Does anybody know what ((null)) mean on the top of my Apple Mail? Has something to do with the outgoing smtp server...but what does it mean? Thanks in advance. Joeri

1. Try doing a reset(no data will be lost):
Disconnect the iPhone from any computer. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears. Given your information, I suspect this won't work but try it anyway.
2. If that doesn't solve the issue, backup the device and restore it as new to isolate the issue to hardware failure.
In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions

It means that your screen rotation is locked. Open up the control center by sliding your finger up from the very bottom of the screen, and click on the screen rotation lock symbol, which is the same symbol you see on the status bar.

You can see the model number in Settings>General>About>Model. The model number has a two-letter code, a number and some more letters. The last part stands for the country/region. The first letter can be "F" (refurbished), "M" (normal retail), or "P" (personalized / engraved). For example MC605B is the model MC605 and B is for the region.

How to avoid messages going automatically to the archive folder in Apple Mail?

Dear list members, I've been using Apple Mail (version 7.3 (1878.6)) on my MacBook Pro 13" (9,2) (MacOS 10.9.4) for years to integrate my GMail, university, and other e-mail accounts in the imap mode. Since some weeks, Mail is behaving odd: some messages are sent automatically to the archive folder. That's quite annoying, as I have to move them manually back to the inbox folder, and sometimes I mess some messages. I did not change any config in Apple Mail or my e-mails servers. Could you please help me solve this problem? Thanks.

The Archive folder in Apple Mail is linked to the All Mail "label" in Gmail. A label is treated like an IMAP folder, but it really isn't the same thing.
In case you weren't aware, Gmail saves every email you send or receive inside the All Mail label. In Gmail, you can tag a file with multiple labels. So, a file that comes into Gmail appears in two places at once, the Inbox and All Mail. When you trash a file, the Inbox label is removed, but it still remains in All Mail.
Previously, the All Mail label was hidden from you in Mail. Apple has been trying to make Mail work with Gmail, but that hasn't been going well.
I have never had a problem, but I have both Gmail and Apple Mail set up such that any email I trash actually gets deleted and not stored on the Gmail server. I also have it set to no display the All Mail folder at all. This may not be a fix as others have similar setups, but have problems with Gmail.
This is how I set it up. I followed the original article, not the Part Deux article. However, you don't need to change the IMAP path prefixes or the label names in Gmail settings. I just have the part where I configured it to delete the emails when I trash them, and hid all the Labels I didn't care to see in IMAP.
Remember, this may not resolve your problems. I don't know of another "fix."

Assuming this is an iCloud mail account, sign out of iCloud in its preference pane, then sign back in with the new password.

* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

What does Checkmark at the top of the image mean?

I have not figured out what a checkmark means when it shows up superimposed over an image, just under the top edge of the image and centered.
Seems not related to image rating.

This means that the checked image is the "pick" in a stack or within a group of versions. I find that Aperture puts that check mark there when you add adjustments to a version. To me, this means that Aperture assumes that because you are adding adjustments, it is probably better than the the non-adjusted version. You can of course change the "pick" by selecting another image and choosing the appropriate menu item (sorry I don't have Aperture on this computer right now, so I can't tell you which one) or you can click on that green box with a check mark in it if you have put in your toolbar.

I have looked through the documentation for the NI 9881, but have not found any mention of the meaning of the two LEDs. Does anyone know what they mean?

I don't think XNET and CANopen use the same LED definitions.
The CANopen LED usage is documented in the CANopen spec, part 3 "Indicator specification".This should be available on the web.
Key experpts:
One LED shall be red and shall be labeled as ERR LED. This LED shall be called theerror LED
The other LED shall be green and shall be called and labeled as RUN LED.
Mandatory ERR LED table:

in ale's u hav a method called change pointers in which u can send some data which has to be changed in reciever system,so u hav to define the fields u want to send through change pointers method in BD52.
if already exists no need to give,if not exist just give thm and save.
ex: u hav sent a material from client 100 to 300.
now u want to change basic uom(meins) for tht material thn u define [ material mara meins] in BD52 and save.

What's Up with the Netflix App on Apple TV?

Am I the only one who absolutely hates the Netflix app on the Apple TV?
I mean don't get me wrong, I love Air Play, my iTunes Library and the way the Apple TV just completes my ecosystem... but I HATE the netflix app on the Apple TV.
My only solution to this problem right now has been to just use my laptop, hook up air play, and use the Netflix.com's system... But that's really not a good fix is it? I mean both the PS3 and XBOX360 have a legit, easy-to-use interface.. but the Apple TV's just feels stale...
I've repeatedly gotten lost in the navigation of it all. The controls aren't exactly confusing.. but they're surely not "intuitive." I guess I just expected more out of an Apple App.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
