HT4623 Updating My Ipad...Will not go past set up?

Ive updated my Ipad to the new IOS 7, when i go through the new setup it prompts me to restore my Ipad through Itunes, which I do it 'restores' my Ipad restarts and goes back to the same setup asking me to restore again! No idea what to do as it wont let me use my Ipad without restoring

HT1414 My iPad will not progress past the home screen. My computer will not let me back it up. What can I do?

My iPad will not progress past the home screen, and my computer doesn't allow me to download my data from it. What do I do? I wanted to try to restore it, but I don't want to lose my "stuff".

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose your "stuff" with Recovery Mode.

Is my original ipad capable of going past ios 5.01? It tried to get 6 at one time, now just says it is up to date.

After recent update my ipad will not recognize my laptop in other devices

After the most recent update, my ipad and iphone does not recognize my laptop in other devices. I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and also updated itunes and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Solved my own problem Uninstalled google chrome on both iOs devices and reinstalled and it's as good as new. Thanks for your help Ralph!

HT4623 My iPhone 4s will not go past the apple logo screen after I did the recent software update. If anyone knows what I can do to rectify this please let me know.

I set my phone to update overnight, woke up this morning and it showed an icon to plug the phone into iTunes. Upon plugging in the phone, itunes said the phone needed to be restored first. iTunes downloaded an update and went through the motions, then said that the phone was not eligable.
What do I do? It won't show anything other than the apple logo.

I have a 2nd gen ipad. Since the latest ios update my ipad will not charge when hooked up to my computer running windows 7 and even though it shows that it syncs in Itunes, it will not download any apps. It just seems to skip that part.

I went to the apple store and they hooked up my ipad to a mac and it showed that it was charging and that apps would download. My ipones, touches, and ipods are not having any problems, just this ipad. It seems to be since I updated to the new ios. You can't even do a restore on it because it doesn't recognize it. It shows up top that it's doing that but nothing happens on the ipad. The computer seems to recognize the ipad, itunes recognizes it. It acts like it is communicating with it but it doesn't download anything and won't charge when it's hooked up to the USB port. THe Apple store says there is nothing wrong with this ipad which is about 6 mths old. So what now?

My ipad will not charge past 50%. This is with the AC adaptor and I have tired multiple outlets.

It won't charge past 50%. It has not been dropped or treated roughly. The problem was first discovered this morning. I'm using my wall charger and have tried multiple electrical sockets. I took a look at the warranty and from what I see it doesn't cover the battery AT ALL. I understand not covering batteries with extended warranties but for a battery driven product like the ipad it really ought to last longer than a few months.
Is there any chance this is covered under the warranty somehow? I don't want to make do with half an ipad :/

This could be just a problem with the battery charge display. There is a recomendation that you periodically (once a month is suggested) run your iPad down to the point it shuts itself down, and then fully charge it to 100%. In order to calibrate the battery percentage display.

IPad will not boot past logo screen. Any suggestions?

Purchased a used iPad yesterday that was booting up successfully. Brought it home and connected it to my mac using iTunes 10.4 and selected the option to restore to factory settings and update iPad software to the latest available.
Ever since I have done that, I can't get it past the initial black screen with the Apple logo. I have to hard boot it to power off and have restored it multiple times but still get nothing.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

That would be my assumption as well on the sim card. I don't know exactly how old the iPad is - but you can enter the serial number on one of these sites and you can find out if it is still under warranty. If so, you at least have that to fall back on. The serial number should be printed on the box and it is printed on the back of the device as well.

One other thought - you had activated the iPad and you did use it successfully for a period of time? ....just to be sure ...

IPad will not load past Apple Logo

My iPad froze, so I rebooted it by holding the home and power button for 10 seconds. Now, it won't even load past the Apple logo. Please help me!

If the reset don't work then I think that you may need to contact Apple

After updating my wife's iPad to iOS6 the ipad will not connect to wifi on certain wireless routers. What can we do? Also, same for iPad mini with same router. But iPhone that has iOS5 has no problem connecting.

Need help. Before updating to latest software iOS6 the iPad had no issues connecting on our home router. After updating the iPad will not work. We have a mini iPad with same issue. But I have a iPhone 4S that I chose not to update to iOS6, still has iOS5. It connects no problem to router. Our computers have no issues connecting to router either. There is a software issue with iOS6.0.1 that will not allow certain routers to communicate. What can I do? Also, the mini iPad stated a newer version of software is out, version 6.0.2 which is supposed to correct the wifi problems. It has helped but still haven't connectivity issues. However, the iPad states software is up-to-date so we cannot update to 6.0.2 even through connecting to computer on iTunes. How can that be?

After an attempted software update, the iPad will not connect to iTunes because it is password locked. But eh screen does not allow me to input the password. This is not a jailbroken iPad, but I did get a message on it that my "iPhone cannot send or receive calls without resetting." This is why I tried to sync, etc.
