I heard ios 7 was available today but it's not available as an update.  Anyone heard otherwise?

    Try again tomorrow.  All Apple servers are undergoing a huge number of hits.  I think tomorrow or even the next day, all upgrade and activation servers will be in better shape.

    As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod. Not enough RAM
    All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB

    Yes, I _am_ able to log into your Apple account from my iMac _&_ I entered both my credit card number & the CVV number Correctly.  And I _try_ to get Mavericks from the Mac App Store, itself.
    Even though Mavericks is free after I enter data from my credit card, I see this:
      [Large App Store icon here, aside]  Your request is Temporarily unable to be processed.  [I _love_ that passive voice.]  Please try again later [ & later & Later & Later.  :-( ]
    I suppose that I need to use Mac OS X v10.8.5 even-longer, Happily-so!  :-)

    iOS 7 will be released on September 18. I don't know what time, but i'd guess 12:01am PST, 3:01am EST. It will be avalible for iPhone 4 or later, iPad 2 or later, iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th Generation).

    I agree. I updated to iOS 7 a few days after it came out. All was well and good until it came to the "Update Completed, finish these few steps to start using it" or whatever. I typed in my password, then clicked continue. Chose the Wi-Fi always use and then it went to the location services ****. I clicked on "Allow" and boom, it worked. Kidding, it froze right there. It didn't move until I locked it and unlocked it, at which point it wouldn't even let me click continue. iOS 7.0.0 seemed to be working for everyone else at my school, but I think because I downloaded 7.0.2, it didn't work for me. So for anyone else reading this, DON'T get iOS 7.0.2 until Apple legitimately fixes this huge problem.
