HT4759 cannot load email in iCloud

Hello I hope you can help.
I am having difficulty loading my email - both on the iMac and directly by Safari - Using Safari I am able to log into my iCloud account and view addresses, location etc, but when I try to acces my email it "does not load". After about 30+ seconds or a minute I get a message from Apple saying it is unable to load Mail - offering options --- report proble to Apple; Cancel, or reload.  I have tried all options several times and still cannot access the email section of iCloud. Nor can I access it from my iMac mail client.....  Help please... any ideas what is wrong what do I need to do????
Regards Colin

seems to be a server problem... MANY folks are experiencing this - including me! Mail has been down ALL day!

The SMTP server you are using with Wi-Fi would be the outgoing server of your internet service provider... this is likely why that's working.
SMTP servers specific to a ISP would not work on the 3G network. You would probably need another SMTP server. One from your cell provider?

  • IOS6. Cannot load emails!

Ever since updating to iOS6 on my iPhone 4 yesterday I cannot load emails.
It says 'Cannot Get Mail' The mail server "imap.tools.sky.com is not responding. Verify you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings.
I haven't changed any settings since updating???

I found a similar issue with a different mail carrier.  I was able to fix it by going ot Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and re-verifying the account settings as the message suggests.  Indeed, I found that SSL was turned on for my incoming mail, even though that is an incorrect setting.
Turning it off fixed my problem.

  • Still cannot send email from icloud .me address

hi. does anybody knows why i cannot send email from my ipad (ios 5.0.1) icloud me.com account? i can recieve but i cannot send. on my mac (lion) it works perfectly. the message i get is "the sender address .mac.com was rejected by the server". mac.com ?? but i use my me.com address. any ideas pls?
    thank you

I have been having the same problems for the last two days now.  It won't let me send, but it will let me save it to my drafts folder.  I even tried opening the e-mail form my iPhone 5 and it won't let me send it there either.  The last two times i ended up copying the contents from my failed e-mail on my phone and pasting that into a new e-mail and that works.  I normally use the icloud web app to reply to e-mails when i'm at work (using win 7) and it is very frustrating.

  • Cannot receive emails in iCloud Mail

I am using iCloud Mail on my iMac (Yosemite 10.10.2), iPad 2 (iOS 8.1.2) and iPhone 4 (iOS 6.1.3).
Because the iPhone is still on iOS 6, I have not enabled iCloud Drive on either the iMac or iPad.
I can send emails but cannot receive emails, except emails which I send to myself.
I have tried deleting my account and then reinstalling, to no avail.
I have also tried sending and receiving from within iCloud.com with the same results as above.
When I initially set this up, it all worked fine over the three devices.
Would really appreciate some advice to fix the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

Ok let me summazite my case :
In Office via wifi or enernet
    1. My account failed to login
    2. The other family account no issue
In Office via hotspot from my iPhone using 3G
    1. all accounts are working
At Home either wifi or 3G - No issue at all
I called Apple in Hong Kong, they said there are many users reporting the same problem, and they are investigating. Suggested me to reset the router and changing password, both do not solve .

  • HT201342 cannot get email from icloud account

Incoming email on iCloud not working all of a sudden.
Followed trouble shooting guide... not working

I assume that though your signature says you are running 10.4.8 you are actually running Lion or Mountain Lion? If so please amend the signature to prevent confusion.
Go to System Preferences>iCloud and uncheck Mail in the list there: then re-check it. This should set Mail up again to access the account. If this doesn't work, sign out completely, reboot, then sign back in again. You iCloud data will disappear from your Mac but reappear when you sign back in.

  • HT4759 cannot get into my iCloud email

    cannot get may email

Same thing here: I cannot access my iCloud e-mail. I have not been able to for the past 24 hours at least. Apple says 1.1% of users are affected <http://www.apple.com/support/icloud>. I guess we just won the lottery.
I guess also that explains why Apple discarded MobileMe and is now offering a free service. Free means there is no guarantee. The customer can be neglected. I do not recall such a long interruption in the days of MobileMe.
This long service interruption is quite annoying and raises questions about Apple services' reliability and security. I would not be surprised if, in fact, the problem was caused by Apple's servers being under attack, although Apple will most certainly deny.

  • Icloud/iphone/ipad cannot load email

have been have this problem for almost two days. but no idea how to fix this.....any help?

Same exact thing and I'm glad its not just me (but sorry for all who are experiencing it).  Maybe their mail system is down.  It'd be great if they would give us some sort of heads up.

  • Cannot send email from icloud on web.

I use icloud in Safari to manage my email.  Since yesterday each time I attempt to send an email, I receive the following:
"Cannot send message.  This message cannot be sent at this time."
I am receiving emails, just cannot send.
I've tried both Safari and Firefox.  I've tried restarting my computer.
I tried sending from both my @me and my @icloud addresses.
Lastly, I am able to send from my iphone 5.  So this appears to be isolated to the web version of icloud.
    Thank you!

  • Cannot send emails from iCloud account on any of my devices.

    Hi all,
Since last week, my iCloud account has seemed to lose the ability to send emails.
    I am using:
10.10.02 Yosemite on Macbook pro 17"
    iOS 8.1.3 iPhone 5S
    iOS 8.1.2 iPad 3rd Gen
This issue did not happen all at once, it has taken several days for the issue to spread from my iPad, to Mac and now today, my iPhone.
I have removed the iCloud account completely from all devices and deleted the data, reinstalled.
I have found some guidance around Apple Mail and SMPTE settings on the Mac, but to no avail.
I can send emails when using iCloud.com but this is useless when on the go.
Anyone else got any ideas or come across this issue?
The system service status says that it is all good.
    Thanks
    Keith

  • HT1277 Cannot send email from iCloud Mac Yosamite 10.10.1

I have not been able to send email from my account for weeks, off and on.
    I am using Safari Browser
    Mac Book Pro 17
    Yosamite 10.10.1

You should be able to send email from Safari, however I do wonder why you wish to do this and whether there is something inherently wrong with using your mail app and your iCloud address.

    Hello Karen.
Try clearing your browsing cache on Firefox: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+clear+the+cache
If that doesn't help, try deleting your email's cookies (no data will be lost): https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Deleting+cookies
If that doesn't help, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.

  • Firefox cannot load email site without failure

I try to log in to email site and receive an authentication failed message. This started happening when I updated to Firefox 5.0 and 5.0.1. The problem does not happen on Internet Explorer. I never had this problem with the previous versions of Firefox. Is there a way to fix this or go back to Firefox 4.0? I prefer to use this browser, but if the problem persists I will change to Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
