HT4623 When trying to install iOS 7.06 on my iPad I keep getting message that update failed. What do I do now?
I'm trying to update my iPad2 to iOS 7.06. In Settings it says there is an update. As far as I can tell the download completes although it seems to download slowly. But I always get a message saying installation has failed. Any ideas on what to do next? Thanks.
I strongly suggest using the instructions provided in the "Update your device using iTunes" section of the HT4623 article you attached above.

Hi,
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Now restart your iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

What's up with the iPhone update server. I have repeatedly tried in recent days to update the IOS software on my wife's 3GS iPhone but keep getting message that the iPhone update server cannot be contacted. The phone syncs normally and I am sure I am connected to the internet properly. Also I have successfully updated ITunes software during this same time frame. What gives??

Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service. -
I have a Samsung laptop with Windows 7. I tried to install Firefox several times and every time keeps coming this message "File is corrupt", not letting me open it.
Plus, I have the Norton antivirus and I don´t know if this is a problem caused by Windows version or the antivirus program.First repair permissions and restart your computer. Reinstall the latest version of flash player. Again repair permissions and restart your computer.

Last night I was watching programs on Apple TV with only one problem: I was not able to purchase the entire season of "Homeland" but could purchase and watch individual episodes. Today I am able to watch only previews and trailers from iTunes. After attempting to purchase a program I keep getting the message: "Apple TV is. Unable to connect to the server at this time. Please try again later." I am able to watch programs on Hulu, Netflix, etc. without problems.
Any suggestions?I have a similar problem. After a recent update I cannot access the iTunes Store to resubscribe to Hulu. "Cannot access iTunes Store at this time." Dunno what to do.

My IPhoto would no longer open, I uninstalled it, and tried to reinstall it with my software reinstall drive. A message keeps coming up, installation failed. What do I now?
If you have a copy of it backed up, restore that. If not, back up your computer, upgrade it to Mavericks, and then get the current iPhoto version. If you don't have it backed up and don't want to upgrade, go to the Mac App Store main page, click on Support under Quick Links, contact Apple, and see what they say.

I am trying to install iOS 6 on my IPAD2 but none of the screens that are displayed are what is on my IPAD.
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

When trying to install an Adobe extention, during the installation process I get this message-----"This extention cannot be installed----requires version 13.0 or greater." I am installing through Photoshop CC------appreciate any help.
Hi Gary. Extensions have to be written for the specific Photoshop versions they are designed to run on.and definitely don't all run on every version of Photoshop. You'd think that you'd be OK with that message, but it might be that it works fine on CS6 (13) but not on CC (14).
But it could be an error.
What is the extension you are trying to install? Is Photoshop, and Extension Manager fully up to date? If you are sure that the extension runs on CC, I'd try un installing, and reinstalling the Extension Manager. I have had to exactly that a while back. -
Trying to install flash player on a Mac. I keep getting an error message that I need to turn close Safari to continue. I don't have Safari open. How do I get past this impediment?
