Please, hepl, i need to load some videos from imovie but the computer says i need to upgrade my iCloud storage capacity. I did it twice before following some prompts but now its asking me again so, before geting charged 3 times in less than a month, could please somebody give some "idiot proof" tips? Thanks. Will

If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

When I go to iCloud it just promos me to register and set up. Don't seam to be a place to log in and find storage already backed up.

If so you would be better off off-loading them to your home computer if you have one.
Western Digital and probably other drive makers do off "create your own cloud" devices so you can share between multiple devices if you need it.
The "cloud" is a fluffy marketing name for a shared server - owned by another individual who has control over your information and how long it is kept.
Even Steve Wozniak doubted that that was a great idea - as in read the fine print don't just accept it.

If you are successfully getting email and syncing contacts, etc. using icloud, then your account is working. Have you set up photo stream on all your devices/macs? On device, settings>icloud. On mac, System Preferences>iCloud.
I think you have to turn it on in iphoto as well.
Once turned on, only new photos on an iphone/iPad are added to Photo Stream, not existing ones.

Wait for a few month. iCloud Photo Library (Beta) and the Photos.app for Mac are being beta tested now and will be available soon on your Mac. Then you can store your photo library in iCloud and keep optimised versions of your photos on your Mac locally, with the full sized versions in iCloud. Thank you Roger! Going into my iTunes at least allowed me to delete my credit card info so they can't charge it. In the meantime, after 2 calls I finally got connected to a Senior Advisor from Apple who was able to manually go into my account and remove the automatic charge to my credit card. After sharing my screen, she was able to see the issue many others are having being unable to downgrade. There is a bug in the system that tells you the manage storage is "unavailable at this time". She followed me through several of these threads and realized it is actually an issue. She took all the relevant information and will submit a bug fix request. She even admitted that goal and apple were having an issue syncing to the correct time zone at that there was no know fix at this time. While frustrating, the honesty was refreshing.
Thank you SO much for you quick response on this! My apologies for my tone; this was my first time using this forum. I went through Apple support and didn't realize that there are no Apple employees on here. I was on the line with someone from customer service that wasn't as helpful at the time and was very frustrated..
Thanks again for your help! To all others having this problem, keep calling Apple tech support until you get a Senior Advisor - they will help!! The advisor even told me to tell people to call in and that they need to manually downgrade on their end until they get this issue resolved.
