HT4796 Can I copy musics from my ipod shuffle to my iTunes?

I have musics in my ipod shuffle which had been played for many years. The copy in my iTunes of old PC had been lost.
Is it possible to copy all these musics from ipod shuffle to my new iTunes in new PC?

iPods (except iPod touch which is really an iPhone minus the phone) only sync with your computer running iTunes.  So it needs to go through the computer.
Since you loaded the iPod from your computer's iTunes library, you can just load the same songs from your iTunes library to the iPad.

Can i transfer music from my ipod to someone elses itunes account??

CD's you can give to them to rip to their own iTunes.  If you do that, legally you are supposed to delete any copies you may have in your posession as you no longer own the content.
For iTunes purchases, they are permanently tied to the account they were purchased with.
You can always gift the content via iTunes to your friend, purchase and give them CD's, or let them buy their own copies.

  • IPOD 4GB can i copy music from one IPOD to the other

I have tried doing this but it comes up with your not authorised .

You can't copy directly from one iPod to another, the songs have to be transferred to iTunes first and your second iPod is updated from there. The transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod

If the above option is too much work you may want to look into iRip which you can find information on it at http://thelittleappfactory.com/irip/ there are other software out there starting from free and going up in price, but iRip has a free demo to recover 100 tracks.

  • How to copy music from my ipod to a new itunes?

I used my friend's itunes sometime ago, then i have all his music on my ipod. now i want to use my itunes, but the problem is, if i sync my ipod using my itunes, then all the previous songs that exist on my ipod that i got from my friend's itunes will be disappearing. is there any way to copy music from ipod to itunes?
    this system is frustrating...
    anyone can help me?

    Welcome to AD!
See, that's why they made iPods to really only sync in one direction - from PC to iPod.
The artists want you to buy your own copy of those songs. You're not supposed to share with your friends!
There are plenty of posts here on AD about getting stuff off your iPod. Search the forums for posts by Zevoneer.

  • HT1296 can i transfer music from my ipod to a new itunes library?

My laptop crashed, and I'm trying to get my music from my ipod touch (1st generation) to my new computer.  The cloud let me get only songs I purchased from iTunes, but the music I ripped from cds is not available on the cloud.
I'd like to transfer my iPod touch library to iTunes on my new computer and then sync it with my iPad (1st generation).
    PLEASE HELLP!!!

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Use your backup copy to put everything back.
The ipod is not a backup/storage device.  The sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The only exception is itunes purchases

  • How can I copy music from my ipod to my itunes library?

I have an ipod nano with all my itunes purchases plus a bunch of music I put on from my old cds.  When I synced my ipod to my new computer it only synced my purchases, not my other downloads.  How can I get all my music onto my itunes library?  I'd even be happy to just add new songs and playlists to my ipod but not fully update the itunes library.  Can anyone help?
The pod to pc programs online don't seem to work on my computer...

  • Can I transfer music from my Ipod to my computer after computer crash?

We had problems with our computer and had to run recovery on it. Everything that was stored in the computer is gone, including all the music we downloaded to ITunes from old CDs. All the music is still stored in my IPod touch. Is there any way I can transfer the music FROM the IPod back to my ITunes library?

    Welcome to the discussion,
Make sure your newly installed computer is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your ipod, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.
This will save data, pictures and settings to itunes. See what's included in this backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your ipod got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.
    Restoring: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there to do what you want, but not supported by Apple, so you'll have to do this on your own risk. See this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

  • How do i play music from my ipod shuffle gen 4 on external powered speakers

Can I play music from my IPOD shuffle gen 4 using external powered speakers?  If so, how do I hook it up?

First a curiosity question. Why do you want to play through the computer? Why not use headphones?
Ok, now to your question. I have never done this before, but this intrigued me. I did some experimenting and got it to work. Here is what I did:
    1) Connect Touch to computer.
    2) Open iTunes.
    3) Your device will show up in the left panel.
    4) Click the little triangle next to your device to expand it.
    5) You now have access to the different content on the Touch.
I have played stuff from Music, Movies and my playlists. Everything works the same way as if it was on your PC.
Hope that helps and good luck!

  • I had set up and Itunes account years ago....older Ipod.......old PC died....trying to access my old music library from my new PC after downloading software.   How do I find and access my library.  I can sink my music from my Ipod to the new PC and softwa

I am an older novice user. I gave my Itouch to my duaghter....and took her Ipod Classic 64.....have used and played the songs but not updated in a couple years. The laptop I set the account up from died and I downlowded the new 10.6 software onto this PC. /When i signed in to my account I cannot seem to find a place to find my old library.  I had more music and movies on the library than on the Ipod classic....was hoping to find it all before i sync up again.
Any tips on how to find or access the old library or did I lose it with the old laptop?  LOL...a confused oldie....would like tomove music to my Iphone once all is found and resumed.
Thanks in advance for any insight or suggetions.

The old iTunes library was lost with the old PC.  However, it all that music and content is still on your iPod there are many ways you can extract this content from the iPod and import it back into iTunes.
Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time.  It will recognize the iTunes library on the new PC as a new library.  If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library.  So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.

  • How can I copy songs from one iPod to another?

I received a new iPod Classic (last generation) and I'm trying to transfer my songs from my old iPod Nano (also last generation).
My iTunes library is also split up between my two parent's houses and I only have half the songs on my Nano in this computer's library.
Is there a way to copy only the songs on the +iPod Nano+ (not the iTunes library) and drop them onto the new iPod?

You can't copy directly from one iPod to another, you have to copy the songs back to iTunes and update the new iPod from there. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7.
