black screen other than when i turn it off i can see an apple what can be wrong( yes it is fully charged)! people say to reset it thru itunes but how can i if i cant see whats on my screen

Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. The Apple technician will examine your phone and provide you with options for replacement.

Iphone 4s. Phone dies with black screen intermittently. In spite of reboot attempts it wont come back for 10-15 minutes later with reboot. About three times in the last two weeks since IOS6 upgrade. One time the phone felt pretty warm.

You're in luck! Your phone is still covered by the one year Apple warrenty. I would visit your local Apple retail store, or contact Apple over the phone. They should be able to help you out best!

Hi there did you end up getting this resolved? I have the same exact same issue with my Ipad 4 when updating to 8.1.3....frozen on the apple logo. Tried resetting as advised by other users but just goes back to the same logo. Tried connecting to iTunes but device is not picked up at all. Left it over night to run flat hoping charging might kick start something....but when I put on the charger it shows the battery charge icon but won't actually charge it. is this the original iPhone 5, or 5s? If it's the 5s do you have Apple Care still? If so calling Apple iPhone support is where to start, hopefully they can help, if not, setting up an appointment at the Genius Bar at an apple retail store is a good option too, Call the store first though and ask what your options are in terms of warranty and service. If you are having problems with the regular iPhone 5, still call Apple Care or an Apple store and see what they can do.

If you see a solid color screen (black, white or blue)

If your device gets stuck during startup
When starting up, you might see the Apple logo or a red or blue screen for a long time, or your device might restart again. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

Specifically the section on:
Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.

try a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release then wait for the phone to boot back up.

You should really read the manual.
"How do you restore from backup? "
Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.
"And how can I check to see if the pics and videos are on my computer somewhere first??"
They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

Macbook pro-Freezes with black screen at start up.

Macbook pro-Freezes with black screen at start up. I've tried inserting the Mac OS X install disc to run the hardware test(Restart and hold down D), But it still does nothing. Just the black screen. Now I can't get the disc out. I've tried holding down the track pad key upon start up but that doesn't work neither.
What do I do??? Please help.

Remove the battery to find your serial number in the battery bay. Then you can look your MBP up on EveryMac.com:

That will give you all the information on your Mac.
This is assuming that you have the MBP with the removable battery and not the unibody. The unibody has different graphic chips.

Ipod touch 4G stuck on swirling motion with black screen

So I jailbroke my ipod with absinthe a few days ago and everything has been working fine but today i used an app i downloaded from cydia (cant remember the name) and it started to respring and went on for a long time so restared my ipod and everything but it still came back to the same screen of a swirling motion with black screen after passing the apple logo. I tried restoring the ipod on itunes but an error keeps occuring and it wont allow me to restore. Itunes wont read my ipod either. My ipod will not allow me to do anything. What should I do?

Go elsewhere. Jailbreaking voids the Apple warranty. It also means that you will not get any help from Apple, including from this Apple forum.
