HT4847 My iPad has the message, "iCloud backup - hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Back ups happen when the iPad is plugged in and connected to WiFi. The device will not let me click "ok" it is frozen and will not turn off allow access to other functions
My iPad is locked up, the message "iCloud backup hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks, needs to be plugged in, locked and connected to WiFi." It is unresponsive to the "ok" command to move forward with the backup. It is stuck.
Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it. -

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

I've plugged it in, it should be connected to rgour home wi-fi, but I cant get the message to go away when I push OK. I cant get it to do anything. It is fully charged, but I can't even turn it off (won't let me), Just continues to post the iCloud Backup message.

What do yoou do when your iPad freezes up. My iPad is plugged in each night and is connected to Wi-Fi. This morning the following message appears:

"This iPad hasn't been backed up in 6 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."
I press OK and it does not budge. I try to power off. The red arrow appears but it does not slide to power off. The iPad has simply frozen on the home page.
MikeTry resetting it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing. You won't lose any data by doing this.

Somehow my iPad got switched for messaging to showing from my email. There is no option showing to use my phone number. How do I get it back to my phone number? This happened when I upgraded my iPhone today, but the iPhone messaging is using the phone number fine. It's only the iPad messaging that is messed up. Help, pls.

Can't get it to unlock, it has an icloud backup message on the screen and won't let me cancel the message and log on? Tried to shut the machine off and it won't turn off with the button either. locked???

It will try to make a backup every time your iPad is plugged to the charger and connected to a network. To prevent that this message appears soon, open Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, and choose Backup Now
