I just got a new iPad it had 6.0 iOS and it would not let me restore from the cloud . I had to set up as new to update to 6.1 iOS now I can't find my backups in the cloud help please..

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • After installinf ios6 I lost all contacts, I could not get them back so I hit restore. This restored the phone to 4 months back. The phone did not give me the option to restore from the cloud. is there anyway I can now restore from the cloud?

How many backups are in the cloud? When I installed ios6 it backed up to the cloud, since then I restored the phone trying to regain my contacts. At this point the used the last backup I performed on the computer 5 months ago. I never had the oppertunity to restore from the cloud. Is there anyway I can now restoe from the cloud and would it have the backup that was performed when I installed ios6?

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your phone.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your phone is new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

  • Iphone 5s wont restore from the cloud

I just purchased an iphone 5s and am trying to restore from the cloud. I think my contacts are fine but i only get about half of my photos... Why? Please help...

Your Mac would need to be running OS X 10.7.5 or higher, and you had iPhoto '11 9.2.2 or higher or Aperture 3.2.3 or higher in order to see your photo stream.  If you went to System Preferences>iCloud, signed into your account and checked Photos, you would be able to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days (older photos are no longer in iCloud).
I guess I don't know why you would get a message that there isn't enough room to back up your phone if you were restoring a backup.  As a long shot, you could try restoring the backup again using the approach posted by ezjules here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589 (open the camera roll after the phone restarts during the backup and keep it open until the backup completes).  It seems to have worked for some people.  Otherwise, you can call Apple support for free if your phone is less than 90 days old: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/.  You'll need your serial number to set up the call, which you can find in Settings>General>About.

  • I am using iTunes Match, and wish to restore from the cloud to itunes. Why do I have to select one at a time to download?

I am using iTunes Match, and had to restore all of my music (.3000 songs). Problem is, I don't see where can restore them all at once. I can do it for all purchased items from the Cloud, but not for songs/content that I added on my own from CD's. I have had to click the cloud icon for each song....really, my hand is about to cramp. Is there a restore all function for non-purchased songs? If not, it needs to be added to the Match software.
    Thanks

Instead of steaming you can just download directly from the cloud.  Don't you see the cloud icon with a downward arrow? You may have already downloaded then then. Turn off iTM and see if the songs are still present.

  • HT4859 Restore from the Cloud

Solution Needed: When trying to restore backup of iPad from the cloud I get error "Could not sign in  Apple ID couldn't be created because of a server error".  I have good internet connection and am communicating with the server with my iPhone. Is there something I can do but wait and try later.

Your phone must be running the same or higher version of iOS as the one you backed up in order to restore the backup.  If it isn't, update it in iTunes, set it up as a new device, then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Conent and Settings, then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.  Your backup should then be available to restore from.

  • Once synced, how to download from the cloud?

I have synced all my music to my new iPhone but when I go to look at the music on my iPhone, pretty much every song has that arrow and cloud next to it.  Do I have to click on that symbol on every song to download the songs onto my iPhone?  I have over 1,000 songs and manually doing that seems a little crazy.  My music is on my iPhone but in the cloud.  How do I download it from the cloud?

The cloud icon means that those songs are only in the cloud, they are not stored on your phone - you haven't synced those tracks.
Are those tracks stored in the Music part of your computer's iTunes library, they don't also have the cloud icon against them there ? If they are in your iTunes library then you should be able to sync them over to your phone. If you don't have them in your computer's iTunes library then you can download them, either via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes (there should be a 'download all' button at the bottom right of the music tab), or you can tick the 'show iTunes in the cloud purchases'  tickbox on the Store tab in Edit > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac) which will get them to show in the Music part of your iTunes library with a cloud (clicking on the cloud icon next to them will let you download them, but only one-by-one). Or you can download them one-by-one on your phone

  • Had to replace battery which wiped out everything. restored from the cloud, but when I hook up to computer, won't sync. keeps asking if I want to re-store again. Ideas?

Had to replace battery, which wiped out everything. Backed up from the cloud, but when I hook to computer, won't sync. Keeps asking if I want to re-store the phone.
    Ideas?

no apple store replaced. they said there were 3 apple programs that kept crashing in background, which ran battery down cause they kept trying to re-load.
they backed up phone to cloud, wiped out old software and replaced new software & new battery. since then won't sync with itunes on computer.

  • How do I wipe and restore from the cloud

Hello, I recently lost the computer I was locally syncing my ipad to (it crashed badly). I have enabled the icloud sync for the iPad 2 I use to be backed up there. I need to wipe the tablet (so I am told) so I can reinstall the messaging app and properly set the account info so I get messages from my VZB iphone on the device. Has anyone done a"cloud back up down load" did it work? Or am I in trouble? Also how do you "wipe" or reset the ipad for back up info to be reinstalled?

    15. You'll see progress bar
    16. Red slider will appear; slide to unlock; step #1 to #16 is fast
    17. Pre-installed apps will be restored first
    18. Message: Purchased apps and media will now be automatically downloaded
    19. You'll see a pageful of apps with Waiting/Loading/Installing
