HT4623 Wi-Fi issues on IOS7

I recently upgraded my iPod Touch to IOS7. I am having problems where some apps complain that I am not connected to wi-fi when indeed I can browse various web sites in Safari. I can purchase media via iTunes store. My stock symbols update just fine. The problem symptoms: The Music /Radio app tells me I am not connected to wi-fi. And a bigger issue for me is that I can no longer wi-fi connect music to play on my Bose Soundlink Air!. The control widget doesn't show up. Before the "upgrade" there would be a small arrow in Music to select what to use for output - iPod or Bose. If I power up my MacBook Pro and launch iTunes - it sees my Bose.
Help please!

Sweet, My IPhone & IPad work again. I was ready to throw both in the river!!! Called Apple and no help, told me to buy different speaker system or contact Bose. I can't believe "tech support" at Apple didn't know the "fix". I love my Bose and would have replaced my Apple products before replacing my Soundlink Air!!!! Big thank you to Shaeburks. I never knew that control panel was there.

ICloud Syncing issues on iOS7 on 5s?

Since switching over to iOS7 and an iPhone 5s I am having the following issues:
1. All my keyboard shortcuts (which sync using icloud) are gone.
2. I cannot see any of my icloud documents in Pages, Numbers or Keynote on my iPhone?
3. If I make any changes to iwork documents on my iPad they do not upload to iCloud.
4. When I try to login to iWork in the cloud it just takes me back to the login screen without logging me in. All other iCloud functions work fine.
Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Know of any fixes?

Exactly the same issues on my iPad2 although all my iCloud files are visilbe on my iMac. In addition, I've lost access to my files for PDFPen on my iPad.

IPad AirPlay issues since IOS7 upgrade

Hi all
Since the last ios7 upgrade i've had nothing but trouble with my AirPlay set up.
I have the following set up:
HP ProLiant N40L server running iTune server (latest build)
BT HomeHub 3 / TP Link TL-PA211 WiFi extender
iPad 3rd geneeration
iHome iW1 AirPlay speaker
Before the upgrade i would get some intermittent issues, but eventually after iPad restarts i could get AirPlay working. Since the upgrade 90% of the time my iPad will not see any AirPlay devices whatseover. After a reboot of the iPad (or more) it eventually sees the Airplay speaker. iTunes however on my server always sees the AirPlay device and has no problems whatsoever connecitng to it (please bear in mind that this is still on the same WiFi network).
On the occassional 10% that my iPad does see an AirPlay device, I connect, and then almost immediately the AirPlay device dissappears from the iPad.
I've spent 2 weeks now trying to sort the issue out. As my iTunes can see the AirPlay speaker without issues and play to it, I'm assuming it's part of the ios update.
Anyone got any suggestions, as i'm ready to throw in the towel?

First, before you lose interest - I have a solution that works so well to get BT Home Hub 3 working with 'Airplay' and Apple TV and my iPad 4, that I am so far unable to 'break' it. Please do try to break it yourself, and could you report back here or mark it with stars or whatever so I know what happened in someone else's setup?
I appreciate what you are going through, all I wanted to do was get 'Real Racing 3' running for me and the kidz on the TV that is attached to Apple TV box. Sometimes the Airplay icon appeared, sometimes not, it was chance - really frustrating.
The nub of it is this - you 'reserve' certain aspects of how the HH3 services the wifi network, so it directs data/communications via these 'reserved' ports specifically assigning them to the purpose you need - in this case, 'stuff' (technical eh?) going to the Apple TV so that Airplay works.
Apple forums somewhere list these publicised ports, and you go into HH3 management (tap in the IP address of the hub in 'safari' to get there, then put in your password for admin - it is 'admin' if you didn't change it already). In short, you use one of the games/applications that already are in the list for 'Port Forwarding', and I modified the name of a new one I made to make it like 'Airplay attempt using BT alarm' or something, because I 'copied' the BT safe alarm app details to start my custom one off. Lost yet?! Go into the HH3 manager, go to the A-Z I think it might be in 'advanced' and get 'Port Forwarding' up.
Ok, here's the things to set - if you peruse the apps/games they already list in HH3 for this sort of thing, you will see entries under 'TCP' or 'UDP' headings, and it's these sort of things we want to reserve. I only set the single specific addresses (it's just a number to you and me) that were listed on the Apple site as being to do with Airplay:
There are only 2 bits to set - you hit the button on screen in HH3 manager, to 'add entry', then select in the box marked 'protocol' that you want TCP or UDP according to the info I dug up from Apple site below - don't worry it is not complex to do you are just editing a couple of figures on a thing you don't use. Incidentally, I left the first two entries as they were (1024 was in there already) because I am just timid! So set it as below.

I took a pic of mine, for records, and this is what is in that pic. You have to enter the self-same number (eg 123 as above) no less than 4 times, this gives the results above.
On the bottom right, there is a button that says 'apply', so you hit that and it saves this new-fangled custom designed list of reserved ports/addresses for your 'Airplay BT alarm' or whatever you called it. THEN YOU MUST ASSIGN THIS CREATION OF YOURS TO A DEVICE - THE APPLE TV.
That's the basics of what I did - I have since restarted the BT HOMEHUB 3 several times, the Ipad 4 several times, the Apple TV has updated its software and has been restarted twice. STILL AIRPLAY WORKS.
So, I am reassuringly presented with the Airplay icon whenever I 'upswipe' on my ipad from the bottom of the screen - iOS 7.1 is on my ipad obviously, but that did not change the hit-and-miss of the Airplay icon until I made these mods to the HH3.
Over to you - try and break my solution please, and let me know if it works for you as well, or not. All I know is, Real Racing 3 can reliably be brought to bear on the Apple TV thing, and the Airplay icon is now never missing.
One more point - I think I also set the Apple TV IP address to be static - my ipad has had this situation for some time, along with the 'lease' set to a couple of weeks or something, so it does not try to select a different channel for wifi frequently? PLUS, I set something in the ipad I think, long ago (did not affect this issue as far as I can see), so that when the ipad 'wakes up' it does not decide to search for a better channel or IP address or something - that caused loads of glitches it seemed, then I found out my BT HH3 was on the end of dodgy phone cable not hi-quality shielded...but hey, that's a different bucket of bolts.

Why since upgrading to ios7 does my iPhone 5 not allow me to play iTunes from the lock screen? It has the option to press play but nothing happens I have to access the iTunes app on my phone!

Hopfuly you guys might understand my English! I am a iOS7 user from china, recently I found a difficult time to use new photo alumb share, when I set up a new share I need select some photos or videos to my share, but every time when i try to select a photo, system always go to the top of my album(the oldest photo), i need scorll way down to the bottom, its quite annoying when you got many photos in your album! The update is used for resolving issues in in windows.
If you did not encounter any issue, you can choose system restore and hide the update.
System restore:
Start>type system restore in the search box>click system restore and follow the restore wizard to restore your system.
Hide the update:
Control Panel>System and Security>Windows Update>click check for updates in the left panel>find the update and then choose hide.

HT4623 iPhone 5 Upgraded to iOS7 but cannot get iTunes to work!

The iTunes App opens but does not show anything! e.g. blank screen only. Tries to connect and sometimes gives message "Cannot connect to iTunes store". I can see top and bottom bar icons like Music, Films, TV, Search which each launch a new blank screen only. I can even get to Purchased option which still gives a blank screen. Have restored twice but result is the same.
Advice welcome.

Discovered the fix to no iTunes due to another separate App problem that locked up after iOS7 upgrade. To fix, goto "Settings", "Safari", "Privacy and Security" and set the "Block Cookies" to "From third parties and advertisers". Exit Settings and restart the iPhone. Works for my blank screen iTunes issue.

Issues after IOS7

I have an iPhone 4S and the warranity recently expired. After upgrading to the new software I have had issues with the battery life, previously the battery would last throughout the day, with constant use, after the IOS7 update, the battery will drain within a couple of hours with minimal use! The phone is in perfect conditon and has never had any issues previously. Will Apple replace my phone as it may be a software fault and would I be able to upgrade to a 5S for an additonal fee? Thanks

Used to have the same problem but fortunately it's now resolved .... In my case at least.
Updated my iPhone 5 OTA to iOS 7 on 19/9 ( shut down all apps and a hard reset b4 the update ). Since then and up until last week the battery has been acting up. B4 the update I was getting usage of 10+ hrs and standby of 30+ hrs. . After iOS 7 I was getting usage of max. 6:30 hrs and standby less than 20 hrs. Started following this and other threads about 2 weeks ago
These are the steps that I've hone, hope it helps some you guys.
Reset all settings.
Turned off background app updates
Turned off Airdrop
Turned off Parallax
Turned off Auto Brightness and reduced brightness
Switched off Location Services
Turn off Wifi and Bluetooth when not in use
Turned off All System Services when not in use.
Turned on Limit Ad Tracking in Privacy/Advertising
Set Diagnostics and Usage to "Don't Send"
Set Fetch New Data in Mail Manual
Turned off Push in Mail ( fetch manually )
Location services limited only to the apps that I use, all others off.
Battery calibration to adapt to iOS 7 ( full charge > use till shut down 5 times and also 5 hard resets at different times ).
Notification Centre limited to the apps that I use on daily basis.
iCloud > off except find my iPhone.
Automatic downloads in iTunes and App Store > off.
Settings > Cellular > USE CELLULAR DATA FOR > limited only to the apps that I use when I'm out and about ( I'm on wifi at home and office ).
Since last week the battery has shown a remarkable progress.
For the first time after the update I started seeing a usage of 8:30+ hrs and standby 30+ hrs.
Of course it's still not the same ( doubt if it will ever be like it used to ) but at the end of the day it's a ... Progress.
I believe that the power demand of iOS 7 and the A6 Chip processor on iPhone 5 are not well integrated ( just an impression since I'm not a tech guy ).
I know, by reading every post here, that a lot of you guys have tried all these measures without success.
Just wanted to share my experience with iOS 7 on iPhone 5.

When 7.0.3 showed in my phone and I saw an update of 67.7 Mb of bug fixes, I downloaded and installed it immediatlly.
It's been more than a week now. My iPhone 5 really stabilized a lot - so far - fingers crossed.
Apple must have realized ( at last ) that certain features of the new iOS are not compatible with the previous processors. Specially the MOTION features which in the new iPhone 5S are dealt with by the new and separate M7 motion chip, while in the previous iPhones are dealt with by the main processor.

IPhone 4 iMessage issues on iOS7 not receiving messages

Right, i recently upgraded to the iOS7 and did the most recent 7.0.2 update, however i now regret upgrading my iPhone 4 to this latest iOS as it has virtually left me with no option but to consider ripping my hair out.
I have restored my iPhone, reset network settings, signed in and out of iMessage, reset the phone and i still cant receive iMessages. I can receive and send normal SMS text messages. I am certain i can send iMessages as my friends and family seem to receive them, however I have had to resort to using my Macbook to see iMessages from friends and family as trying numerous settings and scouring this support section for any help hasnt worked.
Can anyone think of anything i may have missed which may allow me to see iMessages on my iPhone again?

You aren't alone. I think you've done just about everything you could, now you just have to wait until Apple gets it sorted out. I personally know about 10 ppl who are having issues, so it most likely is an Apple problem.

People who are having lag issues with ios7 on ipad mini

the lag issue on ipad mini is just because as it was updated to ios7 the ram availability on free ram has been to <150 mb which is over 220 for ios6 already mini is having very less 500mb so apple techies just work on it and make the ram availability as soon as possible because not only the games like temple run and others but also the interface is lagging.the multitasking is of no use because of it simply minimising one app and opening it within the seconds closing the app running and making it start again .so guys support this thread so that we will get an update asas.

Speakerphone audio issues after iOS7 upgrade

Is anyone else having speakerphone issues after upgrading to iOS7? I have a iP4 and when used normally, transmit audio is normal. When switching to speakerphone, transmit audio in non-existent and person on other end cannot hear me. Thoughts?

I also have a Mac Air 2012, tried charging from Mac Air and it's now charging! Mac Air is now charging from the same wall unit location which I used for iPad 2 - so nothing wrong with the wall unit.
I just wish i could charge as fast from wall unit as with iOS 6. Any further guidance is greatly appreciated.

IMAP issue on IOS7

When moving/managing mail on any one of my devices, the changes are not reflected on my other devices. e.g. move mail from my inbox to another folder.
The devices all point at the same IMAP account. The current functionality I am seeing defeats the purpose of IMAP given the devices are behaving as if they are on POP.
The devices are;
Iphone 5S
Ipad 3
Windows 8 PC, using outlook 365
Pre-IOS7 this worked and behaved as you would expect when using IMAP.   There have been no configuration changes to mail or mail setup on the IPhone, Ipad or Windows PC.   There have been no changes/upgrades to the IMAP server from when it was working on IOS6 to when it has now stopped working after the IO7 update.
Any ideas?   Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Just in case your settings got mangled somehow in the upgrade, have you tried deleting and re-adding the mail account on your iPhone and your iPad?
Also, if your IMAP mail service provider offers webmail access, does the webmail portal show the same content as the Windows box, one of the iDevices, or neither?
FWIW, I am not seeing this problem on my iPhone 5 or my iPad 3. I hope this suggestion helps you regain functionality on your devices.

What is happening in regards to this latest upgrade to iOS7 causing slow keypad response? Is Apple going to address this issue with an update? This is a real problem in the event of needing your phone to make an emergency call or text!!! The slow response could be dangerous! Example: Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals communicate almost exclusively by text, user to user as well as to a relay service.

I'm trying to roll back to iOS 6 for this and other reasons. People here on the forums say you can't but that doesn't make any sense.
