HT4623 Update to iso from 4.3.3 without a computer from wi fi

Hey
My computer has broken therefore I can not connect my iPad to a computer and it is operating off version 4.3.3 and some of apps require iso to update and I want to update my items. How can I update to iso. When I go into general there is no option to go into software update?
Help help help please
Thank you Yasmin

To upgrade iOS from 4.3.3, you must connect it to a computer running iTunes. There is no other  way.

My daughters iPhone 4 is displaying a connect to iTunes after trying to update the phone to iOS 6

Error 3194, AKA "This device is not eligible.. occurs for several reasons:
    1.  Update to the latest iTunes - currently 10.4.1.
    2.  Disable ALL security apps (firewall, antivirus/spyware) running on your computer.  Additional measures may be needed.
    3.  You may need to edit the Hosts file on your computer to remove references to gs.apple.com if you EVER used hacking techniqus or apps such as tinyumbrella.
    4. Don't try to downgrade the iOS.
    5.  If the phone was EVER successfully hacked in the past (jailbreak, downgrade, unauthourized unlock) there may be nothing you can do now to fix this.
"This device is not eligible for the requested build: Also sometimes displayed as an error 3194. If you receive this error, update to the latest version of iTunes. 3rd party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue, to resolve please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see  iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod; follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store.  Also, using an older or modified .ipsw file can cause this error. Try restoring moving the current .ipsw file aside, or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw."

This is the "ordernumber" it means it is a 3G indeed, not the 3Gs, and the 3G max iOS is 4.2.1.
It can only updated via the computer iTunes.

  • HT4623 How to update ISO from 4.3.5 when Software is nowhere to be found?

My iPad ISO version is 4.3.5(8L1). I followed the steps to go to General but do not see Software between About and Usage. Can anyone tell me what I can do in order to update my ISO?  My iPad is connected to wifi and a power source.

See the chart below to determine whether you can upgrade your device and what you can upgrade to. If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to connect your device to your computer and open iTunes in order to upgrade.

  • HT201210 I am trying to update iphone 4 from ISO 5.1.1 to ISO 6.0.1

I am trying to update iphone 4 from iSO 5.1.1 to iSO 6.0.1.  The phone says it needs a software update, but when it's almost finished downloading it says Update failed.  I am connected to Wi-Fi.  Any suggestions?

Are you updating over the air or using iTunes on your computer? If you're doing it over the air, use iTunes instead. It's a little more reliable as far as the download goes.
If you're doing it via iTunes, disable your antivirus and firewall software. It can interfere with the update.

  • Since updating to ISO 8 my iPod touch keeps dropping me from from wifi.i have to keep rebooting. I have an airport extreme which looks like a white space ship. Can anyone help.thank you

Since updating to ISO ate my iPod touch fifth-generation keeps dropping me from Wi-Fi I have an older AirPort Extreme that looks like a white spaceship does anybody have any solutions I have an iPad first-generation and my girlfriend has an iPod touch fifth-generation that she hasn't updated yet and there is no problem with those two units

I would either say that the iOS is correpted due to a software glitch or y have have a hardware problem like bad memory locations that are corrupting the iOS.
    - Restore from backup via iTunes. This will install a fresh copy of the iOS. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.   This will elimate corruptin in the backup causing the problem.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Since updating to Iso 6 my iMessages are showing as coming from my email address, anyone know how to fix this?

Since updating to Iso 6 my iMessages are showing as coming from my email address, anyone know how to fix this?

I figured out my problem...... I have custom text tones set up for certain ppl and had the default text tone set to "none" well with the iOS6 update it made it so if your default text tone is set on "none" then you won't hear what I call the send and recieve text sounds when in a converstation... if you change the default text tone to any text tone other than "none" you will get your send and recieve sounds back.... kinda annoying if you don't won't random texts from ppl waking you up... so I made a custon text tone that is called silence with just recording a few seconds of dead noise then edited it and turned all the sound levels down to 0 and set that as my default text tone.... now I have the send and recieve text sounds in a conversation and everything is fine! Sorry Nehucskter the first time I had this problem thats the first thing I did was reboot my phone.... first thing you do for everything lol....

  • HT4623 Hello there.. I want to update my ios from ios 3 to ios 5.... But I can't find software update at my general setting? Wahat should I do? Thanks...

Hello apple... I can't find software update at my general to update my ios from 3.21 to ios 5... What should I do? Thanks before

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

  • HT4623 Can I update my iPad from iOS 5.1 to 6?

Can I update my iPad from iOS 5.1 to 6?  It says there are no updates available when I check but there are apps I want that require the newer iOS.

If yours is an iPad 1 then it can only update as far as iOS 5.1.1

why I cannot update my ipad from 5.1.1 to latest versions? Some of the apps wouldn't work on the 5.1.1 .  To buy a new ipad, would be a rip off. What is the solution?

The original iPad does not have the memory and processing power to run more recent version of the iOS. 5.1.1 is the latest it can run.

  • HT4623 Update Ipad from a version before ios 5

How to update an iPad 2 from the iOS 4.3.3 to the newest one? Is there a way to do it without a computer?

The iOS 5 update must be installed from iTunes on a computer, as it introduced the capability to update further on the iPad itself.
