i just upgraded my mac and i want to change my track pad gestures back to how they were because im not used to swiping up for the page to go down and swiping down for the page to go up. someone help me change this please!!!

Settings-trackpad-scroll and zoom, and deselect the top option "scrolling: natural".

I use itunes now for all music media, and have gone to the extraordinary pains of sorting and importing all of my music so that it is now all digitally stored...
The curious thing is that in itunes, it reports some track lengths as being way longer than they actually are. It doesn't affect the playback, it just looks wrong in the listing in the library - for example - the U2 album, 18 singles, has some ridiculously long track lengths - like track 2 - Beautiful Day, which itunes says is 19:22 minutes. It plays normally, and ends after about 4 mins as it should, but is there a way to manually edit track length times?
I've tried fiddling with the Get Info tab - "options" where you have the start and stop times, but this doesn't make any difference at all to the track lengths as listed in the main library. Any ideas?

Most likely you converted these songs to MP3 VBR (Variable Bit Rate) using a program that does not properly set the VBR tags.

It seems that Itunes sorts albums by Artist then Album... How can you change sort order to Album name only.

I've been playing with this and discovered it has to do with your personal ratings (ie stars) for albums and songs - seems iTunes now selects the highest rated album to use for the Artist icon. If you have no ratings it seems (but not always) to select the most recent album/song to use fo rthe display.
I've been able to get iTunes to use specific album artowk by rating both the album and all individual tracks as 5 star. You may need to restart iTunes for the changes to take effect.
But I'd be much happier just telling iTunes which image to use - like we used to be able to do. Yet another step backwards for iTunes 11 (one of many).

The new iTunes 12 Get Info dialog lacks right-click context menus (at least for now) but it still accepts most standard keyboard shortcuts and drag & drop actions.
Delete Artwork
On the artwork tab of Get Into, tap the image in question, use Backspace or Ctrl+X. Delete doesn't work.
Or, tap the image at the top left of Get Info, this time use Backspace or Delete, it is Ctrl+X that doesn't work.
Add Artwork
Select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the centre of the Artwork tab, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the small image area at the top left, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, you can drag & drop to, or sometimes from, the same locations.
You can also copy artwork from the Get Info dialog to Windows Explorer with the keyboard shortcuts.
If the source image is on a web page right-click and use Copy Image rather than copy. (With Chrome I get a one pixel wraparound so tend to go for a temporary local copy anyway - not sure whose bug this is, but it isn't new.)
If you have multiple images embedded drag the one you want to be the primary artwork to the leftmost position.

The top left image box can be used to add or delete art from multiple tracks. In either case all existing artwork in all tracks is replaced/removed.

Duplicate the audio once editing is done. In the Mixer window, apply the Fill Left effect to one audio track, and the Fill Right effect to the other. Then adjust the mixer appropriately.

Highlight song, press function key f2, edit name, press enter.
You can edit other fields by clicking twice in them slowly, click too fast and iTunes will play the track
Or you can highlight one or more songs and either right-click and choose Get Info, or press ctrl-i to bring up a dialog box for editing properties.
iTunes won't let you edit properties of tracks that are read-only or for which your account does not have write permissions. See this post if that applies.

If, however, you want to change the size of the display of the menubar, meaning make the icons and text larger, there is no way to do that directly other than to change the resolution of the screen.
You can change the as-viewed size of that temporarily by using either -
• Mouse zoom - if you have a Magic Mouse (Apple wireless mouse), hold down the Control key and use the scroll up and scroll down finger gestures on the mouse.
• Zoom - go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing and turn on Zoom. You can also use the noted keyboard shortcut to enable/disable this Zoom feature.

The track pad on macbooks and MBPs seems large enough to at least attempt the gestures. Does 10.5 support track pad gestures for all macbooks or is this a program unique to the MBA

Sorry Doc, The trackpad on the MPA is different. I wish it was just a software issue!!! But those gestures are unique to that trackpad and will not be available on existing MBP.....
But I think you and myself are thinking we would like to have that technology and probably thousands of other Mac users...so don't be surprised to see this in future Mac offering. That is, of course, if it works and users start raving about it!!!
