HT4759 icloud grayed out on ipad2

my icloud if grayed out on my ipad  cant figure out why?

You need to restore from a backup made before the code was set. If no such backup exists, restore to factory settings.

  • ICloud grayed out, restrictions won't allow reset?

My son set restrictions (and a password) on my iPhone, causing iCloud to gray out. The answer would be to reset the iPhone to factory settings, but I cannot do so until I can get into iCloud to turn off "find my iPhone." My son is special needs, and cannot tell me what password he set. How can I reset the phone?

    See if this helps

if not, it is a hardware failure. Contact Genius bar/AT&T for evaluation and possible replacement.

  • ICloud grayed out?

My I icloud app on my iPhone 4 is all grayed out. Anyone familiar with this problem? Is there a way to reinstall?

    @debbiefrompenryn
This maybe because Restrictions have been enabled on the device.
    Go to:
    Settings,
    General,
Restrictions, type in your Restriction Password,
    Accounts, tick Allow Changes.
Press the back key a few times till you're back in Settings, you should see iCloud is now highlight able, now go to Mail Contacts and Calenders and add/amend your email account as per norm.
    Hope this helps.

  • Under Settings Facetime and iCloud grayed out

On my iPhone5 under settings, both the iCloud and Facetime are grayed out?  I cannot make Facetime calls?  Anyone got an idea?
    Thanks,

Check to see if iMessage is activated too. They work together and if iMessage is not activated, then Facetime will error as well. See if making this change helps.

  • ICloud grayed out on iPhone 4 running IOS 5

On my iPhone 4 running IOS 5, in settings, I can not tap iCloud or Twitter because they are gray.  I just installed IOS5 last night and it did not ask me to set up iCloud.  Is iCloud only avaialble on the 4S? Why would they be gray?  How do I fix it?

I had this question too, but after hours of searching on here I found it!!  You likely have your "restrictions" on to have things disabled.  Turn them off (or enabled).

  • Twitter and iCloud  grayed out; what happened?

All I know is durring setup I said yes to using iCloud but no to syncing my iPad to it because it wouldn't for some reason now it won't let me see the iClud or Twitter portion of Settings.
Also (not as important) is there a way to turn wifi syncing off? I'm pretty much already by my laptop if I need to sync my iPad so it seems rather useless to me...

I just reset all settings in (settings<general<reset<"reset all settings") and set up as new device thru icloud and all is well...it doesnt delete your apps or info or anything
    works perfect now

  • HT4759 How do I change the Apple ID in iCloud?    I changed my Apple ID but when I am in settings in iCloud it is grayed out and still has the old Apple ID and I don't know how to change to the new id

How do I change my Apple ID in iCloud.      I changed my Apple ID but when I go to settings iCloud the old id is grayed out and won't let me change it now because my password is for the new id but I can out the new id in the Apple ID spot

Does it show a Delete Account option at the bottom of Settings > iCloud?  What happens if you hit that?

  • 91 Days and counting and Photo Stream still grayed out in iCloud CP

Well, in the past 11 days, my daughter produced twin boys. However, Apple hasn't fixed the crummy attempt at iCloud for 91 days now.
91 Days and counting and Photo Stream still grayed out in iCloud CP since problem first discussed with Apple. No help, just reported to software engineers for investigation. Three months ago!

Photo Stream works fine between 2iPhone4Ssand one iPad2.
Completely removed iTunes, per tech help instructions, and completely remove iCloud.

Photo Stream still grayed out on PC iCloud Control Panel

I have posted a fix that works for two issues:
You can't sign onto iCloud Control Panel;  just hangs with a spinning progress wheel forever..
You CAN sign onto iCloud Control Panel, but things like photostream are greyed out

If you have iCloud control panel open, close it. Make sure its not even minimized on your system tray.
Copy this path to your clipboard: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Preferences
Goto 'start -> run' (or click 'windows+r' hotkey)
Paste the path in the run box and hit enter
From the folder that is opened, rename 'MobileMeAccounts.plist' out of the way (or you can delete it if want..)
Restart iCloud control panel and try logging on again. MobileMeAccounts.plist is regenerated the next time you sign out from control panel.
Apparently MobileMeAccounts.plist is getting screwed up in a couple different ways and prevents this from working correctly.  After you log on control panel again, photostream will not be greyed out.  You will have to reselect your custom path you want to store your pictures unless you just wanted to stick with the default path control panel is set to.
