I'm wondering if there is anyway to change your backup settings through iCloud to only sync the camera roll as opposed to all of the other folders as well. Considering your new pictures automatically save in your camera roll, it would make sense to be able to just save the new pictures one would think. I'm pretty sure it's not possible, but I was hoping that I may be overlooking something. Thanks in advance

Photo stream only adds new photos by design. It also only adds photos from the camera roll, not any albums (folders)*. Photos added to the camera roll are automatically added to photo stream, once enabled. The remain in photo stream for 30 days. After 30 days they are deleted from photo stream, but will remain in your My Photo Stream folder until deleted.
*Any album that includes photos from your camera roll only contains links to the photos in the camera roll, not duplicate photos. Photo stream doesn't add these "photos" because the actual photos they link to are in the camera roll.

I just got a new iPhone 5c, which was an upgrade from my 4s. I backed up my 4s to my computer, instead of iCloud. I'm about to plus my 5c into the computer and I was wondering if there is a way to choose what I was to restore to my phone? For an example, when I plug my phone in, it will ask me if I want to restore my backup to this phone. I don't want messages to load back onto it, I just want the pictures, and I already uploaded all the apps myself. Is there a way to only do pictures? When it gets to the menu if I want to reload this phone or start fresh what would I click on? Thanks.

Transferring a backup is all or none.
You can import the photos/videos from the 4S camera roll with your computer as with any other digital camera which you should have already been doing.

You can transfer select photos/videos from your computer to the new iPhone via the iTunes sync process - selected under the Photos tab for your new iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.

IS there anyway to organize all of your photos in your camera roll by date? ... I have a iPhone 4 and I recently had to reset it...when I backed it up on my windows 7 pc I retrieved all of my photos but there weren't in the right order as they were before ... There is no option to sort photos with various options in the Camera Roll on your iPhone just as there is no way to do the same with a digital camera. The default sort order is by date and time - as photos are captured or saved from another source such from a received email or text message.
Not sure why the sort order changed with your iPhone's backup, but there this can't be changed.

In previous versions, there was a choice to remember browsing history for a certain number of days, but in the current version the only choices seem to be to remember history or not remember history, with no way to customize in between. I don't want to have to clear my history and cache manually all the time, but I don't want it cleared every time I close my browser, either. Has the customization feature been removed entirely or am I missing something? And if it's been removed entirely, could it please be brought back? It's helpful for people who want their older browsing history to be deleted without deleting the entire history.

Any way to open/retrieve encrypted Camera Roll photos

I had to restore my iphone 3GS.....is there a way to open/retrieve the Camera Roll photos that were on this phone? I regularly sync'd this phone, with "encrypted backup" enabled.
I have since purchased a new iPhone4 and want to restore the 3GS encrypted backup (camera roll) to the iPhone 4.

I'm sure it was the right backup since that was the only backup I ever did.
Perhaps the iPod Touch issue which I brought it in for the troubleshooting later that day.. also caused it to backup the camera roll pictures up to a point too (The month and a half where I'm missing the other photos)?
My device issue was that most notifications went missing and the inability for my iPod Touch to update any of my apps. It would show waiting/loading and then just return to a normal app icon like it had finished, but instead the update never occurred. The Apple specialist who helped me seemed puzzled and the final solution employed which worked was updating me to iOS 5.
I had tried restoring to factory settings and reinstalling previously to going to the Apple store for help. It only fixed my problems for a week, before they returned.
I do hope tho' I'm not SOL and the rest of the data is hidden in my backup..

Because it says it's incompatible when it can't be, I got hope. I get error messages all the time with my iPod and iPhone that it cannot sync and that 'this device is not capapble of connecting to iTunes' stuff. I literally forget that happened, plug it in again and it works, I later realize that iTunes made a mistake, they do that.

One method you can use, along with optimizing your website for increased loading efficiency in browsers, is to publsh to a folder on your hard drive and use Web Site Maestro to optimize and upload only the new or modified files with its Smart Handling feature.
If you publish to a folder you can use the synchronizing feature of Cyberduck, help/en/howto/sync – Cyberduck, to upload only those new or changed files.

The DB version is 11.1.0.7.
The "CATALOG START WITH" not only catalog backup set that are not in the RMAN catalog, but also catalog a second copy for files that are already in the catalog.
Files are not a second copy; they are the same file in the same directory.
Having two copies in the catalog, through an error when deleting explicitly the backups.
We have to add the force clause to avoid the error.
RMAN> delete FORCE backup tag 'offsite-1';
The force clause ignores any I/O error.
The delete is part of our scheduled offsite backup script, which returns a false positive error when the force clause is ommited.
I don't want the force clause, in order to be notify if the backup set that are expected to be on disk are no more there, e.g., if someone had deleted files manually at the OS level bypassing rman.

I have to enter my Firefox Sync account information every time I open the browser. Is there a way to get Sync to retain this information?

Using Firefox 3.6.12 with Firfox Sync 1.5.1. When I open Firefox I have to go to Sync settings and put in all my Sync account information. One the information is in place everything sync's up fine and I am alright until I close Firefox. Once I open Firefox again I have to input all of my Sync account settings again. Is there a way to get Sync to remember all of my settings so that it connects and syncs every time I start Firefox?
