Ipad also indicates connected to ITunes even when not. Tried to power off and power on again but same message. Also, restarted PC after download of latest ITunes version. When I make the USB connection I get an audible but no message about device connected. No access to Ipad in "Devices" either.
It is seen when I connect cable from ipad to dekstop then I see the message as "Ipad is in recovery mode." How can be solved this problems ?

Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves the timeout error.

Hi All,
I had this problem today myself, and was frustrated repeatedly by the '4002' error.
I have literally just fixed the issue by doing the following steps:
1: Go to the 'Store' tab and select 'Turn Off iTunes Match'
2: Return to the 'Store' tab and select 'Update Genius'
3: Wait for this to complete succesfully, the return to the 'Store' tab once more and select 'Turn On iTunes Match'.
4: iTunes Match will now go through the motions and should succeed!

I have now fixed the issue, first I made sure that I had the proper permissions for iTunes and it's library folders. Then I completely removed ClamXav and all its related files and restarted iTunes. Now I no longer get this error when adding new media to iTunes or updating apps, and the library file saves fine. For some reason I think it was related to the antivirus software.
I think it was a coincidence as ClamXav only modifies permissions on the files it installs and none of those are anywhere near your iTunes folders, but I'm glad you got it working. -
I am trying to save a large file on Illustrator CS6 and it does not save and instead says "Unknown Error Occurred." What do I do?
The file has 4 artboards with webpage designs. I tried to take two of the artboards, create a separate doc with those two, and save, but the result was the same.
However, I am able to save simpler, smaller files.
I need to not lose these files and I am afraid to quit and restart and lose my unfinished work.
Any advice?What happens if you choose this option?

There is no supported method to downgrade iOS.
Put the device in DFU mode and restore. Be aware, ALL iPhones require a valid SIM for activation. The SIM does not need to be for an active account, but it must be a SIM from the carrier the device is locked to. -

Error -50 is a very unhelpful generic communications error with a number of possible causes. Something between the drive to which you are downloading and the drive from which it is all coming is not working correctly, which probably leaves several hundred options.

That is a baseband error. Has your phone ever been illegitimately unlocked? If so, that problem happens. If you haven't jailbroken/unlocked, visit your local Genius Bar.

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)
Go to Settings > Store > Apple ID> Sign out then sign in again.

I still get the message (can not connect to iTunes Store) at some updates. But then I can click ok and it updates anyway. Hopefully this can help others with the same problem as well! -
While importing a CD into my iTunes library I kept getting the following error message- iTunes cannot be saved- An unknown error occurred (-54). what does this error mean and what can I do about it??
The CD I imported (in the above post) is now not in my iTunes library. Any help would be appreciated .

There is a problem i keep on getting this error
"An unknown error occured while resoting back up" I am using latest itunes 11.1
I have backup file from my previous phone 3GS (PC-1)
Now I am restoring the same file to my new iphone 5 (PC-2)
I copied the backup file to the right location and itunes had picked up the file on at last moment it gave error (mentioned above)
Any solution will be really appreciated, thanksor... put your photos in "My Pictures" in My Documents, and viola, itunes syncs it to the iphone. only one sentence needed =/
maybe im missing your point here, the long paragraph is mindboggling -
...how do I resolve this issue? It's irritating for several reasons:
1) My new songs do not appear in match on my other devices because of this error
2) My itunes turns itself on automatically when it knows it needs to match; then the icon starts jumping up and down when the error occurs, distracting me from whatever I'm doing about ever 15 minutes at times.

An unknown error (-45054) has occurred on my itunes application with has shut my out of it completely, ive tried everything i could thing of but it still comes up with this unknown error and i dont know how to fix it

This worked for me --
Right click on the itunes.exe file in C:/program files/iTunes/, Go to properties and then to the security tab. From the security tab select 'Users' under the users and groups section and below that, gave users 'full access'
