So I have put the new update in my iPhone, now I cannot hear music or videos.. My text tones still work.

In your case your only solution is to restore it ( see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 ) and you may need to force it into restore mode to do that. This will wipe everything off it and reset it as new, without the passcode. You can then redownload purchased content, buy unless you have a sync'd copy of your contacts and photo's they will be gone.

This new update for the iphone has me troubled. Nowhere did I see where it was only good for 3GS,4S and or 5. Is this update also good for the 3GS? I'm reading people are haing trouble.

iOS 6 can be loaded without problem on the 3GS. Not all features are supported however.
With respect to your reading people are having trouble, what did you expect to see on this technical support forum? People don't write in to state they have a trouble-free upgrade.

I am having the same issue here... just upgraded my 5s to 7.1.1 (never jailbroken - factory unlocked) and then boom... NO Service!!! Searching ... that's it. currently using Smart Telecom Sim... at first it was working for me... after 6-7 hours, it started the No Service issue. I cannot send a text or make a call...

MS Word is not an Apple product so it could not've downloaded with all the Apple software updates.

In any case boot from your OS installer disk and run Repair Disk from Disk Uility.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Ran apple update, now region won't produce sound

I ran apple update last night, rebooted. I have a project where it will not produce sound. I created a new test project, and it does produce sound. in the old file, I can see the waveform, but during playback, the meters don't move.

Can do, but will not make a difference for this problem. The OP is on 10.5.2, which is known to be buggier with Logic than 5.5 or 5.6. In his case upgrading to 5.5 or .6 could make a difference.
Everyone: check the mixer for soloed Channel strips - make sure to unhide any hidden tracks first: If it is orange, click the H button above the track list. If it is blank, there are no hidden tracks. Also look carefully (bottom of window) if you can scroll in the mixer.
Has everybody tried rebuilding prefs? If you have any custom key commands, export them first (via the KC window menu). Quit Logic. Go to 'StartupHD'/Users/'you'/Library/Preferences/ and drag the com.apple.logic.pro.plist (the 'prefs') to the Desktop. Start Logic (fresh default prefs are made), set your audio prefs if necessary, load the project and see if anything has improved/cleared. If not, you can quit Logic an move the old prefs back if you like. If it does, trash the old prefs and thank God (or me, or everybody who taught me this) that the problem's solved (for now). O, and reimport your custom key commands.

Air update, now video scrubbing has stopped working?

Well ok, not exactly sure what's happened here, myself but... the main issue is this: I believe that since I did the most recent air update, video seeks no longer work while the video is paused. Basically meaning, I can't scrub through a video any more. No compiler errors, works fine in the flash environment, just stopped working (immediately after an adobe update) when running the actual air app.
Details if you want 'em: I write somewhat large video apps where I work, and to help some of the others there, I've written some air apps that let them scrub through the videos, etc. I'm quite certain it happened right after an air update, 'cause I was using one of the apps myself just fine, when an adobe update window appeared. Pretty sure it was air. Anyway, I let it do it. Then when I went back to work, I could no longer scrub. Tried re-installing air, but no go. Then tried recompiling, but still nothing. Oddly, like I said, I don't get compiler errors, and it works in the flash environment when I test movie. Just won't work on the external air app. Basically, I'm doing this:
click on scrubber
   pause movie
   start scrubber drag
while dragging scrubber
   seek to location based on scrubber position
release scrubber
   stop scrubber drag
   resume movie
When i release the scrubber, the movie will resume from the proper new location based on the final scrubber position, but the movie just sits frozen during the scrubbing process, so you can't see where you are in the movie while scrubbing. I can display other stuff, like the scrubber position. but the video just won't seek. worked until the second I got that update.
Anyway, been searching but havn't seen anyone else complaining about this. Maybe air's not as popular as I wish it was. It's even possible that my feeble old brain missed something and this is a windows 7 thing, but I'm quite certain I was using it and it was fine the instant it broke, 'cause that update window appeared and made me shut my app down to do the update. Tried rolling back to a previous version of air, but that doesn't seem possible. Thanks to anyone who has any ideas about this.

I had the same problem(I couldn´t see myself neither the other person, but the other person could see me).
I have solved it doing this:
Log into your Gmail account > Settings > Labs. Enable Video Chat Enhancement lab. Save change. Restart Gmail. Test video.
And now I can see myself and the other person.

My iPhone has no sound (apart from alarms); yet it plays through headphones. What can I do to restore normal functions?

I use my iPhone 4 regularly with headphones and their controls. Now, however, the iPhone doesn't play any sounds on its own, except for alarms.
I have powered on and off; i have made sure that the volume control is set correctly; but so far i have not been able to restore normal sound functions to the phone.
Can anyone please advise me as to what to do? I have not heard about such a problem before.

I have the same issue. Phone rings with calls and alarm works but no sounds with tweets, messages...etc
Tried sleep-wake with Home button reset.. Tried full restore from back up. Mute slider makes no difference.
When in settings/ sounds and I try to select alert sounds I can feel the Vibrate with each selection but no sounds.
Any ideas?

ITunes wants to download new iOS update even though iPhone has already updated.

I updated my iPhone 5 to 7.1.2 through my phone settings. I connect it to iTunes so I can restore my phone because I like doing so to get a little bit of storage space back every now and then. Once I click Restore, it says iTunes wants to download the 7.1.2 update. Now my question is why does it want to download it when it says that my phone is already updated to 7.1.2. This is very tedious because the download shows up to at least five hours. My iTunes is updated to most recent one as well. I just want to be able to restore my phone without having to download this 7.1.2 update even though my phone is already at 7.1.2. Any help would be appreciated and thank you.

I've managed to log in - reset everything to English - and run a backup - which of course took ten minutes and then gave me an error -1 code at the end.
All of my apps seem to be sitting on my imac itunes but they are not sitting on my ipad anymore.
Going to try to sync one of them over to my ipad but I suspect that all of the content in them is probably gone....

Hp pavilion g6-1d28dx, there was an error message about a driver, now the computer has no sound. :(

System: Windows 7 - 64 bit
Error Message: "Driver not installed properly" I did not accept any drivers to install, and it did not specify what it was trying to install.
I made no changes to the system that I know of..
And now, my sound does not work. I tried through the internet and Windows Media Player. WMP gives me an error message when I try to play music, and will not play. The error message states "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file." When I click the "web help" button from WMP it tells me to update my drivers, but my computer says all sound based drivers are up to date.
Help?

Download & Save the latest IDT Audio driver. In Control Panel, Programs & Features uninstall the IDT software, restart the laptop and use the downloaded file to reinstall.

If still no sound,try a hard reset.Disconnect all external devices first.
1-remove power cord and battery
2-press power button for 30 seconds
3-reinstall only power cord for first startup.
4-power on
