ipad. HELP!
I don't fully understand what the System Reset does but I've found that it cures many ills. It's easy, quick and harmless:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default. -
Help Somebody! My phone is stuck because I tried to sync my computer music with my Iphone and now all my Iphone does is show a pic of the power cord with an arrow going up to the word Itunes with the blue circle and the Music symbol in it! I cant even use my phone! Ugh, so frustrated! I entered a gift card and downloaded 2 songs and now what was going to take 2 min and cost $2.00 has now cost me hours in time and frustration. Anyone know the techno how this works? I know its more simple than it is for me.... I just don't have the tech stuff down. Kids get this stuff better than me...

I tried to update my phone. The update didnt go all the way through, and ended up freezing the screen on my iphone with an itunes icon on it. I tried to reboot phone with no success...the icon stays on there with no other function of the phone available. Anybody know of a fix?
Put your iphone in dfu mode by doing this. Turn your iphone off. When its off, hold home and power button together for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button and keep holding home button for another 10 seconds. Then open up itunes on your pc and plug your iphone to your pc. Itunes should recognize your iphone in recovery mode and it will tell you to restore it. Click restore, and your iphone will restore. Remember that, if you do this you will lose everything that was on your iphone. You can restore from backup later on. Hope I helped. My phone will NOT turn back on after trying to restore it with itunes. It just has the blue music app with an arrow & the usb side of the power cord on it.

It sounds like you are constantly needing to restore your phone because it keeps going into recovery mode. Usually putting a device into recovery mode and restoring it can help isolate an issue to your iPhone hardware if an issue persists afterwards. I would try manually putting it into recovery mode and restoring it 1 more time:

Odd problem using mini display cord and power cord at the same time
When i connect my mbp to a monitor/tv while running on ac the macbook freezes totally. As soon as i plug in the power cord while running an external monitor the cpu usage goes crazy. Kernal task reporting 100.1 % cpu usage and also high cpu usage (powered, syslogd and configd). The only way to unfreeze the macbook is to unplug the power cord. When i do this the laptop runs perfectly fine again while connected to my monitor.
The odd thing is that it was running totally fine a few hours ago. but after waking up my mac its showing this issue.
Would love to get feedback.
ThanksI use a KVM switch with a Dell monitor that has DVI and VGA inputs. I only route the K an M portions (keyboard and mouse) through the switch. The computers connect directly via VGA and DVI to the Monitor, and then I use the monitor's switch to make the video switch. Works fine. Don't worry about taxing the monitor.
I'd suggest buying the KVM switch from a vendor with easy return policies, since it can take a few tries to find a model you like. -

i was trying to download my ipad pics (2400) onto my pc via itunes and now my ipad is frozen with itunes icon and a cordYOUR IPAD IS IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY. -
My phone is plugged in and the screen shows the power cord connector and arrow and the iTunes logo. I have made sure the plug is in and power on. Touching the screen does nothing. I have turned it off and back on I get an apple pic then back to the iTunes logo pic, arrow and plug....
I installed new update and have had the connect to iTunes all day. I got home connected to iTunes and it said my phone couldn't be updated it needed restored to factory settings. I was reluctant to lose everything so I ignored this and clicked update. After it installed it said to restore again. Again I ignored it and this time it updated my phone and my phone turned back on with everything there.
So glad I ignored the previous messages asking me to restore! You could try this if you have iTunes and don't want it restored to factory settings. -
My iPhone 5s (16GB) is stuck with 3948 photos (shown on the iTunes storage bar) on and I can not find a way to delete them all! It's very annoying as it takes up 6.54 GB of space and leaves me no room to add films, music...etc on to it. Please help me!!! I have already tried the numerous articles Apple have sent my way and I am still having no luck.I'd be eternally grateful if anyone could find a solution for me as this has been a problem for almost a year. If they were put there via iTunes sync process, then simply untick the Music box before syncing again.

I downloaded latest software on iphone 4 and installed new software on my imac (snow leopard 8.6)and now phone not synching with new itunes. Itunes does recognize the phone but the itunes is totally different now. It doesn't look anything like the previous vesions. I can't even find a tab for synching. very strange. any help is appriciated.

I had my iphone 4 locked to vodafone uk carrier. I connected the phone to itunes on my pc and tried to update the version to ios 6 through itunes. But it has been locked and asks for sim of previous carrier. how can i return to previous state?
You cannot return to previous state. The update re-locked the iPhone
to the original carrier. You must contact the original carrier to see if
they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that if your iPhone had previously been hacked/modified/
jailbroken to work with other than original carrier, it may be impossible
for the original carrier to unlock it properly. -
My iPod is stuck on the USB connector towards the iTunes snd on cd, and I updated it and now it's saying my iPod has apasscode when it's still stuck on that USB screen... What do I do????
you can do is go to ijailbreak.com then select downloads section.......scroll down and see the latest version of ipod touch second generation is available for download.....when it gets downloaded connect your iPod to itunes or keep it connected then hold option and click restore (mac) search the software by writing in search "iPod" a thing with white cube will show up if it is the file you just downloaded click it and wait for itunes to do its work......you can ask more if you are on windows
