We can only hear every other word of the person we are talking to. This happens at home, on the road and in the downtown area while calling both cellphones and landlines. It is intermittent, so we don't know exactly when it will reoccur. Absolutely no problem with data. The data speed is great.

While there may be an issue in your area, it is suggested that you don't use wireless service if it's a life or death situation, such as the one you've described.

Can't recieve texts while talking on the phone

Ever since I upgraded to ios7 I can't receive texts while talking on the phone. Once I hang up call they all come through at once. Is this a phone or a carrier issue.

Forgive me for asking, but are you sure they are text messages instead of iMessages? iMessages has a blue bubble for the out going while text has a green bubble for out going.
Text messages doesn't use the data part of your cellular carrier. However, iMessages does use the data. With that being said, if you are on a carrier that uses CDMA like Verizon Wireless in the US. Your phone can not receive iMessage while you are on a call, because it uses data. And CDMA phones can not use data at the same time on a phone call.

I just recieved my new e=note edge, wondering if the edge screen can be locked while talking on it, worried it may not work for me? I am a lefty lol and this maybe a problem while talking on the phone? Or will it?

Great question. We always want functionality of a device. Yes, you can lock this device while on a phone call. You holding the device will not disrupt the use of the device.

Today I was on the phone and received an important text. I tried to answer it, but received the message that it was not delivered. I had to end my call to send the text. Why can't I send a text or get directions from Google Maps while I am on the call?

Google Voice allows texting (and is useful for other things as well). If you're not in the U.S., I don't have any suggestions beyond searching the App Store for "Text" or "SMS". In the U.S., there are a number of apps that allow texting to other people who have the app (much the same way iMessage works) but there are a few that will also allow texting to other phones.

I have a work-around, since the in-call contacts screen doesn't include recents. While on the phone, tap the "Add call" (the plus) button. From there, you can go to Recents. If you want to see the number and more info on the contact, tap the blue arrow on the right of a contact. Just be careful, because if you tap the number, you will dial it and create a conference call.

Hi I'm just curious because I will be getting a iPhone 4 in May and I wanted to know if it's possible to be in a phone call while also using an GPS app?
Does the GPS app use the data connection or the GPS signal or satellites?

Thanks and I also did some research and found out that with GPS active, if you load your route/directions prior to making a phone call the route will be cached and navigation still works. The GPS will tell you where you are along the route.
But if you're on the phone and then try to load a map or navigation it will not load your route until it can download the map, meaning you will need to wait until you get off the phone call to download the info.
So if you know you will need to use navigation, turn on your GPS, load your map/route to start navigation, then make your phone call. Makes sense to me now and if anyone needs to know here is the solution right here.

its going to be 2 months since i bought my nokia E66, i like the phone but two things bother me most.
the first one is that the call volume is so low that i can hardly hear what the other party says
the other one like most of falks here "No gateway replay " when i try to connect to open WLAN. i have tried to disable the "automatic configuration" and "power saving" but there is still the problem. i was thinking, if i disable the automatic configuration, does that mean that i have to statically assign IP address to my E66?
i would be so happy if someone helps me.

How can you lock the screen on iPhone in iOS 7 while talking on the phone?

I am struggling to figure out how to lock the screen of my iPhone 5 during a phone call. In iOS 6, I was able to push the top "on/off" button to lock the screen. In iOS 7, I am able to do this ONLY while using the speakerphone. If I push this button while talking on the phone regularly or using a headphone, it ends the call rather than locking the screen.
I have found that I am muting calls and disconnecting calls accidentially with my "face" while holding the phone b/c the screen is so sensitive. Does anyone know a way around this?

I dont know of a way round this, but im having the same issue of puttig people on hold when putting the phone up to my ear.

I get so tired of having my iphone shut down on me mid-conversation. My screen is black and up to my ear; my phone is in my purse while I'm talking on my blue tooth and also has a black screen; or my phone is on my hip with a black screen while I talk with my earphones. How in the heck I am going to READ a low batter indicator on my phone behind a black screen? That information would be very helpful if I weren't on my blue tooth. Actually, that 2% low battery notification would very helpful to me if my phone weren't up to my ear with a black screen. Why can't they put a simple audible low battery indicator on the phone?

Now that I know you are talking about Cloud (not the focus of this forum -- a forum on Acrobat that does provide the icons and the reason for wondering what you were talking about). The Creative Cloud that I have does include the icons on the desktop. However, I am not familiar with the cloud service other than CC. If it is some other product, then exactly what is the product name. As far as CC, I get the icons on my desktop, so I am not sure what your problem might be.
If you did not like the tone, I am sorry, But I honestly had no clue what you were talking about because you only said that Adobe icons were not coming up. You provided no information on the product or operating system that are fundamental to providing help. Adobe (the company name) has about 150 forums dealing with different products probably numbering close to 100. So saying no Adobe icons was meaningless to me and thus the question. I don't really understand what you are asking. There is no iTunes Player. iTunes on your computer is not the same as iTunes on your iPad/iPhone/iPod. On an iOS device, iTunes is just a store, where you buy music, rent or buy movies. The music you have in your iTunes library on your computer can be synced to your iPad and you choose what music you want to sync to your iPad while your iPad is connected to your computer in iTunes. When you are not connected to your computer via iTunes, any music you did not sync to your iPad will not be viewable in iTunes, thus it can't be played because you did not sync it to your iPad. I don't I can make this any clearer.........
