HT4623 Printing from iPad 2 using iOS 6 to Wi-Fi printer

Need help printing from iPad 2 using iOS 6.0.1 to HP printer.

It does appear in the List of Air Print compatible printers. Assuming the Printer is connected to the same Wifi network as the iPad, then simply choosing the Print option within any App should bring it up.
You may need to refer to the Printers Manual to get it connected to the Wifi Network.
There's no real confuigration to be done on the iPad.
You can print from the Apple applications iBooks, Mail, Photos, and Safari. Apps available from the App Store may also offer this feature.
To print, follow these steps:
Tap the action icon .
Tap the Print button.
Configure the printer options and then tap Print.
Note: If you are printing for the first time, or if the previously selected printer is not available, you will need to select the printer before step 3.

    Printopia is another option but be aware that since these solutions effectively act as a print server and AirPrint receiver, they require a computer to be running on the same WiFi network.
    Canon also has a couple of apps in the App Store that might facilitate this on non-AirPrint printers. Check out...

  • Printing From iPad with iOS 4.2

    Question about the following HP Q&A answer:
    AirPrint will enable iPad, iPhone and iPod touch customers using iOS 4.2 to print wirelessly from select apps - no set up or downloads required. Customers will be able to automatically find a printer on their wireless network and print to it with one touch. HP's existing and upcoming ePrint enabled printers will be the first to support AirPrint from iOS 4.2 devices, making it easy for customers to print anytime, anywhere.
    Does 'on their wireless network' mean the printer must be networked via a computer?  Or can the printer be stand-alone?
    Thanks.

    The printer will do this stand-alone. It does not need a PC to interact.
    Is this still confirmed to be the case?
    I have spent the entire evening tonight trying to setup my friend's iPad to work with the C310a.  The printer seems to want to be connected to an existing network and everything I'm reading from other people seems to indicate the same thing.  (However, since Apple took out shared printing I would think that reinforce the fact it doesn't need to be on a network, but…)
    The iPad cannot find the printer at all.  It doesn't seem like there is much help anywhere on this topic.

  • Print from ipad using app

    I attempt to use app to print from ipad through an hp app but doesn't work. Says can't find printer. Hpdeskjet4580

    Hi Grandmasuzi,
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that you are unable to print to your Deskjet F4580 printer from your iPad using the HP ePrint mobile app.
    I’m presuming that the printer is already connected to your wireless network. If it isn’t, please follow the steps in the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document for your computer’s operating system. If you already have the computer setup with a USB cable connection, each operating system contains the steps to switch from a USB cable connection to a wireless connection.
    I’ve included the How to Use Apple's AirPrint Over a Wireless Network document.  Please follow the instructions in Step One listed in the section titled “What if a 'No AirPrint Printers Found' message displays on my Apple device?”.  I know this isn’t the error you have but these are the steps I recommend to connect the iPad to your printer.  If those steps don’t help, please follow the instructions for Step Two in the same section.

  • I can't print from iPad 2 to my AirPrint enabled printer

    Hi, I'd be grateful for some help on printing from Ipad 2. I have a compatible printer (HP - B210A) and my iPhone 4 picks it up and prints perfectly, as does my PC. However, I cannot get my iPad 2 to find the printer. As far as I can see the process for printing from iPhone 4 and iPad 2 are identical but only one works. Does anybody have any suggestions please?

    Np2-
    Your iPad 2 might be defective.  An Apple Store Genius should be able to check it for you, and will replace it on the spot if it doesn't work right.
    You might try resetting the network settings on the iPad.  See Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings.
    Although far-fetched, is it possible your iPad is connected to a different WiFi base station than you think?  I've had that happen, and had to go to Settings - WiFi - (Click on the WiFi Network's blue arrow) - Forget This Network, and then select the correct network. This could easily happen if you and your neighbor both have the same WiFi name!

  • How to print from iPad using my airport extreme

    I have a New iPad and an iPhone 4 all connected to my Airport Extreme.  My tower computer is a pc as is all of my laptops at this time. I have downloaded Bonjour Print Services to my pc laptops and they print wirelessly through the Airport Extreme using Bonjour Print Services. How do I print from my iPad since I am connected using the Airport Extreme and the printer is a HP7310 which is not an air printer. Please help!

    Suggest that you try an App like Print Central to see if that will allow the iPad to print to your printer.

  • Bluetooth printing from iPad to Macbook Pro connected to printer?

    Is it possible to print wirelessly from my iPad if i connect my iPad to my Macbook Pro via Bluetooth? What if the Macbook is connected to the printer with a  USB cable? Because the printer I am getting may not be discoverable via AirPrint because of my WiFi network, I'm wondering if I work around this issue.

    iPad (3rd Gen.), iOS 7.1.1
    OS 10.9.3 - Mavericks, most recent NON-retina-display Macbook Pro, 13-inch, Mid 2012

    Thanks for the great (& fast) response! Just one question: with the Genie app, will I have to find my computer with my iPad on the network? At looks like I will have to do that, and I am not certain that my network will allow me to even connect my computer to my iPad via WiFi. (I live on a university campus, and I am reaching to IT to see if there is just something wrong.) the printer I am getting is AirPrint-compatible. I am just unable to use any device to locate any other device when I am on the same university-based network anywhere on campus.

  • Printing from iPad 2 to Canon MG6120 Pixma Printer

    Hi There Apple Community,
    I'm trying to help out my Mother-In-Law (who I like) and I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for her to print from her iPad 2 to her Wi-Fi-enabled printer. It's like this:
    I'm trying to print from an iPad 2 to a Canon MG6120 Pixma Printer. Now, I know that the printer is not AirPrint compatible at this time and I've downloaded EuroSmartz Print n Share (v4.5.2), but I'm just not satisfied. It works to a degree, but you have to print from within the app for it to work and the quality is much lower than if she were to simply use the desktop PC (a newish HP running Windows 7 Home Premium). The app is also hinky when trying to use its native browser to log into secure sites, which is the primarly use that she is going to use it for -- buying tickets and other stuff and wanting to print up hard copies.
    So, I am asking a few different questions:
    1. Does anyone know of any hacks to the aforementioned Canon printer to make it work with the iPad?
    2. Does anyone know of another app that works with PCs that allows for easier printing?
    3. Does anyone know of any hacks to the iPad 2 that allows it to print to non-AirPrint-enabled printers?
    Many, many thanks to any and all who answer!

  • Problems printing from safari using an HP photosmart 7960 printer

    for some reason my printer will now only print from word or other applications but when i try and print a web page from safari my safari crashes. help anyone!

    Dh11unit-
    If there is a print job stuck in the print queue, double-click the iPad's Home button.  A row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen.  Scroll across and look for the Print Center icon.  If you find it, you should be able to delete the bad print job.
    If the Print Center is not there, your print job probably did not proceed far enough.  It is possible your WiFi router does not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint.  If that is the case, you would need to contact your router's manufacturer to see if there is a change to its setup or a firmware update that will fix the problem.
    I suggest you download the free HP App, ePrint Home & Biz.  It has limitations, but should get you printing.

  • How can I print from Firefox using my Epson Workforce 610 printer?

    I call technical support at Epson regarding my Workforce 610 printer because I'd tried to print out an e-mail using my Mozilla FireFox web browser. During the conversation with Epson technical support I learned that my printer does in fact work and wasn't have any connection issues that prevented me from printing. I tried to print 4 times 2 times out of notepad and then Word, then I tried to print my e-mail 2 times using the Mozilla FireFox web browser and neither time was I able to print using Mozilla FireFox's web browser. The technical support rep then suggested I speak to technical support for Mozilla FireFox because she thought there might be a connectivity issue between Mozilla FireFox's web browser and my Epson printer that keeps it from print documents from the web browser.

    In Firefox -
    File > Print or {Ctrl + P} = is that Epson printer selected in the Printer - Name dialog?

    You will have to use a universal printing app, such as Print Central or Print n Share.  Look in the app store for printing options.

  • Won't print from iPad - message: printer out of paper

    I just bought an HP Envy 7645. I set up printing on my home network through my MacBook Air (Yosemite) computer and it prints fine from the computer. But everytime I try to print from my iPad, I have failed. Air print finds the printer on the network, and sometimes it has stated it was connected and sending the document to the printer, but nothing reaches the printer and nothing gets printed. But now when the print dialog appears it states that the printer is ut of paper - but there is paper loaded in the printer and I immediately am able to print from my computer. Now when I open the printer preferences on my computer,  it says the tray is out of paper, but then I can print from the computer without problem.How can I solve this? Now on the MacBook in the dialog box it claims it is out of paper, but then prints a document.I have not been able to photocopy.THanks for any help. I have spent a couple of hours setting up this printer and trying to make it work.

    Hi Alameda, From what i understand is you are getting out of paper error message when printing from iPad using the AirPrint.Can you help me with the application from which you are trying to print. Is it a Photo or a document that you are trying to print. First lets do a sequential boot, Turn off your iPad, Router and Printer... wait for 30 sec and Turn it back on first Router, Printer and iPad.Open the input tray on the printer, make sure you have paper loaded correctly and the guides are adjusted appropriately.When closed you would get the change paper type message, make sure correct media is selected on both regular and photo tray.(If you just have media on regular tray, try to load something on phototray for testing)Try to Print and see if it works. If fails can you try downloading the HP ePrint from the AppStore and try printing with the same. Thanks...

  • Barcode Printing from EP --using barcode4J (Gurus kindly help me)

    Dear Experts,
    Barcode Printing from EP --using barcode4J
    we want to print employee number as barcode in EP(version 6.4 SP 19).
    we tested the barcode creation a standalone class, it works fine
    Sample Code as follows
    ================================
    Code128Bean bean = new Code128Bean();
                 final int dpi = 150;
                 //Configure the barcode generator
                 bean.setModuleWidth(UnitConv.in2mm(1.0f / dpi)); //makes the narrow bar
                                                                               //width exactly one pixel
                 bean.setWideFactor(3);
                 bean.doQuietZone(false);
                 //Open output file
                 File outputFile = new File("out.jpg");
                 OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(outputFile);
                 try {
                      //Set up the canvas provider for monochrome JPEG output
                      BitmapCanvasProvider canvas = new BitmapCanvasProvider(
                                out, "image/jpeg", dpi, BufferedImage.TYPE_BYTE_INDEXED, false);
                   //BarcodeServlet.
                      //Generate the barcode
                      bean.generateBarcode(canvas, "Z454544");
                      //Signal end of generation
                      canvas.finish();
                 } finally {
                      out.close();
    <b>But the same code i put in wdDoModifyView() or wdDoInit() it throws class not found exception</b>. I have checked that barcode4j.jar and all relevant files are in classpath.
    Any help will be rewarded.
    Thanks
