HT4623 Option to update to iOS 7.0 not available

I am trying to update my iphone 3GS to the iOS 7.0. It currently is on the iOS 6.1.6. It keeps saying my software is up-to-date and that no updates are available. I tried to do this via iTunes and wirelessle. Is the phone too old to support the iOS 7.0?

iPhone 3gs does not support iOS 7. The latest iOS you can upgrade to on your iphone 3gs is 6.1.6 . Apple will not release the ios7 for the iphone 3gs. Sorry

I Had the same challenge and all I did was switch off my iPad. Remove the SIM card from the tray. Switch the iPad back on again, reinsert the SIM card and bingo! The hotspot showed up again.

You can't if your iPhone was hacked/jailbroken to unlock.

IOS 4.3 not available

The iOS 4.3 Software Update page says “Updating is easy. Just connect your device to your Mac or PC and follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes.” When I do this, on 10.6.6 running iTunes 10.2.1 (installed and reïnstalled multiple times), I am told when I connect my fourth generation iPod Touch that “This version of the iPod software (4.2.1) is the current version.” There is no option to update to iOS 4.3. I have tried to download the .ipsw file directly (iPod4,14.3_8F190Restore.ipsw) and option-clicked on the “Check for updates button”, but when I do, I am told that “The iPod ‘Victor Maurice Faubert’s iPod’ could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible.” How do I proceed so that I can get iOS 4.3 installed on the device? The iPod runs fine under 4.2.1, but I would like to upgrade to 4.3 to take advantage of its new features. Thank you.

Are you sure you which generation this is?
If you have an 8GB model then it could be an older 2nd generation model and you cannot upgrade to 4.3....
Did you buy it new or used?
If you bought it new and it is the 4th generation, then it sounds like something is wrong with it and you need to return it.
Look on the back of your iPod Touch for one of these numbers.
These come directly from Apple.
iPod Touch 1st generation - A1213
iPod Touch 2nd generation - A1288
iPod Touch 3rd generation - A1318
iPod Touch 4th generation - A1367
I am guessing that the number on the back of your iPod Touch is A1288 which would be a 2nd generation model and that is why it is telling you that you have the current 4.2.1 iOS version.

You cannot.
Unless you have done as you should and have the old facebook app on your computer.

Sorry but no. iOS 4.2.1 was the last version of iOS an iPhone 3G would run. If you have iOS 4.3.3 on your phone, then unless your iPhone was hacked, you actually have an iPhone 3GS which can upgrade to iOS 6. You can confirm your model here:

Oops, sorry this is not possible!
Yes, it is very silly but the iPad 1 does not have enough ram to cope with ios 6 or 7. Every other iPad can go upto ios 7 except iPad 1, which stays as ios 5.1.1
I recommend upgrading ur iPad, if u can't afford it maybe then u can always sell your iPad and use that money to buy a new one!!

It seems to have ranged from about 4.6 to (in my case on a 5S) 5.6 gigs. As with any software download, the amount of space required to download and install the update directly on the phone is much larger than the amount the software actually takes up.

Whikle updating to iOS 6 yesterday, phone blocks completly , shows Apple logo and every 10 secs a little tone comes. Have done reset and backup with iCloud and does not work.

That Error Code is indicative of the Device being jailbroken / Hacked...
