HT4743 movie purchased on apple TV no longer shows up in purchased

I purchased Puss in Boots several months ago and, out of the blue, it is no longer in my purchased list on AppleTV, yet still shows up in iTunes on my computer. Please advise how to get it back onto my Apple TV, as it is no longer purchasble through Apple TV (I searched).

Seem to have fixed the problem. I read somewhere that some routers sometimes struggle to link Apple TVs to wired PCs so I bought an Apple Airport Extreme router. Job done, works perfectly. The AAE seems faster than my previous router and the ATV certainly takes far less time to acquire the library from the PC.

You can reset all of your settings for the Apple TV, which includes your account information:
The information is on page 31 of the Apple TV User Guide

You can reset all of the settings on your Apple TV to factory values.
Important: This requires you to reenter all of your network and account
information.
To reset all settings:

Apple TV no longer showing up in Itunes

I went to settings on Apple TV and tested the network, which was o.k. Apple TV is connected through an ethernet connection to a Linksys router. Apple TV no longer shows up in Itunes. An aside question relating to Itunes: In my movie library, to the left of the movie name, a circle sometimes appears. Some movies have no circles. Some of the circles which appear are solid blue, some are half blue/half white. What do these circles and color codes mean? thanks

A blue circle indicates you haven't yet watched it, a half blue circle that you have started to watch it but didn't finish it.

Apple Mail no longer showing unread messages in dock

Apple Mail no longer shows unread e-mails in my dock. I recently upgraded to 10.8.4. The program is running and I have tried the various "Dock Unread Count" settings in Preferences. I have also rebuilt the library envelope index files to no avail. I have a lot of rules and over that I use to put e-mails in various folders - is it possible that the rules are interefering with the dock count even though they didn't under 10.7?

In System Preferences > Notification Center, select Mail in the left hand column, and check the box, "Badge app icon" toward the bottom on the right.

HT4743 Movie Purchases not displayed in "Purchases".

Some of my movie purchases are not appearing in "Purchased" on my Apple TV.
Any idea how to fix this?

The only thing I'd check is the account that purchased the content is the one that is signed in to the Apple TV. Barring that, then I would suggest letting iTunes know via the steps in this article:

HT201272 i rented 3 movies yesterday and they are no longer showing on my rentals section?? I went under purhcased and they aren't showing there either but it is showing that i paid for them...any suggestions??

I rented 4 movies yesterday but only 1 is now showing on my rental list, i went to re-download but it is not showing them under purchased. It does show that i paid for them all...any suggestions??

Delete the references to them in the iTunes library, and then download them.

Apple TV no longer shows up in Win7 iTunes

I have a Windows 7 PC which I use as my main media storage computer. In the living room I have an Apple TV Gen 2, linked by wifi to my router, which in turn is linked by a powerline connector and a 5-port hub to the Win 7 PC. Until about ten days ago I could stream music, video and photos from my Win 7 PC to my ATV, no problem. Now, something has changed and it no longer works.
What no longer works:
- iTunes on Win7 PC no longer finds the ATV
- ATV no longer sees the iTunes library on the Win7 PC
- Remote on the iPhone and iPad no longer find the iTunes library on the Win7
What does work:
- Remote on the iPhone and iPad find the ATV
- ATV retrieves stuff from the internet, no problem
- iPhone and iPads sync to the Win7 machine, so iTunes is on the network and available via the router's wifi
- Airplay from iPhone to ATV
- iTunes on my MBA, when it's on the same wifi as the ATV, shows up and works
Any ideas? I've restarted everything, reinstalled iTunes, checked that the software on every device is up-to-date. No luck so far.

HT204291 Apple TV no longer shows up in Airplay on my iPad but still works on my iPhone

Up until the last few days i could watch using my iPad stuff on my Apple Tv in the family room. Today, on both iPads i can no longer connect. I am running the latest versions of software on the mac, itunes and ipad, and apple tv.
This is a bit frustrating, and problem solving apple incompatibilities is becoming a full time job for me. Very sad.
Does anyone else have the same issues?

Yep totally agree. I have also been on the phone with Apple for over an hour and am expecting a call back shortly. I found one thing though and that is if I turn off all but the one apple Tv I want to use it works. It seems Mirroring has disappeared too. with the last update to my iOS for the iPad it now only allows one Apple TV at a time. I will post what the result is as soon as I find out what is happening.

Any setting in apple tv where I can set it to continually play shows that I purchase on iTunes.

Apple tv no longer showing when powered off

I just updated my apple tv a couple days ago and now unless I power the apple tv on separately, it does not show up in itunes or my wireless devices' remote app. Once I power it up, everything is fine but it used to show up even when it was off (thus I could actually turn it on with itunes or the various remote apps).
Any ideas?

I've noticed this as well. There have been a lot of funky issues with this latest software update. Are you connecting to the router via ethernet or Wi-Fi? I am connected via ethernet and it's the same as you describe.

Anyone know why my 1st generation AppleTV's (2) are no longer showing up in itunes? I used to be able to see them and could tell when they are syncing. Now they no longer dowload content either.

When i buy something on my apple tv it dosent show up!?!

Just recently when i try and buy a tv episode or a movie on my apple tv they dont show up. the only way i can watch it is if i push play instead of menu when the apple tv says its ready. After the movie or episode is done, whatever i just watched is gone. I go back to the episode it says i already bought it but wont let me watch it again. What is going on with this thing???....PLEASE HELP!!!

Updated Apple TV yesterday, purchased 4th episodes of Good Wife and after watching it dissapear! Wanted today to watch again, it is in the list but needed to buy again! After trying couple of time alternatives I buy it again and same thing happened!! If I want to watch again I need to buy it! Again!!
First three episodes witch I buy under old operating system are there and there are no any problem with them!
Did Apple start charging per view??

The icon for Airplay no longer shows up when I hit the button at the bottom of the homepage. It previously did. Same thing for my iPad.

The indicator of airplay for Apple TV no longer shows up as a choose at the scroll up tab at the bottom of the screen

Make sure your phone is running the same iOS or higher as the one you backed up. If not, first update the phone. Then try restoring the backup again by going to Settings>General>Reset and tapping Erase All Content and Settings. This will bring you back to the setup screens where you will be given the option to Restore from iCloud Backup again.

My Apple TV is not showing any of the movies or TV shows that I purchased. They used to be there under the "Purchased" section of movies and TV shows, but now the list is empty. How can I get them to show up again?

You may want to make sure that your device is still associated with your Apple ID:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
