HT4759 Do I have to install iCloud before installing iTunes

I have been trying to uninstall/reinstall iTunes for two weeks. I am presently trying to reinstall all components of iTunes now. I was doing it in order. But I cannot install the version of iCloud that I had. They said to get an updated version for Windows 8. But I can't find it. How do I do that? Thank you anybody/everybody! I am presently in the process of losing my mind.

The iPad cannot install iTunes. Its preinstalled by default and part of the OS.

In any case, you do not need to install iCloud on a computer to install iTunes.
You may need a newer version of iTunes from here through:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
For iCloud on Windows you need to install iCloud Control Panel.

It is not required for iTunes however.

As of Oracle10g, they have reorganizsed their install and disk layout.
The database code and minimum configuration is installed only from disk 1, options and extensions are on the Companion CD and Client things including the 10g version of 9i Java OEM console are on the Client CD. Each is separate.

There is no need to uninstall CS3. LR5 will recognize that you already have a version of Photoshop installed. But CS3 has an older camera raw plug-in. You will simply get a warning whenever you choose Edit In CS3 from Lightroom. As long as you let Lightroom render the copy being sent to CS3, there should be no problem and it will contain all of the develop settings from LR5. Click on the Open Image button to go straight into the Photoshop CS3 editor. On the first warning about camera raw incompatibility you can choose “do not show again” Just don’t click on Open Anyway otherwise it will open in the older version of camera raw contained in CS3.

Partition with Leopard Install Disc before install on drive?

I have been trying to install Leopard but I want to partition my drive before I install so I can do a clean install and not mess up my current OS and apps.
I have been booting from the install disc and going to disc utilities to partition... it goes through the motions and tells me that is has failed... can't partition?
Shouldn't I be able to partition this way with the new disc utility? Or do I have to install leopard on a drive and partition from there (I have an external drive I may try to install on and then partition my MacBook from there?)?

Nomad, most programs require you to erase your drive when you re-partition it. I did hear about live partitioning in Leopard but I haven't read about it yet so I don't know what to tell you. There is a program that allows you to live partition. Check out this site. http://www.coriolis-systems.com/products.php. you will have to defrag the drive first.

I am running CS4 and want to run the trial version of CC to see if I want to begin a contract with Adobe. Do I have to uninstall CS4 before installing CC?

I have a lot of CS4 files on my system and don't want to loose them if I upgrade to CC trail version. I am NOT a heavy user but use it consistently through out the year to do promotion for my small business. If I decide NOT to continue with CC can I get bact to CS4?

You can have 2 versions installed aside of each other. Bot programs have their own folders. The files from CS4 can be read by the CC version. The other way around does not work for most file types. For example InDesign. To save for an older version is documented for most programs.
After CC trial / subscription removal the CS4 will stay on the system and works without issue.

iCloud was syncing fine. Installed Ofc365. iCloud wouldn't sync mail/contacts/calendar. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Ofc and iCloud several times and still no go. Is there a possibility that there are some registry entries, files or ?? that aren't getting uninstalled? What would be the way to check? Finally, am I on the right track thinking that if I could get everything cleanly uninstalled, installing a new Ofc and then iCloud might do the trick? [in another posting cSounbd mentioned checking registry entries more details on that would be helpful.

HT1420 I have tried several times to pay and download one track as I have done many times before now iTunes keeps on refusing to let me buy blurred lines single keeps on throwing security questions at me why nothing has charged for them to do this

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support. The questions should only be asked on the first purchase on a new computer or device, but other people have also posted recently about them being asked when it isn't. If you are being asked them then you will need to answer them before you can purchase.
If you can't remember their answers and you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

What directory are the RPM files in before installing Oracle?

I am getting ready to install Oracle9i and one of the RPM files is missing so I downloaded it and will copy it to CD then to the hard drive. The question is:
1) After I copy the RPM file to CD what directory do I copy the RPM file onto on the hard drive before installing Oracle?
2) What directory are the other RPM files to be installed in before installing Oracle in?

There is no specific directory for RPM packages (in case we don't talking about builded rpm packages from src.rpm packages).
You can copy RPM package to and install from any directory. After succesfull installation you can delete it.
Example:
cd /tmp

Is there any way to have photo stream to sync to my pictures folder like it did before installing iLife 11?

Hi,
Before installing iLife 11, my photo stream synced to the (Finder)Pictures- Photo Stream - which I very much liked.
Now I have installed iLife 11, iPhoto has taken over and the photos syncthere, not in the original Photo Stream folder.
Is there any way for me to revert syncing to the pictures folder ratherthan with iPhoto?
2 reasons why:
1 - I have to copy the photos out of iPhoto which is annoying, there’sno point in having a auto sync if I have to copy out of iPhoto, I might aswell becopying off my phone.
2 - photos only sync when iPhoto is open so I have to wait for them todownload whereas before they synced as I took them and when I got in, they were'just there' and now I have to wait.
If anyone can suggest a solution for me that would be great, I don’twant to remove iPhoto from my system so that’s not an option.
If there isn’t a solution, what’s Apple playing at? Surely this isfrustrating for users other than me?

There is a very long way which is removing anything related to Apple including stuff in the registry.
The short way is as follows. It worked for me.
I have seen that in the forum EXCEPT the registry trick which is missing and does the different.
1. Remove the Apple account from Outlook. In my case a me.com account.
2. Disconnect the connection to ICloud in the control panel of version 3.1.
REBOOT and open Outlook to see that all traces of the email account and of ICloud are gone.
3. Uninstall ICloud 3.1. I used REVO Uninstaller in Safe way mode. It removed some stuff in the registry from what I see; but not sure.
4. Delete as much stuff as possible in the C \Program Files (x86) \Common Files \ Apple
and C\Program Files\Common Files \Apple. My computer is 64 bits.
5. Go to the registry by typing regedit.exe or simply type regedit in the Start Box. Search for ICloud. I deleted TWO entries related to ICloud. Otherwise, you will still see the ICloud control panel despite the fact that you removed 3.1.
6. then I was able to install ICloud 4 immediately. Upon restarting it asked me my email and password and added itseft to Outlook like it was before. Be aware that you address book in Outlook could be deleted, so do an export before.

If your iPhone does not search for a wi-fi connection before you are asked whether you want to set it up as new phone or restore a backup from iTunes, then I guess you have the same issue as highlighted in this thread:

iCloud back ups can only be accessed via wi-fi that's why you are not granted this option, I have the exact same issue.
