Business accounts should not be on a free service, unless you consider them to be worthless.
What is this email that won't sync, is it an iCloud account or some other?

The questions is "Where do you get a root ca file for a verisign trial client cert?" I've looked everywere on verisign's site without luck. BEA support emailed me one but can't remember where/how they

I think that the Server Certificate Chain File Name contains a sequential list of certificates, the first of which was used to sign the cert in the "Server Certificate File Name" and the last is self-
signed (ie a root ca). There is a minimum of 1 cert required in the Server Certificate Chain File Name (which would be the self-signed cert that signed the cert in the Server Certificate File
Name file. As you walk through the certs in the Server Certificate Chain File Name each cert is expected to be signed by the following cert (if there is one) and the last one must be self-
    signed.
The Trusted CA file on the other hand is a collection of self-signed CAs on which no validation is performed and no relationship is assumed between the certs in that file. My guess is that
the code expects that each cert in the Trusted CA list is self-signed.
So the Server Certificate Chain File Name contains a chain and the Trusted CA File Name contains unordered self-signed certs.

The PEM file we grabbed from the Verisign site worked in the "Server

I'm sure I could append the "Trusted CA chain" to the PEM file that I'm
using for "Server Certificate Chain File name" and then I could use one file
    for both...
Could you post yours or send it me via Email so I can have a backup? I'd be

  • Has anyone got HK iSub v1. to work with Intel iMac?

System preferences does not see the device at all. Have tried different ports with and without USB hubs both through a Series 1.0 and Series 2.0 with no luck. Any suggestions? Or is it time to retire the thing? Pity though it sounds great and still looks good!
    Any advice appreciated.
    -RG

I had the same problem and got it straightened out at the local Genius Bar! Did you transfer your folders from a previous Mac on your Intel iMac? The prefs transferred over too and may be corrupt.
    1) Create a new user and give it admin privledges
    2) Under "Library", drag and drop the Audio (which may not be necessary) and Preference folders onto desktop.
    Log out and restart.
Log back in as yourself and let it fly! By dragging the Prefs folder onto desktop, at restart your iMac rebuilds the Prefs and overwrites previous corrupted Prefs.
Now I need to figure out why my Sony CyberShot isn't recognized on my USBs! Maddening!

  • Has anyone got an iBook G3 to work with an iPhone hotspot?

hi! First question here, and its been a real headscratcher.
I have an iBook G3 with 128bits airport card (picking up and connecting to routers no problem)
I also have an iPhone 4 which I've used as a personal hotspot, providing internet to my Macbook pro for around year.
Now as you can imagine, I've discovered that although the G3 discovered my iPhone, when i enter the password and hit connect, i get a glorious error. It say it could not connect because of a problem with encryption.
After a lot of internet research, I discovered the old, original Airport card does not support WPA2 encryption, which annoyingly is the encryption my phone uses.
Ok, so options... 1 can i upgrade this card? 2 Can I download software (3rd party?) to get around this problem? 3 Can i tell my phone to use WEP encryption? 4 Can i use an external (usb?) Wifi adapter? Ive also seen the possibility of Bluetooth or USB tethering? 5 Would a Bluetooth adapter work?
Any advice or solutions/suggestions would be incredibly welcome. As i've discovered there are a lot of questions about this online but few working solutions.
    iBook G3, 500Mhz, 256RAM, 10gb HDD

Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Question: If you have a MacBook Pro, why are you wanting the iBook G3 (which is 11 years old at this point) to work with an iPhone hotspot?
Why not just use the MacBook Pro?
That said, the MAXPower device is available at Other World Computing, if you really want to try it:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/MXP2802GU2/
And if you'd rather use a cradle instead of plugging it directly into a port:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/MXP2802NU2C/
To boost your speed a little, you may want to consider maximizing the RAM with a 512 MB module:

  • Has anyone got experience of Windows 10 please ?

    Hi,
Aplogies if this is the wrong board, I could not find a better one.   I'm sure a CL will move it if it is.
I tried a search for "Windows 10" and all it returned was a post about NetProtect.
Has anyone got experience of Windows 10 please ?   Is it better or worse than Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 ?
    Best regards,

    Wise comments, I think.
Upgrading to Vista from XP destroyed a very expensive, and powerful 3d graphics program of mine. It's going to cost another £400+ just to upgrade to the Windows 8 version.
It can be run, with considerable difficulty on Windows 7, in Windows compatibility mode.
For Windows 10, there are similar considerations.
There are posts on the Windows, or perhaps Internet Security websites, assuring us that all will be fixed on the day
Windows states that "most" programs compatible with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, will be compatible with Windows 10.
    Just wait for a while.

Has anyone got a Sony EX3 to work in this program?

    yep,
there are lots of ways to do this in logic. straight off the top of my head (so it won't necessarrily be the best way)
set your loops up in individual exs insts
transform midi note to controller 7 with a trasnformer in environment, mapped note to midi channel.
now when you hit the right key, it will turn the note into controller message to open the volume on the exs instrument with the right midi channel.
you will need a 'master' note to turn on your loops in the exs inistruments. obviously this needs to be connected outside of the transform to midi channel.
if you need to more than 16 loops, you can put a transformer before 'notes to controller 7' to split the messages by their key range. sounds complicated but is really easy, no harder in fact than programming VCR.
you will need a master instrument to run all this from in arrange. i would have used a single channel midi instrument in environemnt new>instrument.
my method will work but there maybe a way to set everything up in an exs instance, but i not sure how you would do that so it didn't retrigger rather than open up the volume on the part of the loop you want.
    my way will work though.

My apps will not download to iPad 2 This is something that has just recently happened. Have tried re-booting but that makes no difference .
Has anyone got the answer to this problem please or do I need to take it into an Apple store Thanking you.

If all of that stuff checks out - and iTunes is telling you that the apps have been downloaded to the iPad - try this.
Connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Right click on your iPad name on the left side of iTunes under devices and select Transfer Purchases from the pop up menu. Then sync with iTunes again. Don't eject the iPad yet. If you still don't see the apps on the iPad - click on the Apps Tab in the iTunes window on the right and see if they show up on any of the iPad screens. If they do - make sure that all of the apps are selected (checked) to sync - (checkmarks in the boxes next to the app names) - check to make sure that the Sync Apps heading is checked and as well and then sync again. You may have to click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes if the apps were not selected to sync.

  • Anyone got Machine 1.5 to work with Logic

    Hey all,
I've got Maschine loaded as an AU unit and it works in so far as I can hear sounds and play using Maschine. However, Logic doesn't record anything or remember anything about the state of Maschine, so it's not saving any midi or audio info.
Has anyone got Maschine working in the same way as the Ultrabeat drum sequencer? So I can create patterns on the Maschine, then trigger them via Maschine while I'm recording.
Failing that, has anyone got Maschine to actually record anything in Logic?
    Thanks

    Hey Faisal,
    I've watched the video at
    http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php#/en/products/producer/maschine/?cont ent=1150&category=1&sortby=relevance&splitscreen=1&page=1447
I can drag and drop patterns, but it's unclear whether Logic then plays that pattern or simply triggers Maschine to start playing.
I can't get Maschine to synchronise its midi as in the 'Record Events Directly into DAW' section. This might be because I can't set it up to both send and receive midi to/from Maschine. Any idea how this is done?
    Thx
    Sam

  • Has anyone found a Bluetooth Headset that works with Skype?

I have been reading reviews and I can't find anyone who has found a Bluetooth headset that successfully works with Skype with Leopard...
    anyone?

    Hi there...
I have the Jabra BT125 and I have a new Mac Book Pro on it's way. The headset is actually something I already had for my cell phone. And now I'm hoping to use it for skype as well. What I think I lack is the Blue Tooth adapter. I was looking for one that I can power via USB rather than the ones you have to charge. I also have a logitech V320 optical mouse. Do you think the blue tooth adapter can run both the mouse and the headset as not to take up too many USB ports at the same time? (I envision my computer eventually resembling that guy from He11 Raiser! with all the pins sticking out of it) Anyway... Jabra says the BT125 supports Bluetooth version 2. I'm not sure if the mouse is similar or not... (I'm actually really new to all this lingo and I just assume the wireless capability of the mouse is bluetooth... The specs say it's a "microreceiver") Any comments, experiences or suggestions are really appreciated... thanks!!!

  • Has anyone got there Nokia Email system working ?

I have the default email on my E71 working fine but the interface is nowhere near as nice as the Nokia one.
Unfortunately the Nokia one simply does not work as most people are finding.

Based on your reply i tried it again, anyway, less than 24hours into it, it has failed me again, cant send or recive.

  • Has anyone got the calendar and contact sync with MS Outlook to work?

    Office Version:Office 2007Operating System:Windows 7
I've used Outlook for several years. I use the Outlook Connector to link to my hotmail account for mail and Outlook's functionality for contact and calendaring.
Recently my appointments seem to have taken on a life of their own. After entering them they look fine but at some point the appointment title is being changed to "Private Event". I can open the appointment and it looks ok. In fact, the little lock icon for making the appointment private is not enabled so I can find no visable reason for the appointment to be marked private.
I am the only user and I have administrator rights. Also, none of my much older appointments are being changed, most of them being reoccurring appointments that haven't been opened in some time.
It looks like what you might expect if you were a delegate on an Exchange calendar. But in this case my Outlook is just a local, standalone installation with no Exchange server.
I can't be absolutely certain but I think the timing of when this started was a couple of weeks ago when I attempted to set up sync between my iPod Touch and Outlook. I never opened Outlook [that I know of] during the process. I just set the sync options in iTunes to Outlook. Nothing ever got copied over to the iPod but I think that the privacy issue began about the same time.
Any idea what may be causing this?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes thats correct & it should showup if already checked.

I have many calendars too Europe, Asia etc:

  • Has anyone got Thunderbird/Ovi sync to work?

Been trawling through posts discussing error "80043c93" when trying to sync with Thunderbird.
As they seem to mainly consist of people experiencing the issue with no feedback from Nokia, I was hoping it might be possible to find an OS/thunderbird/Ovisuite version combination that might work reasonably reliably.
Failing that, are there any plans to allow Ovisuite the old fallback of flat file import/export?
Any assistance at getting some rudimentary sync capabilities (contacts, at least) would be most appreciated - am even up for bespoke/non-nokia syncing solutions that support the E72.
    Thanks in advance.

I have a new E63 and I use Thunderbird on Windows Vista.
Trying to get any kind of sync seems impossible.
The 'PC Suite' installed, connected to the phone, and seemed to do a sync.
Despite saying things like '69 contacts synced successfully ...' - nothing had actually happened. So I tried Ovi Suite.
Nokia says you can install one over the other, so I did.
Ovi Suite installed and ran successfully but the error 80043c93 came up and ... no sync.
I uninstalled 'everything Nokia', turned off, unplugged, etc.
I then did a completely clean install of Ovi Suite from a newly downloaded copy (just in case).
    Exactly the same result.
This is categorically a major failing (bug) with the software.
The real problems, as I see it, are these:
    1) Cryptic error codes with no help or guidance in the software itself; and
    2) a seeming lack of responsiveness from Nokia themselves.
I cannot find any other sync solution at present so I shall have to abandon my efforts.
I am very pleased with my Nokia phone but it is hurt by this poor software and support.
I am not overly cynical but this 'upgrade' to PC Suite seems to be wholly geared to
leveraging cash flow from the Ovi store/library rather than helping/empowering users.
