HT4847 Photo backup on pc from icloud website ?

Can i access photos from the icloud website taken on my iphone or ipad, but accessed via a pc ? I don't see a photo stream icon on the site ! This would make printing pics much easier.

You cannot access Photo Stream using iCloud.com.
To use Photo Stream on a PC you must download and install the iCloud control panel.

Hi, I know this is stupid, but without going into the how, I deleted important photos and actually backed up my icloud, so I think they are gone completely! I am furious with my self, is there anyway to retrieve this data from some space even if I have to be charged by apple ... just being hopeful...

Photo stream photos are not backed up, and when you delete them from one device, they are also deleted from iCloud and your other devices. If they were in your camera roll when you last back up you device, restoring the backup should recover them. Otherwise, they are, unfortunately, gone.
Also, photo stream photos don't use any of your iCloud storage so deleting them won't free any storage up in your account.
You can't really use iCloud to back up your photos. It's designed to stream them to your devices and share with others, not to back them up. In fact, photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days. In order to back up your photos, import them to your computer while they are still in your camera roll, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. Or, if you have a Mac that is signed into your account with photo stream enabled, and you are using iPhoto '11 9.2.2 or later, go to iPhoto>Preferences>iCloud and check Automatic Import. This will ensure that your photo stream photos are automatically imported to your iPhoto library where they will be safe (especially if you are using Time Machine to back up your Mac).

How to I get my photos and apps back from iCloud?

Yesterday I had to get a replacement iPhone 4S. I didn't have time to wait for my photos and apps to restore from iCloud and I want to do it now. Everything is saying "waiting" but there are no status bars on anything and after 1 hour, nothing has restored.

If you no longer have the phone or have any Backup of it at all, you can re-download your apps and your content from the iTunes Store by logging into your Apple ID at settings> iTunes & App Store. Unfortunately you can no longer recover the data that was associated with those apps.
So far as your photos go, you can recover any photos that were in photo stream and taken less than 30 days ago by logging in with your Apple ID to settings> iCloud> photos. Unfortunately you will be unable to recover any photos from your camera roll.

ICloud emails sent from apple mail or iPhone 3gs never arrives, works fine when sent from iCloud website

The ony place I have been able to send and receive email since the launch of iCloud has been the icloud website. I wasn't able to send email from my iphone 3gs or apple mail at all until today, now it finally appears to let me send email but it never arrives to its destination.
I can send an email from the icloud website without issue, and email sent from my icloud account using my iphone 3gs and apple mail seems to send fine and without error but who knows where it goes.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I figured out how to fix it... if anyone else has this problem, go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts > select the IMAP account > Advanced > Folders and for "Store Sent Messages in this Folder:" select "Sent Messages (Server)."

ICloud: is there anyway to restore a file with photos that was eraised from iCloud with no intention of doing it?

Please, someone help me, i had some very important photos to keep and they were mistakenly eraised from iCloud. I need to restore!
It happaned on July 10th of 2012 around 11:50hr.

What do you mean they were erased from iCloud, do you mean from photo stream. Photo stream only keeps photos that are added to it from your camera roll, are your photos not still on your camera roll.

TS3991 Please help -- my iCal data has disappeared from iCloud website!

Hi -- I just opened iCal via the iCloud website on my MacBook Air. My calendar data appeared for a flash, then disappeared -- now almost ALL of my calendar data is completely gone from the iCloud website. I checked the calendar app on my iPhone 4 and the data is still there, so I turned on Airplane Mode on my phone hoping the blank calendar wouldn't sync to my phone that way. My contacts seem to still be there.
Please help -- where did the data go, and how can I get it back onto the iCloud website? Thanks in advance!

Thank you. You may have been right about the server glitch. After hours, literally, on the phone with Support trying to load the calendar from my phone, and finally giving up, my calendar on the website was magically restored 24 hours later.
I'm guessing I'm not the only one this happened to, and that they restored to an earlier version for me and whomever else's data was lost. Pretty scary, actually -- and annoying!

HT4847 Photo Stream Backing Up To iCloud as Camera Roll

I have photostream enabled on my iPhone and iPad plus my Macbook.
I'm showing all the photos I took on my phone in photo stream and the camera roll on my ipad under the camera and in photo stream under photos. I curious if backups to icloud are including those photos to icloud.
As i have the same number of programs on the ipad and iphone but i have a 1.1 GB back up from iphone but a 2.4 GB back up from ipad.

I can’t tell you how to solve your iCloud 3.x issues. Heck, I don’t think they’re even solvable.
But if you had a previous version of iCloud that was working correctly then I can definitely tell you how to solve the “iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing to my Windows 7 PC” problem. …without even a re-boot.
Log out of iCloud 3.0 and uninstall it.
Open My Computer and then open your C:\ drive. Go to Tools/Folder Options and click on the View tab. Select the “Show hidden…” radio button and click on OK.
Open the Users folder.
Open your user folder
Open ProgramData (previously hidden folder)
Open the Apple folder – not the Apple Computer folder.
Open the Installer Cache folder
In Details view sort on Name
Open the folder for the newest entry for iCloud Control Panel 2.x – probably 2.1.2.8 dated 4/25/2013
Right click on iCloud64.msi and select Install.
When finished, the synching between iCloud and your PC will be back to working perfectly as before the 3.0 fiasco. The pictures will be synched to the same Photostream folder as before the “upgrade”. Now all you need to do is wait until Apple/Microsoft get this thing fixed and working before you try the 3.x upgrade again.
I think the iCloud 3.0 software was written by the same folks who wrote healthcare.gov with the main difference being that healthcare.gov might eventually be made to work.
For those of you who hate to go backwards, think of it as attacking to the rear. Which would you rather have, the frustration of no synching or everything working on an older version?

My main question is do I turn off icloud now or after I've set up back-up on itunes? I originally set up backup using icloud but have reached my free maximum storage. I don't want to pay for additional storage,. Do I need to back up to itunes first, then turn off icloud? Or turn off icloud then backup to itunes? Thanks!

Welcome to the Support Communities!
I would suggest backing up to iTunes first, and then just turn off the iCloud Backup setting on your iPhone. As an extra precaution, I also import my iPhone purchases into iTunes, and import my photos directly to the computer. While we are talking about backups, do you have your iTunes library backed up using Time Machine (Apple) or an external drive? Here are a couple of articles that may be helpful for you:

Photos Beta Icon Missing from iCloud

Starting yesterday I've tried to access the Photos beta through my iCloud account on a registered device (Macbook).
On Chrome, the icon for Photos beta is present, but clicking in it only resulted in an error message.... Which I was just about to paste but now the icon is missing completely. The icon is also missing from Safari.
Any thoughts or solutions from anyone else experience this? I am also told periodically by my 6 plus that the library hasn't synced in xx number of days, but I see from the forums that this another issue.

Have you sent the error report to Apple? Perhaps it will help to get the problem fixed.
The beta page - https://beta.icloud.com is giving the same error as https://www.icloud.com
Perhaps this is a good sign, that Apple is working on the next release of iCloud Photo Library (Beta).

TS4036 delete a backup in use from icloud

Hi, I need to know how can I chage the status of a backup from my previous phone. I tried to delete it from my icloud storage but says: the backup cannot be deleted because it is in use!
HELP please I sold the other phone and I need that space in my account.

How do you restore only "Notes" to iphone or ipad from backed up iCloud?

Backups will be at one of the following locations:
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista/7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
But you won't be able to read the files as it is a SQLite database, readable only with 3rd party software with ability to extract data from the backup (such as iPhone Backup Extractor).

How do I delete photos and other files from icloud?

I'm very new to Apple and despite what my son says I do not find it intuitive - perhaps that's my age! But I've tried to find the answer to this from Apple Support, but haven't succeeded. Can I manage what is stored in iCloud, in particular, can I delete photos from it?

Just a quick reminder than when you delete items from contacts on your IPAD then they are deleted on all other devices connected through that Apple ID.
It would be good to sort out what you are "syncing" and what you are storing on iCloud.
