Yes, as long as you save them in .doc format.

I have a new Canon 70D.  If I upgrade to photoshop elements 12 will I be able to import raw files using this camera without using plug ins.  It would not import raw files off a 70D in elements 11 but would for my older ?Canon 60D.  Has this been corrected??

Well if you are still seeking the link, here is it:

    Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5645
You can convert a whole folder of raw images in one click. See this quick video tutorial:

And yes, you will be able to work upon these images in PSE12 using ACR 8.2

  • ACLs and editing XML files using OEM

    Hi,
How to edit the registered schema file using OEM?
I tried, but did not allow to edit.
What previliges do a user need to update? In my case, even the user with DBA, XDBADMIN roles can not edit the content of the schema in OEM. Is it possible?
In case of acls, there are four xml files. Are they assigned to resources or is it possible to assign them to users as well?
I mean to say is it possible that different users have diifernt access to resources?
    Thanks.

    Hi
It is not possible to update a schema via OEM.
The only way (except via SQL) is to use an editor that supports WebDAV.
Notice that no schema evolution is supported in 9i, i.e. you should have no types or tables that depend from it.
In the ACL you can specify which user or role has access to the resource associated to it.

  • How to install Apache Open Office on Yosemite 10.10.1

I had a MacBook Air late 2008 and it was destroyed by a mean person, now I have a late model MacBook 2009 and updated everything, but I cannot figure out how to load Apache Open Office. It keeps giving me a warning that the security system won't allow anything that is not made by Apple or has its approval or something, but it worked on the 2008 Mac and it worked awesomely! Why can I NOT find anything about it now that I have Yosemite , which is also hard to remember to spell! Any suggestions would be super appreciated especially if they work!!

    Thank you so much!
I didn't set up my first Mac, the '08, but after I learned how easy it seemed to be compared to Windows, I was a "convert" - not that I was pro-Windows, I didn't know there was anything else-  then had to go to a Windows 8.1 for a couple weeks and wow, lot of new stuff but interesting & so different that maybe I'd be more prepared if they'd changed the name, like Panes or Blocks, ect., instead of Windows!
However, coming back to the Mac, it took a little time to get reacquainted, which was't much because my first one rarely needed me to do anything, unlike while I was on Windows just those 14 days of use was frustrating, continual maintenance stuff & I just want to use the thing, not keep it running all the time, but I managed to learn to operate it fairly well, - didn't want to waste the money & be stuck w/it, so thank God for 14 day money back guarantees! I took that money back and added a few bucks more and have quality, the Cadillac of Computers!
All I needed next was Open Office and I can begin my new business I am starting!
    THANK YOU PHIL0124!!!

The PPTX file type is primarily associated with 'Power Point' by Microsoft Corporation.
This is the new format for Microsoft Office documents.
It is a combination of XML architecture and ZIP compression for size reduction.
To open Office 2008 for Mac documents (format .xlsx, .docx, .pptx) in Office for Mac 2004, you must download and install the Open XML File Format Converter. This article describes how to obtain and install the Open XML File Format Converter for Mac.

Go to your Control panel and then look at "Programs" and click on Uninstall programs and from there scroll down to the Open Office program and click on it and uninstall it.

My eyes just glazed over...Please in the future break down each of your issues with paragraphs separated by two carriage returns. It would be much easier when trying to address your issues.
Go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse -> Mouse
And edit your mouse settings to do what you want it to do.
Secondly, this is not the place to vent. If you have a complaint, there is:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
    or http://www.apple.com/contact/
We are just end users here helping other end users.
Third, from my understanding, it would appear you are concerned about the noise the hard drive makes when it falls asleep? Why not put your machine in screen saver mode instead? Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Energy Saver turn off all Energy Saver settings, or set them to run Never.
Fourth, if your machine was purchased just a few days ago, you may still be able to get an exchange from the store, quicker than you can get a repair done. You may want to look into that possibility.
Fifth, it does appear you found the Logic forum. I would persist in asking there how to solve your technical issue with Logic regarding the audio. It may be you don't have to do anything special to the hard drive. Remember audio can be transmitted by wire, avoiding ambient sounds.
    Good luck!

  • RE: Importing a class CEX file using TOOL

What exactly are you trying to do when you say "import"? I can think of
    two possibilities:
    1. You simply want to import the text of the file, in which case
you can use Forte's File class.
    2. You actually want to load the class definition and instantiate
an object based on that class. If so, you will need to deploy the class
in a library and use Forte's dynamic class loading and instanceAlloc().
This is well documented in the Forte manuals.

    Hello,
I don't know about any forte classes to do the job.
But, if it just automating the imports that you are concerned with
then you can accomplish it using fscript.
For eg. in UNIX machines you can write a shell script to go through
a directory, get all files with .cex extension and call fscript which
would open a workspace/repository and do an import plan.
    Hope this helps

    Hi Chris,
The goal that I want to achieve is this: at runtime, read a CEX file from
my filesystem and "import class" it into my workspace. It is equivalent to
invoking the menu item "Component,Import Class/Interface".
Basically I am generating hundreds of TOOL classes and I don't want to
manually import them myself. I am aware of the Forte Code generator, but
the classes I wish to generate are much too complex for the generator (I
want virtual attributes based upon NonKeyAttributes, with their own Set and
Get methods, as well as methods with changing/variable parameters -
something I believe that the generator cannot handle).
    Cheers,
    Geoff Whittington

How to fix file when it says, "Cannot open file " ". Adobe Indesign does not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file may be missing, or file may be open in another application." It worked one second, I saved and closed the file, then tried to reopen and now it won't work. I am using Adobe InDesign CS5. It is the only version on my comp. I have tried opening on another comp & copying the file – same error comes up. PLEASE HELP

First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).
    You can find it here:
    [Ann] Identify Your InDesign File
If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
    CS7 = CC v9
    CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1

2.0.H.1. I have verified that I am using the correct .edf file when I
    do my environment rebuild.

    Sanchez,
    Try this simple escript:
    findactenv
    exportenv
    exit
Note that this will only export the active environments - no
    simulated
    environments will be exported.
It's also a good idea to rebuild your environment repository
    every now and
then. How often you do it depends partly on how many and how
    often you do
deployments, installations, or other changes to the environment.
    However,
once a month is not a bad starting point.

    Hi Forte Users,
Would anyone know how to import a class CEX file using TOOL code? Is there
a class in one of the libraries that I can use to do such a task?
If anyone has some insight into such an endeavor (positive or negative)
    please respond!
As well, I would like to express my appreciation for this mailing list - it
has carried some excellent Forte dialogue.
    Thanks for all your help!

    Hi Daniel,
How can you use RpClean on an environment repository
which is C-tree ? (Or is there a way to store it as B-tree
    with Forte R3 ?)
Note also that your Name Server performances may be
    dramatically impoverished after several applications
install/uninstall (say 8 or 10), once your Env. Mgr repository
has grown pretty big. The only way to recycle it is then to restart
it from an export file with the -b option.
    Please let me know,
    Vincent

    Hi,
It is normal. The Export of the Environment only contains node
    definitions.
You should also loose your partitioning definition in your Workshop.
Have you tried the RpClean on the environment repository ?
I would use the export file only after a crash of the environment on
    production
site or restart from a backup of the environment repository without
    the
    user
    connexions.
    Hope this helps,
