HT4623 Updated iPad2 to ios 7.0.4. iPad restarts and wants to go through setup. I get to the "Set Up iPad" screen; it is asking to restore or setup as new iPad. I pick "Restore from iTunes Backup". I do the restore, but it loops back again to setup
the iPad seems to be in a loop between setup and restore. Not sure if I did something wrong, maybe selecting a wrong option after the ios update.

I believe to use iCloud you need to run at least Lion (10.7). (Only the Find My iPhone or Find My Mac parts of iCloud work with OS earlier than 10.7/Lion).

You have a Core 2 Duo. You can upgrade to 10.6 and then install Lion, or use the thumb drive approach mentioned above (thumb drive Lion costs about $70 I think). You need to check your RAM to see if you have enough.
Folks have reported that 4 GB RAM is really a minimum for a decent experience with Lion.
For Mountain Lion, see this ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5444 ) for what you need to have to install OS 10.8. I don't think you can use Mountain Lion (10.8) with your early 2008 Macbook. -
Just updated our iPad2 to iOS 7, and all my photos in camera rolls are gone, can't locate them anywhere. Were they just deleted, or is there a way to find them? Did not have iCloud account, so not backed-up there.
We're you backing up to a computer using iTunes? If so, restore the backup from there.

My daughter's touch has gone blank and has no apps or music or photos on it. This has happened before and i was able to get most of data back on. Usually it's because you are not making internet connection via wifi.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

If I choose "restore from iTunes backup" to move everything from old iphone to a new one, will I still be able to use the old phone for music and apps? Can the old phone be docked up to that same computer every now and then? Or will the new and old phone overwrite each other in some way? I just updated my iphone to ios7 and I keep getting stuck at the 'Set up your iPhone' screen. I click 'Restore from Itunes Backup', but it only ends up restarting after restoring and fails to get past the 'Set up your iPhone' screen. Any ideas?
Normally, I would suggest restoring the iPad and uninstall and reinstall iTunes but you have done both of those things - more times than you ever imagined!
Have you thought about turning auto syncing off?
Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
If you do this you can backup the iPad right away before it syncs. You may want to go into all of the iTunes tabs and just make sure that all of the current content on the iPad is selected to sync before you actually do sync.
This doesn't solve the problem, but it would prevent the automatic sync and erasing content. Hopefully, in the next few days- when iOS 5 is released - you will also be relieved of this weird iPad behavior - since the iOS devices are supposed to become PC free.
BTW - and this is no excuse for what you are experiencing, but I have found that some of the game apps that I had on my iPad turned out to be quite troublesome and after I removed them, my problems went away. I know that is almost sacrilege with regard to the Angry Birds addiction .... But I'm just saying ... -

After the update my Ipad restart and after that it appears a picture that need to connect to itunes and need to restore. So i connect it to itunes and wait to restore my ipad mini because it is not opening.

I lost my Visual Voicemail when upgrading to iphone 5. New phone was set up from itunes backup of iphone4 but my Mac tells me there is an iCloud back up of my phone prior to this date. Will my Vis Voicemail be on this and can I get it on my new phone?
I see. Apple's documentation on what is included in the iCloud backup doesn't explicitly say that it contains voicemails, but that doesn't mean it does not. You would just have to try restoring the backup to find out.
To restore to your iCoud backup you have to start by erasing the phone. Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup. You will then sign into your iCloud account, accept the terms and conditions, then choose the backup you wish to restore from. To see an older backup, you may need to tap "Show older backups" (see image below). Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.
If this does not recover your voicemails, you can check to see if you have an older iTunes backup that may contain them. Available backups are shown in iTunes Preferences>Devices on the Backups list.
If all else fails, you could try contacting your carrier. Voicemail is a carrier feature and they may have an archive you could access.
