Are you talking about iPhoto or Photos? If Photos, do you mean that Photos has several files for the same person but they are labeled differently and you are trying to merge them as one? If so, then you have to rename one of the files to match the other one with the correct name. If this is not what you mean then could you explain more clearly what you mean. To give an example if I click on Faces and Photos shows me all named faces in the top and on the bottom there are suggested faces that can be dragged onto a face in the top level to merge. If you try to merge two face groups in the top level that are the same person but for some reason the faces are labeled differently you have to label them with the name you want to use and then they will automatically merge.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I have been using FF 3.6.16 for 6 months or so and now am trying to upgrade to FF 4.0 to use the synch feature with an ipad. How do I find out if I have a FF acount? Is using FF synonomous with having an account?

If you haven't already used Firefox Sync, you don't have a Sync account.
If all you want to do is use Firefox Sync, you can install the Firefox Sync extension into Firefox 3.6.x versions. <br />

Guys, the new update is driving me crazy! I can't even delete and reinstall apps because it keeps crashing when I hit the install button. DO SOMETHING!!

We here are not employees or representatives of Apple. We are all users like yourself.
Two things that might help. Reset all your settings and reset the phone. Use the Settings app to reset all settings. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that helps.
You might also let us know the specific problems you have, what you've done to correct them and what, if any error messages you have received. With that info someone here might be able to help you.

The majority of people with app hacks (not sim card hacks) are reporting the update will only restore your iPhone to factory settings, removing your ringtones and other apps.
This is not to say that you will have a similar experience. The update may disable your phone, as it has been shown to disable even "virgin" in a few cases.
The safest bet will be to do a full restore back to factory before updating. At least then if you have issues you shouldn't be a position of them denying a warranty claim.

I have tried to install the new update and i have lost everything on my phone and just asks to plug into itunes. I have finally downloaded the new update and I now have nothing on my phone no apps no nothing even tho it was restored from the back up i did yesterday? Any ideas how to resolve this without downloading everything again. I have the Iphone 4s 64GB which was full (so a LOT on there)

What were you backing up to? Your computer or iCloud? All of your apps and media should already be in the iTunes library on your computer. You should just be able to re-sync them if all else fails.

First, create a separate login on your computer for your friend. Do this BEFORE you do anything else. Next, make sure iTunes is up to date. Then:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under Preferences>Devices in iTunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book, iCal) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect her phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on her phone will be in her itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore her itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding her contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go.
