HT4623 What would happen if i don't update my ios to the latest software version? Will it cause my iphone to malfunction?
I have been experiencing signal related concerns like connecting to 3g network eversince a new software update becomes available in the settings notification. I didn't update to the latest software version because i find it time consuming and tedious. What will happen now if i refused to update my iphone software, will it cause my device to not work properly? Kindly enlighten me, thank you!
No, you can ignore it for as long as you like, but it sounds as though your phone is already not working properly. Though the following updates do not specifically address your concern it is possible that it could help.

Hi, thank you very much for your reply. No my phone was never been jailbreak-ed. Never been dropped in water or in any wet surface. Dropped on the floor while texting yes, but it was just a one time incident, last year august i can clearly remember, but after that no more (phone still works fine even after.) restored the phone again earlier, but problem still occured. Will try to go to Apple also to ask and have it checked. Just worried because my phone is already out of warranty. Will keep you posted. Again, thanks. If you have any more advice just let me know. It would mean a lot.

You have OS X Lion. OS X Mountain Lion is compatible with Mid 2007 (iMac7,1 or newer) iMacs, so to check that you have a compatible Mac, press , hold the Option (Alt) key and open System Information. Then, check Model Identifier. Also, the App Store will tell you if your iMac is supported when you try to purchase OS X Mountain Lion, so you can skip this step.
While it's being downloaded, make a backup of your files with Time Machine and check that your applications are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com
When the download finishes, the OS X Mountain Lion installer will appear, so follow the steps. You will be running OS X 10.8.4 -

So this is really just a token post to keep my service provider happy (no idea why I have to do all the asking for them when we both already know the answer) but can I please have a confirmation of the latest software versoin for the Nokia 6700 Slide.

Thanks, swinsorv71.004 seems to be the last released update. If the phone is Network branded your device may / may not get this update. Anyway, the update was released long ago.

Basically, I just want to know what happens if I choose not to upgrade to the most current version? I keep getting pop ups to upgrade my 3.6 but it always takes me to the download for 6.0! I '''DO NOT''' want 6.0-it sucks! My computer is not even a year old but Firefox 6.0 caused many issues. Plug ins-all updated/current, but 6.0 would not allow some of my programs run properly. I don't know why all these programmers won't get a real job, instead of "upgrading" something that worked very well up to a year ago. Every "upgrade" takes away a lot of functionality - and eliminates useful plugins. Sadly, Firefox seems now aimed at kids who like to play with the computer, neglecting people who use the Internet for BUSINESS purposes. Version 6.0 crashes constantly, sometimes every few minutes, so it became totally useless. I'm switching to Opera.

To update my Itunes to the 10.7 or later, it says I need to update my mac. When i go to update my mac, it says that there is not one available. How do I fix this?
What Mac OS X version do you have? You can go to > About this Mac and find the version. If you don't have Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later, you'll need to update to that and then your iTunes will update. http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1400 <=== that is the link to purchase the 10.6.8 update

If there is no pressing reason to update the phone, I would wait. There are alot of people that are having problems with the phone when they did the upgrades. Missed calls/texts, dropped calls, freezing, etc.
Gingerbread is rumored to be in the works for the Fascinate, hopefully soon... -

It is not telling you to update your iphone, it is telling you that you need to update itunes on your computer.

my iphone 4 (3G) is no longer showing up in itunes, and is no longer even a recognzed device by my computer since i updated itunes. i was going to try updating my iphone software, but it is suggested to back it up before i do that, but i cant back it up if its not showing up in itunes, etc. if i plug in my ipod, i have no problems whatsoever. can anyone help me out here? i feel like an idiot. thanks
If the hard rest isn't working then it sounds like its not going to turn on. Accidently damage isn't covered in you limited hard ware warranty. The iPhone 4 and below is 149$ to replace and iPhone 4s is 199$

How do I get calendar items entered on my iPhone5 to sync to my Mac desk top? The sync seems to omly work from computer to phone.
The iCloud settings for the computer and other devices are in the iCloud preferences in System Preferences. If you open iTunes with your iPhone connected to the computer, select the iPhone under Devices in iTunes' sidebar, then click on the Info tab in iTunes' main window. Look at the various items you see listed. Be sure to check the Mail component for your GMail account because it is not an iCloud mail account. Your Calendar and Contacts components should state that they are being synced by iCloud.
