I am trying to sync my phone with my computer. I synced it this morning, but none of my music transferred from the itunes on my computer to the itunes on my phone. I have the latest version of itunes and ios5 on my phone. So I plugged my phone into my computer tonight and iphoto automatically opens and i can see the device in the left handed column, but when i open itunes, my device does not show up on my itunes. Thanks for that 'sberman' - because my iPhone is backed-up to my work computer (only at this stage) I have had to call our IT Department in Adleaide. (4 times this morning). The last guy managed to get the phone into 'DFU Mode' - no more recovery mode screen - (kind of 'asleep' perhaps) from my understanding of same. I am awaiting a call again from IT so they can get my computer to actually recognise my iPhone on the C Drive. This also happened to one of my colleagues in Newman (WA). She got so frustrated with the whole process that she bought another phone the next time she was in 'civilisation.' She hasn't had any problems since. (Cross fingers).

If you have an iBook G4, (PPC) you can't do much.
But if that is a MacBook (intel) you may be able to
upgrade the OS X, if the hardware is up to it...
Since there were about nine different build models
of MacBook (not powerpc iBook) to identify what
one you have would be the first step to knowing
what OS X and RAM upgrades it could use.
If the computer is not already at OS X 10.6.8,
it can't go online to get or use OS X 10.7.5. So,
when you more accurately describe the 'Book,
detailed information is available.
When you find the serial number, there is a web
page that can be used to identify by serial no.

That'd be a first step. Or even the Model number
which should be visible on the outer case by hinge.

By calling iPod tech support while you are under warranty. You also have 14 days to return it w/no questions asked for a replacement or your $$$ back.

I have a itouch and it ended up getting locked. I ave tried to connect to iTunes and it does not recognize it. Tried the 2 help options and they did not work either (turn off and hold power button, connect to itunes).

Do as the manual says to do and restore the ipod. If you are unable, then type "unable to restore" into the search bar at the top of this page by Support and read the resulting help articles.

Latest version of FireFox loads non-requested pages, and now will not load?

Over the last few days, Firefox has been acting a bit strangely. Like loading pages that I didn't ask for. And quite ordinary rather than dangerous sites.
And then tonight, I closed Firefox, and when I tried to load it a few minutes later, it won't load - at all?
And it's been refusing to load on and off for a while. I think in the last two or three weeks, I have re-installed it about 5 times.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Or know how to fix it?

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.<br />
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

HT4623 After I press general, I see everything but Software update. Download and install does not even appear, it's not grayed out. There is no Software update button. Why is that?

I have an iPod touch 4G. I have been trying to skype with my friends with skype 5.0 and I was the only one that could not download it. Then I researched why and it says I need iOS 5.0. I then went back to research how to download it and on here it says that it should be in setting under general and then you will see software update. That if I don't have any room I will see download and install grayed out. But not even software update is there. There's no button. It basically does not exist on my iPod 4. Why is this?

That is only a feature of iOS 5 or later...

Is this phone purchased from an original owner? If so, they didn't wipe the phone for you prior to selling to you.

My I phone is new and i am trying to connect it to my i tunes on my computer. It does not come up on the i tunes at all.

Have you connect it via USB or via Wifi?
If you have connect it via Wifi try it with the Dock connecter!
Or try to close itunes and connect the iphone again normaly itunes will open:

Naah. Each one should snap right in and it doesn't matter what account is identified. At least that's the way that they work with a Mac. I do not understand Windoze machines.
