HT4623 When asking the security questions it won't allow me to 'choose' the third question and answer. what do I do?
When I want to buy an app the security questions come up. First and second questions are fine. When I get to third question and answer it won't let me Choose a question. It highlights blue then won't go any further in the process! So I can't buy or download any apps!
This has been a very common problem this weekend. Some people have been able to get by this by accessing itunes on a computer. If you do a search for this problem in the forum, you will see the multiple postings.

This process does not appear to work for me. I'm running 10.8.3. I created a new user for a guest staying with me. They have gone now and I am attempting to either change the password or delete the user. It won't allow me to choose the user I created. I am logged in as myself and it states that I am an "Admin". The user I'm attempting to change is listed as a "standard" user and there is a white checkmark inside an orange circular background on the user pic in the list of users.
Can someone help me? I am having a hard time believing that OSx will allow me to create users and allow them use of my computer and it's drives, yet it will not allow me to change the password so I can monitor what they might have been doing while logged on? What if this were my child? This guest left under sketchy circumstances, and I'd really like to be able to ensure they were not using my computer to do illegal things or to have illegal communications.
Any help would be appreciated. (It's odd that it was so simple to "create" a user and set a password for them.......but it's complicated or a little known process to reverse.
Thanks.Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing. The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as). The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue). However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens. It will not change to highlight that user.

You would have to work with a retailer selling iTunes cards who would accept a non-US credit card. Best Buy is a possibility; they carry iTunes prepaid cards and will accept orders from other countries:

You'll have to have the order shipped directly to the person in the US (or at least someone with a US address, who could then repackage and resend the cards for you).

There is nothing to input because your licensing system isn't functional. Reinstall the software properly using the full suite installer, not some obscure single app installers or whatever you mean by "backup".

If you are upgrading from Office 2008 without any service pack you need to install SP1 before installing SP2
Prerequisites

In the file menu it won't allow me to send a sms, why?

You have to be in the United States
The Buddy has to be a Phone number that is also in the United States (On a service that Accepts AIM forwarded SMS)
So...
In the Buddy list the Buddy has to look like +1 234 456789 (but a real Mobile/cell number)
Then the option in the menu should go dark when you highlight this Buddy

Security Questions (3) for AppStore iPhone - Every time I try to enter the 3 security questions, it keeps kicking me out of the program and won't allow me to save the questions, keeps kicking me back to the beginning and erasing the ones I've entered. Even though i have a year student subscription with creative cloud when i try to open the programmes a window comes up for free trial or to buy the product. I was clicking the free trial option but i guess thats over now so it won't allow me to access the programs. Any suggestions?

You really don't need to do "secure Empty Trash." Just empty the Trash. If you don't have permission to access some items that means you shouldn't be trying to delete them or you are trying to delete a file you don't own.
If your external drive is used only on your Mac, then it should not be formatted ExFAT. It should be prepared as follows:
Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Try restarting the computer. Then again try to Empty the Trash. Do you still get the error? What are you trying to delete? -
An app has disappeared from my screen yet when I try to reinstall it, it shows as already installed and won't allow me to install the app again.

I'm using aperture 3/mobile me to set up photo galleries which I send to friends. My question. Will icloud allow me to do the same or will I lose this function when mobile me closes down in July. You will have to find a new hosting service for your galleries, when MM is gone; but you will still be able to create the galleries with Aperture. Export them to your disk and upload them via FTP to your new hosting service.
