HT4847 Sold my Mac, will my i cloud auto connect the stuff from my iPhone without my password for my apple I'd?
I had iCloud set up from my iPhone 4s to my Mac so I could get all my photos and such, then I deleted all my things on my Mac and sold it. If the new user connects to wifi will it auto send my info back to it or would he need the password to my apple ID account to for the iCloud to sync up, I dont want this dude creeping on my photos.

I have an IPhone with music on it and I have an iTunes account on my Mac book pro, its the same itunes account as my phone and it wont let me put music on my phone nor will it allow me to sync the music from my phone to the itunes on my computer. Can you please help me out???? thanks
If iPhone music is not on iTunes Library, you need a 3rd party tool to help you

My mac will not show images when on the internet? I think I have inadvertently changed some settings but nor sure which one.
I am going to assume you are using Safari here. If so then go to the Apple menu bar and hit Safari-> Preferences. Under the Apperance tab there is a check box that is called "Display images when the page opens". Check if that is unticked.

On the Touch log out of the iCloud account.
If the kids know the Apple ID and password used for the iCloud account then change your password and keep it to yourself.

My Mac will not allow me to downlode the latest iTunes and now I can not connect my phone and computer. THis is very frustrating! HELP!!!
Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Even my 12 year old Mac lets me download the newest iTunes. Of course I can't install it but any computer can download the installer files so we need to know precisely what you are trying and what error messages you are seeing. -

I am trying to use photomerge compose. I open one standard jpeg image and one image that is my business logo in a png format. When I select the png image, to extract the logo from it, it appears as all white and will not allow me to select the logo from it. It has worked in the past but I downloaded the update today and photomerge will not work correctly. Any ideas?

How do you expect anyone to help when we don't know a darned thing about the file, abut your setup, exact version of Photoshop and your OS, machine specs, etc.?

Like many others after I installed Maverick I found that all the calendar history has been lost and most of the forward info has also been lost. Also in order to get calendar, contacts and notes to sync with the iPhone I have had to move to iCloud. Contacts and notes sync fine. new calendar entries sync ok. My iPhone has all the calendar entries that were on the Mac before I installed Maverick. So far iCloud has not overwritten them nor have they synced onto iCloud.
How can I get all the entries from my iPhone onto iCloud, without losing the only copy of my calendar from my iPhone?
Thanks Apple for deciding to take over my privacy. I do not want this data stored on a US based server. Fortunately Mail still syncs via my own email provider. I guess Apple will find a way to stop that soon too!Greetings Nefertiti72,
It seems you are experiencing an issue with contact syncing and management. It seems you've removed an email account which contained a number of contacts that are not associated with your iCloud account. Select a vCard to import.
The contacts from the vCard are added to the All Contacts group in Contacts. You can add the contacts to any other group by dragging them to the desired group.

If I put my 7300 in slot4 at 8x, and a 8800GT at slot1, 16x, could I boot 10.4.11 on my mac pro 1,1 if I unplug the monitor from the 8800GT?
I have different os's installed on my different hard drives. I'm using 10.6.8 now, but I go back to 10.5.8 and 10.4.11 on accasion. Can I run 10.4.11 with the 7300 in the 8x lane? As long as I unplug the 8800GT but leave it installed in the 16x slot1? And attach a monitor to the 7300?
What about using the 7300 to run extra monitors or a monitor while running 10.5.8 and 10.6.8? Is that a problem? I have 10GB Ram and the 1,1 original machine.I know the 8800 requires 10.5.2, but if it is installed (at 16x) but no monitor is connected, will it allow the 7300 to control one or two monitors in 10.4.11? When the 7300 is in the 8x lane? And will it boot?
I lost part of your train of thought. Are you telling me to get just an ATI 5770 to continue using this machine into the future?
I thought the original mac pro 1,1 needed cards of the same manufacturer. If I use the 5770, that eliminates the ability to boot 10.4.11, correct?
What if I keep the 7300 handy in a box and put it in when I have to use 10.4.11? ( select the start up disc, shut down, change the card, restart) Does the 5770 require a power cable to another board that I might damage with repeated changes? -

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

Can someone help please ??To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally. It will try to reload the malicious webpage, but without a connection, it won't be able to. Navigate away from that page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com, and trying to load it.
