Why I cant connect to my iphone 4, after I update to os7, and the screen appear ITunes and the USB Cables head.
Your iPhone is in recovery mode, You need to connect to iTunes in order to recover your phone. Once you do that, you will not have to connect it into your itunes again.

My phone crashed and has an icon showing a usb cable and the itunes emblem. when I connect to itunes it does not recognize my phone and treats it as just iphone. when I try to restore about 9 to 10 minutes into the restore the phone turns off and then on and then loses the connection with itunes and at the end of the download it just asks me to restore it again.
Be prepared to lose everything on your iPhone but it should be backed up in iTunes so you can restore from your backup.

There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.

Hi folks.
When I switched on my i-pod touch this morning, an image appeared with a usb cable and an arrow pointing to the i-tunes logo. I have tried to switch off and restart the i-pod touch (16GB) but I cannot get past this stage. Do I need to have access to i-tunes on my computer to bypass this? I am at work and don't have access currently....
I've had it for just approximately 14 months.

D6.It sounds like the ipod is in recovery mode. Plug it into you computer when you get home.
If it doesn't fix the problem, then take it to another computer running itunes and plug it in. It should tell you that an ipod has been detected in recovery mode and do you want to restore it. It should ask to download and install the software. After the install, plug it back into your computer and it should restore your apps and music.
This has happened to me with every update ever since the 3.0 software has come out.
Strangely enough, it didn't do it with ios 4 which should have told me that I was in for problems!!!!!! -

Only option is upgrading your Mac's OSX, since Apple will not allow iOS to go backwards.

You cannot return to previous state. The update re-locked the iPhone
to the original carrier. You must contact the original carrier to see if
they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that if your iPhone had previously been hacked/modified/
jailbroken to work with other than original carrier, it may be impossible

When my iphone was updating it operating software, the USB cable came out of the port. Now the screen will only show the USB cable and the itunes icon. It is not recognized by the itunes store. I unintalled the USB driver for the iphone, but it still does not work. I have turned off the phone and performed a reset.
Try another Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts. This usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. I tried to update my iPad to iOS7.04, during the process it requires me to connect my iPad to iTunes on my MacBook. Why is this so as I thought the whole update should be done via wifi? When I tried to stop it by force shut down and restart the iPad again, it would still require me to connect to iTunes. It seems that there's no other way to go about it, anyone can advise? Thanks.

Yes phone will automatically backup to icloud when on wifi and phone is charge, but your phone storage was full so it stop backing up.

In the attempt of updating my ipod touch, i am faced with the problem of not being able to be connected to the itunes in my computer (windows xp ) because my ipod touch got blocked up, leaving the icon of USB cable and itunes on my touch screen.
