You've mentioned that you already tried installing the drivers from the HP website. If the Windows 10 driver that you have downloaded does not work, I'd recommend trying the Windows 8.1 driver (the operating systems have the same core functionality, so the Windows 8.1 driver works fine on Windows 10). You can also try uninstalling the software you do have, and re-installing using the HP Printer Install Wizard. The Printer Install Wizard, can fix many software issues automatically. Looks like Apple did the same thing with Lion that Microsoft did with Vista. Brought it on the market before it was ready.
I run a MacBook Pro and upgrading to Lion caused me two days of trouble and computer crash. Router settings removed and router blocked. Dongle not recognised, you name it.
In the end, I gave up and using my Snow Leopard installation disk and a Time Machine Backup finally got my computer up and running again. Thanks to Lion, I think I'll stay with OS X 10.6.8 at least it's reliable.

If you upgraded the modem......but you have not reset the printer back to its original default settings and then set it up again......now would be a good time to do this.
The printer still has the programmed settings to connect to your old modem, and it cannot find it, because it is no longer there. The printer is lost, and does not know how to find its way. It needs to be set up again with new settings to match your new modem.

Microsoft Office 2008 crashes when printing since upgrading to Yosemite

Ever since upgrading my Macbook Pro (late 2009) to OS X Yosemite I'm having trouble with Microsoft Office 2008. Whenever I try to print from any of the Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the program will crash and the file will not print. I am still able to print from other programs (Safari, Preview, etc...). And aside from this I'm having no other issues with the Office programs. So at the moment I'm reducing to having to save files as a PDF and then printing from Preview. Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

I'm not sure if the printer driver is updated, it usually does that automatically...
That sounds magical but I have never had printer drivers automatically update themselves. After your upgrade to Yosemite, did you setup your printer using Print & Scan in System Preferences?

Hp officejet 6110 not printing since upgrading to windows vista

I have recently upgraded my hp laptop from windows xp to vista and am now unable to print to my approx 4 yr old hp printer (officejet 6110). I get a message on my computer saying USB device not detected. I have tried all the solutions suggested by hp on their website under "print jobs are stuck in the print queue and will not print with a USB connected printer in windows vista" but problem unresolved. Can no longer print to a Samsung CLP-310 laser printer since upgrade to LR 4.3

Sometimes I need to print a draft photo to the Samsung for various reasons. I have had this printer for 4 years and never had a problem printing from LR until now. The printer will go on, go through its cycles and then shut completely off and then come back on and eject a blank sheet. I can print from any other program including photos from Aperture without any issues. Only since LR-4 had I had this issue.
I tried many settings such as smaller scale pictures, draft mode, etc., to ensure I was not exceeding the Samsung printer's parameters. Again, this printer worked since Lightroom Beta. LR-4 prints great photos to my Epson inkjet printer w/o any problems. Any ideas what changed? Thanks! Andy

Has anyone had a printer of any kind that worked fine until the latest LR version and were you able to fix it without resorting to printer specific methods (drivers, etc.)? If yes, what adjustment did you make to correct this? If there is one, it might be universal.... thanks!

Envelops do not print, but regular text material does print, since upgrading to Yosemite.

I have two HP Printers that connect to my MACBook Pro. HP5520 an HP6510 mutifunction print,scan, copy. I have recently upgraded my operating system to the OS X Yosemite 10.10. Now the print envelop tool does not work. The envelop feeds through the printer but does not print the addresses.
I just upgraded the HP software but note it was the Mavericks version so do I assume correctly that this bug has not been fixed by HP for Yosemite?

Here is the solution: I uninstalled the old version of Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 and purchased a new version, installed, updated. Now word is able to print envelops on my all-in-one. So the issue was a microsoft bug.

Unable to print after upgrading to Snow Leopard (Dell 1320C) - Network

This recently started after upgrading to Snow Leopard.
The OSX drivers worked well with Leopard 10.5.xx but after upgrading to Snow Leopard, i keep getting "network host busy" or "could not connect to printer".
I've tried completly removing printer, reinstalling (IP based), drivers etc etc I even resetted the printing system (right clicking and reseting in the printers list).
This works fine with Leopard but it fails on Snow Leopard..

I had the same problem not being able to print to Dell 1320c after upgrading to Snow Leopard. Here is a work around for the Dell 1320c printer to work on Mac with Leopard 10.6.2
Do not use the printer driver from Dell. Delete the Printer Setup from your Mac.
Locate Mac Driver Suitable for 10.5 (Version 1.7) at http://www.fujixeroxprinters.com.au/en/support/Downloads.aspx?product=5452&categ ory=5726
Double click the icon to install after it downloads. It should create file DPC525AAPv17x5.dmg. When the install is finished you can delete the installer.
From the Apple menu open System Preferences and select Print & Fax.
Click the + to add a printer.
Select IP Printer.
Select for the Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
Type the IP address: 192.168.1.xxx or whatever your printer is assigned on your network. (If you don't know, go to your printer and hold down the Green button until the configuration sheet prints. You can see the IP address once printed.)
Name the printer "Dell Color Laser 1320c" or whatever you'd like to call it.
For Print Using select: FX
Next select FX DocumPrint C525 A-AP v1.7 in the box below.
On the next screen you must select 250 Sheet Feeder as an option. Otherwise it will only be able to manual feed.
Click Ok.
Go to Print something, File... Print... but don't click the Print button yet.
Under Pages: go to the Drop Down and select Fuji Xerox Features.
Find the Paper Source Drop Down and select Tray 1 (250 sheets),
then go up to Presets: Drop Down above and select Save As...
and under Preset Name, type Standard-1, leave This Printer Only and click OK.
Now you can click the Print button. This will set the Dell 1320c printer to print from the document tray and not try to manually feed all the time.
Anyway, that's the work around to use the Dell 1320c Color Laser printer under Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6.x.

Cannot print since upgrading to Maverick

I have just upgraded to Maverick and my printer stopped printing. I have a HP 8600 Pro Office Jet. The printer is running low on ink but will print from Windows and also from the mac when printing a test page. When I try and print an email for example it goes to the print queue but will not actually print. There is a warning the ink is low (but not an error). Could it be the ink level even though a test page works fine or are there other likely problems.

I have an HP Laserjet 3055 All-in-One Printer and am experiencing the same problem. It has been printing just fine from my iMac running OS 10.9.5 (Mavericks) until after the HP Printer Software Update, Version 3.0, that I installed on 1 Oct 2014. Although the 3055 is shown as connected/idle to my iMac via USB, after clicking "PRINT" for a document, the print queue status soon changes from "printing" to "waiting for printer to become available", and the printer never becomes available. I have tried rebooting everything (printer, computer, Word software), checking USB cable connections and changing USB ports, deleting and re-adding the 3055 printer (numerous times!) even after resetting the print system, but could there be something inherently wrong with the latest HP driver (version 19.9 for HP Laserjet 3052)? Or is it possible something else is going on? In other words, I have exhausted all the solutions I've found in these and other forums to no avail.
I have tested this printer by connecting it to my MacBook Pro also running OX 10.9.5 but without the HP Printer Software Update, Version 3.0. (Hadn't gotten around to this update...) The printer works fine, even though the driver has the same version number--19.9. So could the version 19.9 driver in the latest HP Printer Software Update be corrupted? Is there any way to reinstall that driver? Or copy the 19.9 driver from my MacBook Pro and install it on the iMac? HP only refers to the Apple Software Update process for Mavericks compatible drivers for this printer. Can I manually uninstall the HP driver for the Laserjet 3055 from my iMac and then have the iMac download the driver again in the process of re-setting up the 3055? Any suggestions appreciated.

Can't detect printer since upgrading to iOS 8

Since updating my iphone to iOS 8 my phone no longer can find my hp 7250 printer. My other devices that have not been updated still connect as normal. does anyone know if there is a driver update needed for the printer?
Note - if I use the hp ePrint application and give the exact printer IP address it works off and on.

Have you power cycled the printer? Have you power cycled your router? The only way to find out if there is a driver update for the printer is to check the HP site. I have an HP printer with my iPhone 5S and iOS8 and have no issues with printing. Also, reset the phone after doing the other resets, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.
