HT4641 how to install Krutidev hindi font in pages?

I have downloaded the pages for opening of the hindi text MS document which came to me by email as attachment, but still I am not able to read/edit file which are having Hindi krutidev font from MS word format.
Kindly suggest me with the any addtional font support or downloading additional hindi fonts in pages apps.
Dr. Rajat Sharma

Apple only supports Unicode Hindi.  It looks to me like krutidev may be an old non-standard font that maps devanagari to Latin characters.  Is that what you see in the document?   I think you will need to find some other kind of device or machine to read such things.
If you still want to try to install the font, see

    "Font Manager". What do you like best?
    In my opinion, the only two worth considering are Suitcase Fusion 3, or FontExplorerX Pro.
    You're correct. Can you tell me more about "resource fork"
    All Mac files have two parts. A data fork, and a resource fork. Also known as A and B. To make that easier to understand, DOS/Windows only has a data fork for each file or folder. All information is written into one location for that item. Macs have two separate file data parts for each file or folder. Normally, the data is in the data fork (the main body of an image, Word document, etc.). The resource fork is normally used for the desktop icon, file and creation dates, and other simpler metadata.
    However, Type 1 fonts and older Mac legacy TrueType fonts had pretty much everything in the resource fork, including the font's binary data. So if the resource fork gets stripped, you end up with nothing left but a file name. As a related example, Apple's .dfont stands for "Data Fork Font". With the now rather obvious meaning the the font's binary data in is the data fork instead of the resource fork.
    An easy way around the problem is to take a Mac formatted flash drive and copy the fonts onto that drive directly from the Mac the fonts are on. Then copy them onto the new Mac from the flash drive.

  • How to install Adobe Hypatia Fonts in Windows 8?

    I recently downloaded the Acrobat software and am entitled to a free gift after registering the product. I opted for free download of the Adobe Hypatia Font Family.  However, the installation instructions did not include how to install the fonts in Windows 8. Can someone kindly guide me through the process? Many thanks.

  • How to install Type 1 fonts into JRE?

    I am trying to generate Type 1 font postscript file by java. And I have successfully installed Type 1 fonts in both Windows and Linux operation system. But when I use following Java code to display the available system fonts, there are no Type 1 fonts displayed.
    GraphicsEnvironment ge = GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment();
    Font[] fonts = ge.getAllFonts();
    for (int i = 0, length = fonts.length; i < length; i++) {
    System.out.println(fonts.getName());
    Then I copied all the Type 1 fonts to JRE/lib/fonts dir and modified the fonts.dir to append Type 1 fonts information. But preceding java code returns the same result to me, also no Type 1 fonts displayed.
    How can I install Type 1 fonts into JRE?
    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum McDermottPhotography,
    You will need to download and install the ttf (true type font again) on your new machine. I am not sure if the following is the font that you are referring to, but here is one named similiarly http://www.fontpalace.com/font-details/Chisel+Thin+Normal/.

  • How to add missing garamond font in pages on ipad2

    Hi,
    Just wonder if anyone might be able to help me out. I have recently downloaded pages on my iPad2 running on IOS5 because I'd like to be able to use it to work with word documents. I noticed that in pages, there is no garamond fonts from the font drop-down list. Is there any way I can insert the garamond font into pages?
    The other things I have noticed from working word documents in pages is when it comes to bullet points in the content, it actually adds more space between lines of text. Because I was playing to see if I can open and edit word docs from pages and send them back to my PC which has got microsoft word 2010. When I compared them, there were a slightly different in the document (before and after). Apart from the bullet points issue, I do not see anything else that may cause discrepancies.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    You can't add fonts to the iPad. Sorry.

  • How to install third party fonts into Photoshop CS6 cloud?

    Hi, in need of assistance.  My previous version of PhotoShop was CS5, and I have my photography logos created using the font "chisel thin".  Now that I have a new macbook pro laptop and am also now using the cloud version of PhotoShop CS6, when I open my saved logos on the cloud, it does not recognize the font "chisel thin"?  So, is there a way to download the "chisel thin" font so it is available for me to use on the cloud?  If so, how do I go about doing it?  I'm not super tech savy, so clear, exact detailed instructions on how to download / update the "chisel thin" font would be very much appreciated!
    Thanks for your help,

  • How to install both infinality-fonts and google-fonts?

    I would like to install (one of the) google-fonts AUR packages, but it conflicts with infinality font packages.  Is there a way to only install the fonts from the google-fonts package which don't already exist in infinality versions?

    karol wrote:Maybe you can just 'rm -rf' the fonts that are already provided by infinality font packages?
    It's a bit complicated. I checked to see if the otf-google-fonts-hg package would work as none of infinality-bundle-fonts are OTF. Nope. bohoomil has conflicts for all sorts of packages and the font names aren't obvious:
    ~ > pacman -Qi ttf-chromeos-ib | egrep "Name|Conflicts"
    Name : ttf-chromeos-ib
    Conflicts With : otf-google-fonts-hg ttf-google-fonts-git ttf-google-fonts-hg ttf-chromeos-fonts ttf-chromeos-extra-fonts
    There is no font by that name in the otf-google-fonts-hg package; it's an infinality font meta-package.

  • How to install Arno Pro Font?

    Where can I get Arno Pro Font?

    There are usually clone versions of fonts or cheap knock off versions by alternate companies.
    Again you would have to search as I don't know of any for Arno Pro, which btw ships with Adobe CS software.
    As a lover of fine typography, and designer of a number of fonts myself, I appreciate the work that goes into type design. If this is what you want and you need the extended chaarcter sets and nice optical sizing you have to pay.

    Change one word in a footnote
    Select that word

    Nobody here has any way to tell you that, and Apple itself never provides this kind of info.  Make sure you tell them you want it here:

  • How to install fonts from CS3 into CS5?

    At work I often need the font DIN which was installed with our version CS3. At home I have CS5 and I do not know how to install the needed fonts. I packed the relevant file with the fonts and other links into a directory but how can I install the fonts at my personal computer using Windows. When using a Mac it was quite easy to install the font, I just click at the font within the directory "fonts" and with another click on "install" I got the font. My PC however asks me which programme I want the file to open with - but which one should it be? It can't be Word, Photoshop, IrfanView or whatever. So what do I do? Can anybody please help me?

    Well.. there are many different kinds of font files out there. Some of them advertise the type of font in the filename, e.g.
    DINBold.otf
    DINBold.ttf
    DINBold.pfm
    DIN.dfont
    DIN.ttc
    and so on.
    Others, typically Mac fonts, don't have a file extension that tells us what kind of file it is. Of those Mac fonts, there's one kind that you can't use on Windows at all, because when you look at it in Windows the size is zero kilobytes. The fact that, at some point in the past, you moved a file from Mac to Windows without font problems does not make a platform-compatibility problem any more or less likely - perhaps it was all set in fonts you already had installed at home. The fact that right now it doesn't work in the Document Fonts folder makes me believe that you may have a Mac font resource fork problem - that's what would make the filesize 0k. If your fonts don't have file extensions (or if you have file extensions hidden by Windows, which is the way Win7 works by default) then you can't really know what kind of font file it is. Looking at the Properties of the font file will tell you, though.
    Lastly: since you don't own an (extra) license for the font, you'd be ripping off the font developers by installing it on your home computer, although obviously not intentionally.
