HT4623 On my ipad lastest model w/ios6, should I update to ios7.0,2?

On my ipad lastest model w/ios6.1.3 should I update to ios7.0,2?

It's your choice, it has new features but it also looks different to previous versions - but if you do update and decide that you don't like it then you can't go back to iOS 6 (downgrading the iOS version isn't supported by Apple).
Have you look at the iOS 7 pages (and/or search for reviews) and see if you need the new features and/or want the new look :

  • My ipad requested a pass code when I updated to IOS7

My ipad requested a pass code when I updated to IOS7.  I never had a pass code on my ipad.  What do I do?

Use your Apple ID passcode. You can remove it in settings if you don't want to do it every time you unlock your iPad.

  • How do I move photos from phone to iPad, my phone has no room to update to ios7 ?

how can I move all my photos to my ipad??   my ipad has some of the photos but not all of them.   I need to free up room on my iphone 4S to update to ios7.
I have a new 5S ordered but need to keep all my phots on the ipad

I would connect to the computer and import photos there. The only way that I know of getting photos to the iPad is photostream, and that would only work for photos taken after photostream is activated. You can import to the computer, then delete the photos and then sync them back afterwards.

  • HT4623 My original iPad is running OS version 5 and update tells me it's up to date, but I want to install an app that requires OS 6 or higher.  what can I do?

My original ipad is running iOS 5 but I need 6 or7 to run an app I want to install.  Software update is telling me that it is up to date and does not offer 6 or 7

Click here and follow the instructions. If you can't get a compatible application version, you need a newer device.

Hye im using iphone ios 4.3 how can i upgrade it to ios 7 by internet in my device.thankio

Yes, the iPhone 4 can be upgraded to iOS 7
If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

  • Can I get ios6 back, after update to ios7?

It's to hard to see My calender and the Keyes on the Keyboard, My background photo's docent fit, my headset do not work in TomTom, only when I have a call, but then, I can't stop the app, to stop guidens to interfeair. I believe "Steve" would not let ios7 pass like this!

The colors look like tacky, out of date, 1970's pastel tennis clothes. The keyboard is very hard to see, and the borderless everything is the poorest man/gadget interface I've ever seen. This has go to be somebody's idea of a joke.
Tell me there's a way to fix this ****.

  • I have an Ipad 2 Model MC775LL, IOS 6.0.1 (10A523) and I am trying to update to IOS 6.1, but the download is taking too many hours. Is it normal?

I have an Ipad 2 Model MC775LL, IOS 6.0.1 (10A523) and I am trying to update to IOS 6.1, but the download is taking too many hours. Is it normal?

You have to connect the iPad to your computer to update.
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

  • IPad tether slow after ios6

    Hi All,
I have an iPhone 4 and a New iPad Wifi model.
Before the upgrade to IOS6 (running IOS5) my iPad used to tether to my iPhone instantly and i never once had a problem.
After the IOS6 upgrade on both devices, i turn my personal hot spot on on my iphone, turn wifi on on my iPad and it takes a good few minutes to make the connection, sometimes i can browse the internet / use apps that require a connection and other times i cant.
I havent managed to find any obvious pattern for this behaviour except that if i turn off both devices and then repeat the above steps the iPad tethers as quickly as it used to pre IOS6.
Has anyone found a solution to this other than restarting the devices?

    Apple - Fix this!!!!!!
Apple, THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO LOOK on iOS 6 regarding "WIFI Lockout"!!!!!!
When this happens (WIFI freezes up aka "WIFI Lockout") – you can not get on internet while using WIFI!!!!!
You could be in the middle of surfing or using any app that makes data calls based on DNS and suddenly you can go no where or do nothing!
Yea sure, you can restart the WIFI connection, but WHO wants to CONTINUALLY do that?????
Apple (or any curious iOS 6 user that wants to see my point), when this happens open up a browser before you reset, disconnect/reconnect WIFI ( I tried both safari and chrome ) and type type 74.125.227.144 (google) and then “go”. A google search page will come up and you will be able to execute a search. (of course any link you click on will not work as it is dependant on DNS resolution)
Non DNS traffic works so the issue is not the WIFI connection to the access point!
APPLE, FOCUS ON FIXING THIS DNS DATA ISSUE AND YOU WILL GET MANY PEOPLE OFF YOU BACK!!!!
I KNOW THIS IS NOT ALL OF THE PROBLEMS WITH iOS 6, BUT THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM NOT BEING ABLE TO SURF OR GET DATA THE iOS 6 DEVICE IS REQUESTING!!!!!

  • Why has my ipad lost connectivity to the AT&T cellular data network after upgrading to iOS 8.1.2?  My iPad is model #MD367LL/A, 32 GB WIFI + Cellular, about 2-1/2 years old.

Why has my ipad lost connectivity to the AT&T cellular data network after upgrading to iOS 8.1.2?  My iPad is model #MD367LL/A, 32 GB WIFI + Cellular, about 2-1/2 years old. It;s been working perfectly up until now.  I have no problem on my home WIFI, or through personal hotspot working through my iPhone 5.
I have worked with AT&T, replaced the SIM card with a new one, and done a backup/restore to factory settings, all with the same result that when I turn Cellular
Data on, with or without Enable LTE, it goes into "searching" mode, or reports "no service".  My iPhone 5 works perfectly on iOS 8.1.2, on Cellular.  I've browsed the blogs and have tried Apple's suggested fix, all to no result.
Oddly enough, every once in a while I do get connected to the network for a short ime (minutes), but it always returns to "searching".
I've filed a report with Apple, along with a request that they contact me, but no results yet.
    Help? (and thank you).

Hello razmee209.  Thank you for your response.  I spent the better part of yesterday working with Apple Support.  They tried their best, to include backing up photos to my HP laptop, backing up the iPad to iCloud, then resetting the iPad in total.  Same problem.  I restored from the cloud to recover my apps, same problem.
AT&T installed a new sim card - same problem.  I spent time with AT&T Support yesterday, too.  In both cases, (Apple and AT&T) the support techs who worked with me were extremely polite, courteous and helpful to the best of their abilities, but I think the problem lies deeper, and nobody at Apple is admitting they have a problem with iOS 8, that I'm aware of.
I didn't have this issue before I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2.
Everything else with the iPad works fine:  WIFI, Personal Hotspot, email, all my apps, etc.
In browsing the web for this issue I see that many other folks have the same problem.  I filed a report with Apple this morning, requesting that they contact me, but no word yet.  I was going to go to iPhone 6, and had been considering the iPad Air 2, but I see reports of this problem with those units as well.
At this point I don't think I'll be spending any more money with Apple, at least not till this issue is resolved.
Thanks again for your response and suggestions.

I have an iPad 3 model A1416 16GB.  It is about 1 1/2 years old.  When I opened it today the screen for my password came up and then before I could enter it the screen went blank. I can not get it to do anything now. It had about 24% of charge left. I plugged it into the charger and still nothing. What do I do?  How do I get it to work?

    Try the following:
    1. Reset
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo
    2. Restore:
