With Lion there is no "save as" so how can I file a document in two locations?
Also, how can I label and file a screen shot as a J-peg?

Duplicate and save the duplicate where you want to.
Open screen shot in Preview > name & save as jpg (double click it, should open in preview automatically)

When i try to restore my Back up using Itunes this is the message i get - "Unable to restore backup as the software is old - Please setup as a new device and then try to restore your backup" - Please advise. If i do so are there any chances of loosing my data. At this point in time i would be happy if i could just retreive my contacts list. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

Ok so sorry for clogging the community!! I figured it out - you have to copy your videos into itunes manually. I did that, synched and all good!

Select the photos in iTunes and sync again.
Connect the iPad to your PC.
Launch iTunes.
Click on your iPad under the devices heading on the left sidebar of iTunes.
Click on the Photos Tab in the iTunes window on the right.
Select the folder from which you want to sync.
Select any sub folders within the main folder that you want to include in the sync.
Make sure that the Sync Photos heading is checked.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.

All apps that you have purchased or downloaded are tied to the apple id/email that you use to buy it. That's why it is showing your old email when you are trying to update the app.

Have them install Quicktime on their PC's from Apple's website, that's the easiest fix.

How do I scan a document with multiple pages into one file? My old printer (psc 2110) asked after each scan if I wanted to scan another page. At the end I had one pdf file with multiple pages.
This new one creates one file for each page and I cannot find a way to create one pdf file with multiple pages.

Hi mpw101,
If you load the papers into the ADF - Automatic Document Feeder, and then select Document to PDF then they will all be scanning into one file. Let me know if this works for you?

Yes sir. It w was really hard to explain. It is discontiguous segments that are separated by transparent areas. And I want those non transparent areas to be on their own layer. I have a photo shop file that has a bunch of buttons on them and they are on a transparent background. It is one layer. I want to select all the buttons and put them on their own layers. I can do this manually by selecting a button and cmd Just to a new layer, but when I have 200 buttons it is a daunting task.

This is another solution. Suppose your actual table's name is test(which has the redundant data). create a table like this:

If you have a huge amount of data in your original table this solution may take a long time to do what you need.
