HT4759 Apple Engineering has been unable to solve "Error 0x80040604". It has been 9 calendar days. I cannot sync with Outlook with contacts and calendar. I see where others are having same problem. Is there a solution?
Has any of the Error 0x80040604 problems been solved? The onlt response I get is"Apple Engineers are working on it" I am dealing with a Senior Tech. Should I go to someone higher?
The sync with Outlook contacts abd Calendar was working well for 6 months. I have iphone4 and mini ipad connected to the iCloud.. My " bandaid "is to only use the iphone 4 for contacts and calendar events.
Is their another Cloud I can use?
I have found a solution to this problem.
FYI - Blackberry cannot sync to Outlook if Outlook is in "Click to Run" mode. Follow the link below for instructions on how to install a full version of Office 2010.

Unable to hotsync Centro with Palmdesktop for Contacts and Calendar items.
I cannot hotsync my Centro Contact and Calendar items with the Desktop for more than 3 months even with the help of the Palmone support team.
I tried many version of the Palmdesktop,v4.1.4,v4.14e,v6.2 with no avail. No help from DBfixit program. Only backup and Memo data can be transferred to the PC. The hotsync failed to finish the complete backup for unknown reason.
Can any expert user help? I must use the same User Name as I have a lot of third party program installed.

I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. Okay, so I cracked my iPhone 5 and just got a new 5s in the mail. I'm using the same number, sim and everything. My latest backup was on March 14th, 2013. My boyfriend uses my Apple ID for a year now but we just recently got each others contacts and now we receive each other's messages. Will we lose that setting if I don't back my phone up before switching new phones? Cause I didn't have that setting before when it was last backed up. If I could back it up I would but I don't have nearly enough storage so that's why I'm asking lol. We want to keep the setting like that so we still get each others contacts and everything
You can always resync the Contacts, Notes, and Messages by signing into those services with the same AppleID once you have the new phone set up.

The activation server is gone for AA7, but not AA8 as understand it. You will need to do the updates for AA8 to be effective on Win7. It is questionable that it will run on WIn8 (I have no clue for a MAC).
Your conversation is an example of how many of us got here in the first place. It is fantastic that you were able to hold on and get the problem resolved. Not exactly sure of the solution, but there does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel for folks. Normally, with activation problems like yours, we recommend calling Adobe Support for them to reset the activations. I was just wanting to get a heads up about AA8 on the newer systems. Folks have been successrul on Win7 with the updates, but the results for Win8 are still not known in general. There have been some suggestions, but nothing more. As long as it works for you that is great. For our info, what OS are you running? -

I pulled this part out of one of the topics Barney-15E linked to. It absolutely works! The glacially slow Finder response has been driving me batty in Mavericks. Each time I restarted, it would take forever to list the startup drive when I opened it. Open and Save dialogues were also painfully slow to respond. Now they all snap open and list instantly. I used TextWrangler to comment out the line in the file auto_master, then ran the automount command in Terminal.
Working workaround:
Use the following statements in Terminal.
sudo vi /etc/auto_master
In this file comment out /net with # (#/net .....)
sudo automount -vc
Fixed.
Confirmed here too both for Preview.app Open file sluggishness and Finder window population. Thanks Snaggletooh_DE!
Couple of notes:
(1) Some folks may be more comfortable using a GUI editor like TextWrangler instead of vi
a) in the Finder use the GO menu and select Go to Folder
b) type '/etc' ( without single quotes ) in the Go to folder dialog box and press the Go button
c) Right ( Control ) click the auto_master file in the resulting Finder window. Select "Open with...." and use TextWrangler ( your choice )
d) Comment out the line by inserting a '#' ( pound sign ) as noted in Snaggletooth_DE's instructions
e) Save the file ( probably need to authenticate with your admin password )
f) Do the 'sudo automount -vc' per Snaggletooth_DE's instructions. Will need to authenticate again.
(2) Notice Snaggletooth_DE described this as a "workaround" because it bypasses an Apple bug. Presumably most people have not changed their auto_master file and it worked fine in Mountain Lion and prior. In other words: If you haven't done so already, please continue to submit feedback and bug reports to Apple for this issue.
Kudos to Snaggletooth_DE for figuring out code is trying to look at network ( NFS ) volumes that maybe don't exist. -

In PC I have changed the default app location from (c:/users/username/My Music/iTunes) to other (d:iTunes) and copied the previous content to new location and changed the Default location in Edit preference. Now in iTunes, my previous apps are not visible. Is there any solution to this?

I am having same problem with apple tv need 4.4 version and can not find solution this a brand new product out of box yesterday why would it not already have updated version.
