Are you try to backup the iPod to iCloud?
Or are you trying to restore the iPod from the iCloud backup?
What "reset" did you do?

I am having trouble backing up to the cloud. I have called Apple support and they tried to help. I turned most apps off, did a reset of wifi, tried doing it by plugging into wall, but it kicks off. Any other suggestions?

Try deleting your last backup and try backing up again. If that fails, You may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again. If it succeeds, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is preventing the backup and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again. If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again. If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails. Eventually you'll be able to locate the offending app and exclude it from your backup. If it's the camera roll that's the problem, import your photos and videos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and delete them. If you want some of them on your phone again, put them in a folder and sync them back to your phone by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing. Hi you are not going to believe this but under "ringer and alerts" I decided to increase the level of sound (was set half way) once I did that it was like it "released" it!! The cover now clicks off even when I returned setting back to original place.

Open Finder and locate the following folder:
HD > User > Library > Application Support > Skype
Delete the file shared.xml.
Restart Skype.

Which model Macbook Pro do you have? If you really have a Macbook, post in their forums. Macbook Pro and a Macbook are 2 different type of computers.
It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.

HP support assistance keeps shutting down when I try to open it.

When I try to open HP Support Assistant I continurally get a message that it has stopped working and windows is trying to find the cause. On some other programs the message says that internet explorer has stopped working etc. I have done malware and virus scans and adwcleaner, but still unable to get certain programs as they keep stop working.

How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
I understand that the HP Support Assistant and other programs will not open. You have checked for viruses and malware but it did not help.
You can try this step as it will scan for corrupted files and try to repair them
Go to the command prompt and run as administrator
Type sfc /scannow and press enter
Wait for it to complete.
If this has not helped you can try uninstalling the HP support assistant and reinstalling it.

You could also do a restore back to a known good time. Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7)
If the issue should still remain, I suggest doing a recovery back to factory.

During the recovery there is an option to backup your personal data to prevent data loss. If you have not done one recently I suggest you do one now.

Idvd keeps unexpectedly closing when i try to open it

can anyone help me? everytime I try to open Idvd it just says that it has quit unexpectedly

Try trashing iDVD's preference file (plist). With iDVD closed,
Find the file via this pathway: Home folder(YourUserName)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.idvd.plist
Drag this plist file to the trash. Don't worry iDVD will create a new fresh one when you relaunch it
Reopen iDVD
See if it works.
If not, post back for more help.

My ipod keeps turning off when i try to restore it from iCloud

I reset my ipod last night because i wasnt able to delete photos and thats what another community suggested i did. But now everytime i try to back it up using iCloud it turns off then turns back on again and i have to restart the process of naming my language, country, etc. I have started the process over about 5 times already so i just decided to come here to see if someone could help.

My apps keep having errors when I try to open them

When ever I try to launch a app a error sign will appear for certain apps

Which error message is showing?
Have you tried a reset (different from just restarting)
Hold down on both the Home button AND the Sleep/Wake button for about 10 seconds until you get to the black screen and see the Apple logo. Then let go of both buttons. This "reset" fixes a lot of weird iPad issues and might fix yours.
After restarting, try running the update. If it still doesn't run, try the steps in this support article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398

Excel keeps creating copies when I try to open a file

This is new, we cliked on the file to open it and it opens a copy that it just created. If we close it, we can then open the copy without it creating another copy.
We also tried to right click on the file's name and then click on open and it still creates a copy that it opens.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Just purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro and it keeps shutting down when I try to open it.

Were you able to activate the product post purchase ? Try the following step and advise if this was able to resolve the query for you or not.
1) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache and rename SLCache to SLCache_Old.
2) Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore and rename this to SLStore_old
Post doing the above, launch Acrobat and try to activate the product.
NOTE: If you have any other application installed on the machine, the above step would remove the activation for those products as well and convert them to a trial version.

and makes the cd drive startup sound.

Sounds like that application is not compatible with Snow Leopard....check with the manufacturer if you can for an updated version.
