How do you delete iclouds from an ipad purchase second hand. An error appears and says to many iclouds are associate to the device.

Unfortunately they can't be deleted. If you are getting a message saying that the maximum number of free accounts have already been used, all you can do is re-use one of the accounts previously set up, or create a new account to use on another iOS device or Mac (using OS X 10.7.2 or later), if you have one (or have a friend that does and would allow you to do this on their device).

You can cannot delete an AppleID, you just sign out of all services, stop using it, and start over with a new AppleID. If your ID is an iCloud ID it cannot be changed, see this link.

Here's how I did it:
Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars> iCloud (this had the email account that kept coming up in iCloud)
Tap on "Sign Out"
You will be given the opportunity to delete the account .... do it
Now go back to iCloud and you should be presented with a screen to login to your iCloud account. It will create an iCloud email account for you.

You cannot sync multiple iCloud accounts to one.
How have you managed to get 3 accounts? One is all you need per person.

App updates have nothing to do with the iCloud account, but if you want to delete that just go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account (this only deletes it from the phone, not from iCloud).
You're getting the prompt for the other person's password when you update apps because there must be app(s) on your phone that were purchased with their ID. (Apps and their updates are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them.) The only way to stop this is to delete this (these) app(s) from your phone (and from iTunes) and repurchase them with your ID. Aslo verify that your ID is set in Settings>iTunes & App Stores. If not, tap the ID shown, sign out, then sign back in with your ID.

You can't delete an account, you can only stop using it. If you're getting that error message you won't be able to create a new account on your device. Your only options are to re-use one of the accounts previously created, or create a new account on a different iOS device or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher), if you have one.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

You cannot delete the iCloud account that is signed on to Find My iPhone unless you know the password. This is called the Activation Lock:
ACTIVATION LOCK
It is an anti-theft security measure that is a part of iOS 7. You can only get around this by following the steps in this support article:

Contact your friend. This is the only way around the lock.

You will need the password. If you can't get it reset via http://iforgot.apple.com (if you remember the answers to the account's security questions then you should be able to reset it via them) then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset it.

you can´t delete an icloud account without using the password.
if you can confirm that your iphone is not locked to icloud device activation with this AppleID your are not aware and you have no access for - you can attempt to "erase all settings and content" on your iphone, to remove the icloud account from your iphone. all your data will be erased and iphone is set to factory settings

Hey Liz,
You should be able to sign out of an iCloud account by going to Settings > iCloud and scroll to the bottom and you will see an option to sign out the account. If you have multiple accounts, then you can go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and choose the account and scroll down to the same sign out option.
