No, it won't ruin the battery. You can stop/start charging iPhone batteries whenever you want, although it is better to give it a full charge the very first time so that the charging cycle starts fully.

I have bought an ipad, and when i go to reset it, it needs the restrictions password which i dont know. When i plug it into itunes, it asks to turn find my iphone off, which needs the password of the old owners itunes.What should i do?
If you're able to contact the person who set the lock, send them this link and tell them to follow its instructions.
If not, you can't use the device but may be able to get it refunded. Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the original owner(assuming they're alive.)

Hi, I have connected my iPhone 5 to iTunes, backed it up and then started the update but there was a problem, now my phone will not work, it asks to restore factory settings which I have tried 3 times, each time it says the device has an unknown error and the phone switches off. Please help.
Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! If someone has a solution to this it would be greatly appreciated.

This is not very iTunes Public Site Manager related... but I was in the same situation as you a little while ago.
1 - Sync/back up your old 3gs.
2 - Activatie your new phone when connected to itunes via cable and it will ask you if you want to restore our old phone.
3 - ???

Sounds like your iPhone is locked to the wireless carrier you used
in Bahrain. Contact that wireless carrier to see if they offer unlocking
and if you qualify. Only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked
can unlock it.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Remember that the warranty is not international. You will have to
return the iPhone to Bahrain for repair/replacement if it needs service. -
I have a new iPhone 4 which I cannot sync until I upgrade to the latest version of iTunes software (version 10.2.2). Upon trying to upgrade, I keep receiving a message which states, "The URL could not be opened." Anyone else had the same problem & does anyone have a solution? I dropped my Iphone 5 which resulted in it shattering and the screen was still on but it was black with only a white line through it so I couldnt access the phone however I switched over to my Droid and now I cannot send or receive messages and I cant turn off imessage because I cant see anything on the screen. Then the bottom of the support document states that if you do not have access to the device (which unfortunately because of the screen issue you do not) to contact Apple Care. That is what you need to do.

I have restored my iphone 5 for the second time today, and it keeps crushing after 1hour of having completely restored it through iTunes. What am I supposed to do? I deleted some apps I had recently installed, even changed the background refresh. What else?
Well... it said iPhone Recovery Mode, and I pressed 'Restore iPhone' after which it asked me if I am sure that I want to restore the phone to factory settings, I pressed 'yes'. After 20-30min it eventually came to the 'Hello' page where I had to sign in with my Apple ID, and then saw the icons of each of my apps. which one by one turned from grey to their full colour as they downloaded one by one. After 1-2 hours of having completed all the app downloads, I found the phone shut and could not turn it on with the normal way. And this happened after 2 restore sessions. Is there something I need to do, or I need to request a replacement. I have had the phone for 11months, and crushing problems begun on the 13 of Nov, which was a few days after I updated to iOS7. But today is already 48hours since I have not been able to use my iPhone properly.

I have a n IPhone 4S. I upgraded to IOS7 and then tried tp go back to my prevous IOS and now my phone will not turn on at all.
I tried to do the same, but couldn't find ios 6. I even tried the APPstore, to download the last IOS6 version.
The most problem is the running out of the battery.
I've checked each app who is "eating" the most power.
The battery stoped runaway, when I closed the weather service....
So for now, I will use regular internet service, and probbaly will do to more app.
Until, finaly, I will find my self with all the applications closed....:-)
That will be the sign, to replace my phone to anderoid....:-)
Till now, there is no any sign from Apple to have a glance to our complanes. -

You're being lied to. There is no code. The unlock process is summarized as follows:
You request an unlock from the carrier
Your carrier enters the request into their system
time passes...and passes...and passes
Eventually someone at the carrier approves the request
The approved request is sent to Apple
It goes into a queue at Apple
Eventually (usually 1-2 days) Apple updates their activation database to show the phone as unlocked
You then connect the phone to iTunes on your computer and click the "Restore iPhone" button in iTunes
If the request has been processed, when the Restore is complete you will get a message "Congratulations. Your iPhone is unlocked"

My macbook pro recently got swiped and I lost all my data, problem is, just before it was swiped I set up my new iphone 5 which transferred all my photos and music over which is no longer on the computer. What will happen to my phone if I plug it in?
I never used icloud before so there is no data to back up from. I just spoke to the apple store and they said that if I do plug it in, all the data will be swiped....is there a program I can use to transfer my data from my phone to computer without loosing it all ???

go to itunes preferences, store, uncheck automatic downloads. also when your phone is connected you can click on apps and only check the ones you want on your phone, go down to the bottom right and click apply.
